Fun fact: originally this wasn't intended to be a feature film but an episode of The X-Files. Director James Wong and Screenwriter Glen Morgan were actually writers for the show and the original idea was centered on a group of adults, not kids on their senior trip, who get off a plane moments before it explodes and, in the episode, it would've been Scully's brother who had the premonition.
Edit: The fifth movie in the series has one of the best executed, most unexpected twists I've ever seen in a horror movie. I really hope you stick through this series because the first three are excellent, the fourth movie falls pretty flat, but the last movie which is on par with the first three in my opinion.
@@bathecat9834 your remember the log well it was like that but instead of killing him on inpatient it did crush his lower half but he died in the hospital a few hours later
@Fauxindigo I do! Don't get me wrong. The first one is great because its the pioneer, but 2 takes it to the next level and then some and 5 has a great twist.
i showed my grandma this movie for the first time a few months ago and she burst out laughing at that scene 🤣 i thought she would’ve been grossed out but nope!
They had to specifically add the Alex drinking the seltzer water scene after to give the audience a chance to calm down. Test screening reactings had the audience walking out for a bit.
Yeah... I saw this in the theaters as a freshman in HS. The crash of TWA 800 was still in recent memory which was a big deal at the time being that a 747 blew up minutes after take off from JFK, killing everyone onboard including a HS French class from PA. I took French freshman year and was planning on going on the yearly trip to France. After seeing this at the movies, I was like "Naw... I'll pass." Eventually went in college tho lol. On a sidenote, your prediction was right. Every film after this the plot nosedives and the deaths get more and more gory and over the top. Imo, this was the best film of the series.
Starring Alex as a student going on a school trip to France when Alex gets a premonition about the plane crashing. Freaking out he panics and causes for everyone to get thrown out inadvertently saving the entire class
If you ever get the chance head over to James Kill Count. He does the entire Final Destination franchise and each movie shares bts content and what not. Its really cool hearing a majority of the death scenes were practical and they tried to use as little CG as possible (obviouslyyyy not pertaining to that horrid 3D one lol) I grew up watching these, saw Part 1 in theaters. But it made me appreciate the movies more. Such great fun
I saw this film on Starz Freeview Weekend in 2001 and it scares the hell out of me and my family! We didn't know what we we were in for, until the plane started to take off ...
I love every Final Destination movie. Like Saw, they get progressively worse, but that's what makes it great. Has anyone suggested 'Predestination' (Ethan Hawke) movie yet? It's about "time travel..." I think, if you all haven't seen it, it's the perfect movie to mess up your head.
Can’t believe you both totally no sold Candyman, Tony Todd, as the funeral home owner. Loved this film in my late teens. They get stupider as the progress throughout the series
I think Mike and Roman should consider watching the original Candyman film plus the new one that came out this year. That'd be perfect for October. Just not the other 2 films because they suck.
@@Captstar2 3 is horrendous, there's no doubt about that. Pure dumpster fire of a movie. 2 is so-so. Not really bad per se, it just doesn't stack up well against the original film. Really, the only good thing you can say about it is that it's more watchable than 3.
@@borntogazeintonightskies it is rather more generic I will agree compared to the original but I like how they actually show what happened to Daniel Robetile and what made him this way. Possibly some nostalgia bias too since I saw it alot as a kid growing up in the late 90's and early 2000's.
But every film has a different style or idea on how they will execute the main concept of the franchise so, I guess it's still enjoyable and adds varieties to us viewers.
At the end i used to wonder why she said baby, but i found out recently that the original ending was supposed to be that alex and clear were bf and gf and that she was pregnant by him, and he sacrificed himself to save her, and she wouldve been spared because of the rule in FD2 that if you introduce life that was never meant to be, you wipe the slate clean and youre saved from deaths design
You know what saw and final destination are one of the most compared franchises having similar style of bloody kills and death due to a Mechanic involved but the intresting thing is that saw is directed by JAMES WAN and final destination by JAMES WONG .

A neat idea would be to compile a short series of over-the-top reaction clips from your older videos. Just a thought. Anyway, keep up with the great reactions! I enjoy them.
I love the saga of Final Destination💗. I'm glad you're finally watching these movies😁. I recommend the movie Martyrs (2008) is like Hostel but more disturbing
If you guys ever watched the original twilight zone. There is an episode in the second season called “twenty two” and it’s the exact same story and some of the same imagery
You can notice the number 180 many times in the movie, such as the sign that swings down at the end. It says 180, the Flight that killed all the kids. If you look carefully I think it appears many times in next few movies too.
Interesting fact: Flight 180 was actually inspired by a real plane crash. TWA flight 800. A 747 that took off from JFK , NY bound for Paris that exploded shortly after takeoff in 1996. They actually used some real news footage of the crash site in the ocean in this movie.

Yeah, great idea, tell someone that there's an unexpected twist in a movie so they can expect it.
