It's just surreal to me that this movie even exists, let alone that it was executed so well. So much of this could have gone so wrong - just take Tobey and Andrew, for example. They could have just shown up to wink at the camera, say a few references and fight the villains. We never *had* to get them with actual character arcs (especially for Andrew getting closure on both Gwen's death and Electro) or things like the conversation between them before the final battle. This felt like a love letter to the entire 20 years of Spider-Man movies while still being a pretty great movie on its own, and by the time all three of them hug each other, it's basically Tobey and Andrew passing the torch to Tom. I love it.
Easily one of the top 5 movies in the MCU; not perfect from a narrative perspective, but for what it did for Spiderman as a character, as an icon, and giving a satisfying ending to three franchises? This was possibly as groundbreaking as the first Avengers movie
I wouldnt say 3 franchises cus technically one isnt ended yet, and the other 2 are both in a Spiderman/Sony franchise. So the Best way to say it would be a satisfying end to 2 trilogies and a duology. Even tho we might be getting real ends to the duology and the OG trilogy 😏
I'm just so impressed by how many pay offs they managed to cram in there, especially in the third act. I considered listing them but after reaching the first 10 and realizing I wasn't even halfway there I think that says it all really. And it does it without the pay offs being forced or feel out of place if the other Spiderman films didn't exist too, maybe you could say it's a little convenient which of the Spidermen cures each character or is in the right place at the right time. But that just puts this idea that it was fated to happen, that the universe decided that these characters deserved their redemption, that they have been earned.
I will never forget this moment in cinema. Me and my younger brother are from Sydney, Australia. We saw the film at a cinema called the Hayden Orpheum and the rules there are different like audiences are not allowed to cheer, scream, laugh or clap loudly because if someone does you will be told to keep quiet or you will be asked to leave but you can giggle during the movie. When me and my brother saw that scene everyone was cheering and clapping loudly and we had to join. It was nothing me and my brother had ever seen and thank god we got to see this awesome movie.

@@OpeningNightReactions I really enjoyed the video, only thing that I didn't was that you didn't show the final fight between peter and norman, I assume it was a copyright issue
I've seen the movie multiple times, but having Aunt May dying always puts a lump in my throat. Also having Andrew Garfield's Spider-man save MJ is a very emotional scene, anyone who has lost a love of their life knows that feeling. One deleted scene I wish they had left in was when Garfield's Spider-man tells Tom Holland's Peter that you know where too find us if you need us. I'd love to see the three brothers meet up again in the future. The three actors have nothing but praise for one another, and if the storyline is good, lure them back into the MCU. But overall, seeing Toby McGuire, the Spider-man I grew up with, back in the webs brought back great memories.
Aunt May had to have died to have this Spider Man Hear the line that Uncle Ben has said to the other Peters. Unlike this world, the other two Spider-Man had to go through pain and loss to mature, so I’m glad they finally got this spider man to also understand how losing a loved one feels, sure losing Tony was devastating but he wasn’t the closest, Aunt May was.
I’ve never seen Garfield’s Spiderman films so him saying earlier that he lost Gwen was all I knew about that. But he’s such a good actor, that that moment when he saved MJ made me tear up in a split second. And somehow his Spidey stole the show in this film. Would really really love to see them team up again. But if they deleted that scene, I guess chances aren’t too good
The experience of seeing all this in the cinema was so surreal. One of the best cinema experiences of my entire life and it brought to life all the things I wanted to see for a long time and it was easily my favourite movie of 2021 and one of my top 3 MCU movies ever.
