Lack of data is not a good argument for or against something. It’s just lack of data. I do appreciate the recommendation to try something if means and availability are present, and not outweighed by negative factors.
Disagree. Not sure why you would say patients "shouldn't have symptoms and you are not living with neurological effects of TBI" There is sufficient evidence in mild TBI.
Seven Class I RCTs show a statistically significant improvement from baseline values
. Two of two RCTs show a statistically significant improvement over Standard of Care (SoC)
Pressurized air groups (2 out of 4) show an improvement over baseline and SoC*
All studies using SPECT and MRI imaging shows improved RCBF after HBOT
.
I would love to get an update on this in 2023. I've watched a few videos from 2022, and they give me the impression there has been a lot of progress with the use of HBOT.
I had a severe TBI in early February this year. My neuro dr is recommending me to try this, 40 hrs worth of time within 6 weeks. Thanks for the input, lots of help in my final decisions in doing it.
Did you try it?
I did. I had some bad speech and poor cognitive skills prior to it and it helped considerably. Others noticed changes after 10 hrs of treatment. It was costly but worth it.
@@IowaGoodGuy thanks for sharing so after 10 hours you had improvements? Have heard and read those with TBI may or may not respond.
@@IowaGoodGuy how many hours did you do?
I did 40 hours total. 2 hrs per day. I went in thinking it wasnt going to help but it did. I do think i can concentrate better and memory has improved
How about Hyperbarics used for long term memory issues in general?
My 20 yr son is doing this now.. this is his 9th treatment at 90mins per session.. seems to be helping with some sensation back to his right had after multiple strokes in his cerebellum April 16,2021 8 months ago that left him paralyzed to his right side .. Will keep updated, he still needs 12 more sessions..
How is it going?
Are you still using this how’s it going?
Update please
You missed all the research the Navy has done.
Do you think a treatment like this might help somebody with Bell's palsy?
Thanks for your review.
I've been in a soft mild HBOT session and felt it greatly improved my clarity.
Dr. you should try one before reporting on it . I can't see HBOT would ever be a bad idea regarding health. Chances of a fire is so low, and not really a concern. I have epilepsy and feel a bigger desire to own one.
Used alot in Texas
My brother has also experienced global hypoxic brain injuury....
Its been a month now
Only he can open his eyes but limited look around movement..
He can move his lips a little..
And he also yawns
Its been a week he is breathing on his own initially was put on a ventilator
I want to know about his future
What studies are you talking about- what about all the studies over seas that were done way before the US ever began doing studies. And what about the studies on Covid patients that the used HBOT and shows it helped them. I think the pharmaceutical companies don’t want HBOT around as a treatment because they could loose money if it works better than medications.
Big Pharma which is how our US medical system functions and focuses on shuns anything that is not a pill, capsule, spray or gel. They don't support proven treatments like HBOT, Infrared light therapy, sauna or steam, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, vitamins & minerals, healthy food and intermittent fasting because they don't make money with it. The same happened with treating Covid with Ivermectin & Hydroxychloriquine. It would have interfered with their emergency authorization of their toxic shots. It's wrong and it's criminal.
I think that H.B.O.T is good, but it cant cure/solve everything can it?
What do you say about methalene blue? What trustworthy impacts of unpressurized oxygen from an oxygen device?
does it help Strokes?
Similar consecuences.
You lost your credibility with me when you said that a Glasgow coma score of 0 was possible. Three is the lowest score possible even if you are dead.
Deanne Long EXACTLY all the videos i seen all said a 0 is never a score smh making me lose hope on a loved one that’s going through this right now!!!
I realize it's quite off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
@Ahmad Ronald i watch on Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Dario Russell definitely, I've been using flixzone for since april myself :)
@Dario Russell Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it!!
Your already biased against.
