Ben is by far the best teacher on here... You may have to adjust what your used to, to do as he says, but do it, because he's right... My playing has improved massively from taking his advice. How you don't have 1m subs is beyond me,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts my thumb up there, I can't put it anywhere else and grip, and everyone says it's wrong but It's the only way I can do it, and I use it to mute strings I don't need

Hey ben, any advice on getting my left hand faster while still feeling relaxed and controlled? If I practice legato 16ths over 160bpm my left hand seems to stiffen up, I think this is whats really holding me back from getting faster overall
Hi Arpest, it sounds like a stamina issue which I'll be covering later this series!
My dog may have mauled my left hand and therefore my homework.

i wish u guys would stop useing distortion when teaching
@Zaek25 i dont know why but its seems silly and annoying when its on when one is giving a lesson
@@joblo3940 Practicing with some distortion is actually more beneficial than a clean tone. You need to learn how to mute properly and you'll hear many more nuanced string clunks and whatnot with a little gain.
