@@crackjack8320 dude you don't have to make it so complicated. TBI stands for Throttle Body Injection, due to the injectors being in the throttle body. Simple as that. If you wanted to say you have the heads off of a 350 or 305 TBI, you'd say " i have the stinkiest, most worthless heads general motors ever bolted to a small block v8"

Hoping to do something like this to my 93 (got a vidja of me smoking some rubber in it on my channel) I bought my Ext Cab Stepside for 2500 as of right now it’s still bone stock, I’ll probably do a magnum 280 a set of roller rockers and later on some Vortec heads. Love the sound of her it’s got a nice growl for a DD
I can try, idk when I'll have the time, computer is just a matter of I haven't been able to change it but the intake was one of the few things I didn't touch at all and it still runs fine
DSM_Dynamic Temo www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-k12-211-2 it comes with everything to install it, just needs to be broke in about 1800rpm for 20-30 mins on soft springs, take the springs off and put the hard springs in and it's good to go. I do have a pair of DNA headers from jet.com they were $120. Everything fits perfectly without having to dent the headers or getting new rocker arms.
@@loganmckinney1285 yeah, stock intake with a K&N filter, it's fine with it, still gets cool air through the fender and didn't have to change anything except locking the choke open since the new headers didn't have a spot to put the mechanism

@@loganmckinney1285 much bigger of a cam over .470 lift you'll need new heads and rocker arms but I'd be careful to keep it under 10.5:1 compression so it can stay on pump gas. Too tall of an intake and it'll lose vacuum for brakes so that's another thing
I hadn't done anything with it but it definitely would have run better if I did. Never had the time to do it myself or knew anyone that could with OBD1
It isn't, OBD1 uses an EPROM chip like those found in lottery machines and bowling alley screens and are very sensitive to being remapped so I haven't risked breaking one yet. I have adjusted the idle screw and tps to work better together a bit though.
I got the truck like that but it looks like who ever did it cut a rectangular hole out of it, welded together a tray that was the same outside dimensions and about 2-3 inches deep then welded it into the tailgate and sanded it flush

Yup, still tbi, best thing to do is to alter the throttle position sensor to read right when you adjust the throttle to help it idle. I have DNA shorty headers but i think long tubes might be a bit better for working on later because they're not stuffed up in the transmission tunnel

Mines still untuned, the biggest factor in the choppy sound is the valve overlap caused by a tight LSA this one is 110 degrees apart and you can hear in the video i have of the engine going in my S10 it has less chop at idle with a 113 degree separation

I have a 91 k2500 and that is how I want my truck to sound like. So far mine has 2.5 inch flow master, shorty headers and 3.5 inch tips.
Mines got DNA shorty headers, 2.5 inch true dual y pipes with an 18" glasspack on each pipe. Got 3.5" tips now

Using a timing light, with the wire unplugged for computer timing, you can rotate the distributor to get initial advance

Yeah, still TBI but i went from a 14 psi fuel spring that was in the video to a 12 psi spring and it helped it run a little less rich

Havent tuned it yet, they take eprom chips that have to be burnt tbough and they are very sensitive
