I was at the race when Kenny lost his life. I was very young and the accident happened right in front of myself and uncle. Never forgotten.

such a tragic day. Great to see Darren Dixon (one of the most versatile racers ever) mixing it up with the RG but not a Grand Prix bike as described by Murray. RG500 was a Padgett's F1 bike. Thanks for posting

I knew Andy Mac reasonably well.
But I didn't know he rode the Norton rotary. Ya live & learn.

Mark Phillips has a bike shop near me. Unfortunately he had a bad accident some years ago, but really nice chap.

Why are they racing on a cycle track? Good job modern tracks are safer and wider. RIP Kenny.

Cadwell Park is still the same and still used in the British Championship. One of my favourites to watch them go round.

Stand near Charlies 2 and you can see more of the circuit than anywhere else around the track.Take your binoculars so you can check out racers going through some of the Mountain section way down in the distance.
Lots of hot spots to view around the track.
I also witnessed a death there in 2011,a very sad day, nothing to do with the track, but a racing accident that can and does happen on any track.

Full GP bike and he wins !? Not a great shock, should have been a lap ahead.

Dixon's bike was was built from the Suzuki RG 500 Gamma road bike as all F1 TT bikes had to be built from road bikes to comply with the rules so not a full GP bike as you claim
