Hi. Kelvin, I made a Korean recipe with chicken wings. call honey butter chicken wings. The chef cook the chicken twice, to get the cruch of the chicken wings. you have to cook this twice. and season the wings. the sauce is easy to make, sugar, soy sauce, fresh garlic, cropped, red pepper flakes for some heat, and a half of stick if butter. sauté in a skillet, till it thickens and the wings toss. serve with rice. I made this recipe twice 😊
My sister and I went shopping 🛒 at Walmart and I bought this. I cleaned it, and season 4 chicken drum sticks, and flour them. came out really good, and I made sweet potatoes fries. and season corn on the cob,, I ordered a air fryer beginners cook book from Amazon last week and a other one xl power air fryer cook book that's coming Friday. 😊. the reason why is my doctor wants me to lower my cholesterol level . I having surgery done on my right knee. hopefully in February of 2004, 😊
bought one myself, the only problem I have with it is what I consider "false advertising". I bought it because it said 5 quart, which I expected to be the size of the basket....it's not, it's the size of the whole air fryer. In fact, all the air fryers I looked at were like that . IMO they should state the size of the basket, so you can get a good idea of how much you can cook in them., as to wings, I don't go by the recipe that comes in the booklet that is with the air fryery I use this version dry the wings well, then salt and pepper on both sides 360 degrees for 12 minutes flip wings 360 degrees for 12 minutes again flip wings once more up temperature to 390 degrees for 8 minutes to crisp them then toss in your favorite sauce, let sit for a few minutes, and enjoy if you put the sauce on them first, the sauce tends to overcook. then again, I usually use an Asian sweet and spicy sauce, which has a good bit of sugar, and it carmalizes too much. They're still pretty good if you do them with the sauce on first,. but I find them to be more juicy, and better to cook them first then put the sauce on
You are a chicken wing connoisseur it seems. You boss that Wing up like a champ. Many people I see play over chicken wings. They make me want to fight! You had me chilling because you love the wings! ✔️✔️✔️👍💯
They should recall all air fryers or at least let you know not to use it on our counters because they get very HOT. Our brand new quartz counter top exploded on the first use of the PowerXL. We now use it in a thick cookie sheet on top of the stove which they don't recommend. Maybe it's for out door use only?
I love my Power XL Air Fryer and use it every day. After a month I noticed the bottom tray non stick started to peal off.. it's now on bare metal, but after I cook stuff I noticed the oil and juices in the bottom tray are black and not from the non-stick. Its almost like the metal itself is breaking down. If this is just steel like my cast iron does, I'm not worried about it.. but it's led or aluminum and getting in my food I think this is health hazard.
Yea I would look into getting that replaced / buying a new one / if you use the current one still cook the food on aluminum foil. I try to always cook mine or foil that way I don't have to clean the entire basket every time.
Curious did you try french fries? I was wondering if they actually would turn out crispy or not? I generally don’t fry anything because I don’t like the grease but I do like homemade fries.
LadyLakeMusic - I actually just tried it tonight for the first time - I’ll have to do a review video of it but I think they turned out well - my parents also approve 😋 The recipe I used was 2 potatoes - sliced mixed with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and salt and black pepper - the recipe called for a boat load of salt so I used less - ball parked it of course and then in the air fryer for 400 degrees 18 minutes flipping occasionally through the time.
Hey Thomas - I haven't tried frozen wings yet but I'm sure you can! I would recommend googling air fry frozen wings and it should give you instructions etc!
@@abelg66 for frozen i did 15 minutes on 400°, When it beeps, toss them around, and placed them back in for 10 minutes and perfect!! If you like extra cripsy add another 5 minutes, they come out AMAZING!
IMO - I'd say that it definitely is sufficient for at least 2 people - I guess it depends on what you make. I mean I made close to 30 wings with 2 batches so that would be like 7 wings per person.
Definitely need to boil the wings first, leave them in a rack to drip free of fat, pat them dry then roast. They go really crispy without all the fatty bits. Less grease in the frier and healthier.
@@robbyrocks3665 just the way I like them personally. I don't like the jelly and cartilage in wings. Boiling them breaks all that down and draws it out. Air fry them long enough and they come out like chicken jerky. Give it a go.
6 you flying too quick with your videos bro you stay very little and paint too much stuff on the video I hate to read people don't like reading they like do they listen to a voice telling them how to do it and then it makes your videos much better when you're slower too cuz you're too quick just cuz you know how to use it doesn't mean your viewers know how to use it so take it slow like teaching a child slowly

Hey Slot Hustler - you're welcome! Yea air frying is pretty fun and tasty too!
Not really long unless you are cooking like 3 or 4 things separately.

WHAT! that's crazy - I use it on my marble counter all the time and it's worked out well.
So when I cook the chicken wings do I need flower
I'd say you could use flour for the wings but every time I've just air fried the wings by itself!
Do u suppose to use the tray or just the basket
Hey Christy - Place the tray in the basket and then slide the basket in the air fryer.
@@KelvinK ok thanks yea i put some chiken wings in the air fryer turned out perfect

The pre filled spray oil bottles like will cause it to peel.

How much bbq and red hot sauce ?
Hey Melissa! I just eye ball it, if you like wings more saucy then add plenty!

Yes!!! I've made them hundreds of times. Leave it in longer for extra crispy to your own taste.
Can you use frozen wings?

What about frozen? I literally just got a Power XL this week. So excited!!
how'd it go frozen, same temp & time?
@@abelg66 for frozen i did 15 minutes on 400°, When it beeps, toss them around, and placed them back in for 10 minutes and perfect!! If you like extra cripsy add another 5 minutes, they come out AMAZING!
Do you press chicken wings or defrost for frozen wings? 😁
Is 5QT big enough for 2-4 ppl?
IMO - I'd say that it definitely is sufficient for at least 2 people - I guess it depends on what you make. I mean I made close to 30 wings with 2 batches so that would be like 7 wings per person.

No way! Then you add way more time, and defeat the purpose. His wings weren't oily. Boiling first is just a waste of energy

Just got the power xl 7-qt for 35 at Walmart
Hey Ariel - sounds like a great deal - enjoy air frying!
Shouldn’t use metal tongs.😊
A tad too crispy? No way, they were just right. Listen to your Mom.
Haha!
Great video. Then you started eating.
Add another k to kk you well be soo cool 🤩
I do not recommend this product. Im getting different brand ta have to many flaws
zero seasoning…
