Love listening to the old fellas talking. They have a way of telling a story that makes you hang on every word......I must admit I'm an old fella myself at 74 but I think you know what I mean. Great video again mate. Love the old 30-30. With all the fancy gear these days, it's great to see them in action.....Cheers.
Perfect timing Stu, Just as I’m all packed to head into central NSW to chase pigs, Vic Govt throws us into lockdown. Thanks for the video it lifts the spirits of all locked down hunters
Hi Stu ☺ Another great video, nice boar mate, water level,on the bilabong looked a bit low?, good to see your dad again, always a good yarn going, thanks for your time and efforts mate, looking forward to the next one, stay safe, best wishe's to you all, Stuart.uk.
That White Boar was a ripper Stu! Your old man had me cracking up.😅 Telling his story, getting excited like a teenager. Hope I'm like him at that age. Great work as always mate.👍
I'll ask again, where's the beef!? With all that grass there's got to be some cows around, but I've never seen a cow in a Stu video, I guess you aussies don't eat beef? Personally I don't eat beef, cause I've worked on a cattle ranch, but here in Oregon there's cows everywhere there's grass it seems.
Great vid bloke You should get your dad to show you how to shoot rabbits. I bet he can still plug a feed of bunnies in no time. I shot a rabbit once Thanks for sharing Love our work
Hey mate, awesome videos , what we do is have a pool foam noodle cut around the edge of the rim on the kayak then the paddle and rifle dont make any sound when putting it down to shoot etc, then just burn a small grove into the noodle once fitted to rest the rifle and paddles into , works well for us
Good vid Stu...BTW: Found myself getting caught up in the tension and anticipation of the hunt / stalk lol - What a cool and very likable bloke that old timer was 👍👍👍
@@HuntingwithStu Oh sorry Stu, I didn't pick up on that (poor listening skills i guess lol) ... Anyway your dad is a cool old school Aussie...We desperately need more of them !!!!
@@HuntingwithStu I'm still not giving up on shooting a Hog for you Mate and putting it on my Channel. Take care brother. Like to see you cook up some hog and eat .
Hi Stu, congratulations on this very neat boar. Very nice tusks. The noises made by the two sows sounded, as if the boar wanted to make love, but the female obviously didn't want to. Now both of them are dead, poor pigs. ;--)) Greadings from the german pig hunter (GPH).
@@HuntingwithStu yeh bloody cold as but we got heaps of gopro footage so going to have a vid sorted soon as it was an epic trip with my young fella 👌👌 Stay safe budd 🤙
you ending up using the meat off these pigs? seems like a bit of a waste to just shoot and leave them, especially when you have a kayak to ferry them back home.
We are actually there to thin out numbers as they are a pest in this area. They also carry liptoserosis which is not good for humans. Within a week the carcasses are eaten by other pigs, foxes, cats, goannas, eagles etc.
@@HuntingwithStu Hey, but technically aren't you worsening the problem by leaving the carcasses in the field? By leaving carcasses in the field, you increase the rate of disease transmission within the remaining population, and you feed a whole bunch of invasive predators, such as pigs and foxes, which are arguably even bigger pests than wild pigs. What I would do is recover all the carcasses, but burn the first few for a couple months of hunting (maybe longer). You'll notice the the disease rate will rapidly decrease, and you'll probably have less foxes and cats around as well. and after that "scorching" period, they pigs should be of better eating.
The diseases is in very few numbers but enough not to risk it. We shoot over 100 pigs across approx 30km from one end of the thick bush to the other. Out of the question to somehow bring them all together for a burnoff. We are there only for a few days so we would well and truly run outta time if we were to recover every shot pig.
Yes mate you can kill the biggest boar with a 22. Headshot is the go. Side on right in the butt of the ear. Front on between the eyes but up on the forehead slightly.
I hope there's a part 2 because I want to hear the end of his story.
I want to hear the the end of his story too.
I couldn’t understand but about 2 words that old man was sayin. I only speak American.
Always run into a old bloke like that when out bush
@VortexModz I need a translator.
I love how your old mans tells his stories😂
Best free hand shot on RUclips Stu, the double tap looks good as you don't want him chasing you up a tree...Stay safe.

Hi mate yes it was an interesting hunt.
Good to see your old man still getting amongst it!
Yes it is good hey
Hi Stu, total novice here looking to get started. Stupid question what do you do with the pigs when they are killed? do you just leave them there.
Yes we leave em mate as we are there to thin out numbers on this property
OK, who else ducked at 1:55 to avoid the branches?
LOL viewer interaction
Taking big boars with a lever action, life doesn't get much better. 🇦🇺👍🏻

excellent your videos! and what a beautiful place! greetings from Argentina as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
If you were close, could you ethically kill a pig with a .22 mate? Assuming is so it would have to be headshot?
Yes mate you can kill the biggest boar with a 22. Headshot is the go. Side on right in the butt of the ear. Front on between the eyes but up on the forehead slightly.
@@HuntingwithStu why’s it have to be side on the right?
@@HuntingwithStu and what’s maximum distance you’d shoot with a .22?
I mean right in the butt of the ear not the right ear. Left or right ear. No more than 50m with the 22.
Thanks again Stu again I felt I was there backing you up Mate.
30/30 unreal thanks heaps
Glad you enjoyed it mate
Which company makes that land kayak you were using? 🏃🏻♂️
It is an old white water kayak from Australis called a Bass kayak

Yes mate Winchester Model 94

Good video mate
Thanks 👍
Is it possible to get an ar, would be much more effective at taking out more pigs.
That would be better but our gun laws won't allow a rec shooter like me to own one.
