He is not only a hall of fame player but has been a great ambassador for the game of hockey and one of the faces of the NHL since coming into the league. It seems not too long ago that Sid reaching 1,000 games was not a sure thing. Glad he was able to come back and continue his hall of fame career. I was at the game when Sid and Ovi both scored hat tricks in the playoffs. It was crazy being there and witnessing those guys have a game like that. The best thing about both of them (Ovi and Sid) are that they are not only great on the ice but also great off. I also agree with your comment that we are blessed to watch these guys play. I hope they play many more years with their current teams. I definitely don't want to see either of them leave their current teams. It just wouldn't be right. Cheers to you. I seriously dont get the masks....aren’t they all screened prior to every games, just like international soccer? And yet, they are apprehensive to touch each other, hesitantly fist bumping whereas they were grinding, touching, etc, all over each other after the game? 🤣

  • @lannon4prez
    @lannon4prez 3 года назад

    I don’t understand the masks... they are all using the same locker room, they ceebrate goals and wins with hugs... at some point it basically just becomes a commercial to normalise nonsensical behavior.

    I read something recently that said if Sid never got injured as bad as he did, we would put him on the same level as guys like Tom brady, Michael Jordan..Goat talks basically.. & at 1st i thought that was such a reach, but seeing the shape he's still in & knowing he lost playing time in his prime; i can't be upset with that take.

    Greatest player I've ever seen play. (I never saw Gretzky, Orr, or Lemieux in their prime.) Best of his generation and one of the 10 best players who has ever played.
    Congratulations on the milestone. Considering the injuries this guy went through, playing 1,000 games was hard fought and well earned.

    Truly a phenomenal player, he pushed the boundaries of the game, motivating countless people to improve their craft. He showed us what hard work, resilience, and passion can do and he's still going strong. You could make an entire all-star team with the top level young players who looked up to him. I say this as a lifelong Flyers fan lol
