I can back him up that fried chicken shops in the UK are often really bad. Super bland and super greasy. They are not upset that the food is so good... They are upset that it's not this good In England. 😂

Again shows how much of a difference between American fried chicken and the rest of the world's. I love an amazing fried chicken and knowing how good the ones are in New Orleans confirms that America knows their food.

Im also a Louisiana Native i was born and partially raised in South Louisiana and then in the middle of 5th grade family moved to North Louisiana till 2007 then we moved back to South Louisiana which the city is called Da Berry
There is a fried chicken shop in every corner in London. You mostly go there after a late night of drinking. Taste great as a drunk food, but you usually regret it the day after.

@@TheDemouchetsREACT it’s cheap takeaway food. They all taste the same. I’m sure there are some that are good (probably more expensive), but I never found any whilst I was living in London.
I tried Willie Mae's a few months ago and it is SUPER spicey! It was really good too.

I think everyone from the UK should come here to our lovely South Louisiana and go buy some Slap ya Momma and some Tony's and bring it back with them and use it in there fried chicken
I think what he was trying to say, is that if you claim you have the BEST fried pigeon in the WORLD, you just might be right, because there's not a lot of people who are serving fried pigeon to compare you're fried pigeon to, but if you're claiming to have the BEST fried chicken in the World, that might be harder to prove because there's A LOT of great fried chicken in the World.

I keep seeing these two friends commenting on Brit Cooking lacking the spices. Yet, since the 1500s, British global sailing was based on the spice trade, the spice routes - what did they do with it?!! They obviously didn't base their cuisine on it. "Trashing food" was a reference to cheap frying with flour only. Of course, Lobster (the sea's cockroaches) were handed out to dockhands as payment because lobster was considered 'trashy food'.

We don't eat bland chicken in the UK sweetheart. Theirs a heavy influence of Caribbean Indians African Chinese etc all over the country cooking chicken. Theirs KFC poppeys and a billion other chicken shops. We ok

In Britain, the main staple is Fish and chips. Pizza is SO expensive. So along with KFC, Britain started doing chicken fast foods.

They both lived in Korea for years and appreciate Korean fried chicken and good fried chicken in general so Ollie was specifically pointing out how trashy UK's fried chicken is.

I haven't tried UK's fried chicken game, but I have a very distinct core memory of chicken being the first meal I had while over there. A completely non-seasoned chicken breast that was just boiled, with equally unseasoned peas and mashed potatoes, the latter of which had no gravy; there was salt and pepper on the table but that is not enough to help. It's a core memory from how absolutely drab it was, frankly it's no wonder they're so baffled by the flavor American food has.
Those mushy peas were awful. The steak was worse. Wound up eating all the meals at an italian joint.

Fried chicken is” trashy food” in the same sense that pizza is “trashy food”. It’s tasty but horrible for your heart and arteries.
So I watch Kabir Considers quite a bit and fried chicken isn’t nearly as popular in the UK as it is here in the U.S. Kabir himself was flabbergasted as to how flavorful Popeyes chicken was, but he prefers KFC.
KFC is bland to us😂
