The only person between the two of you presenting any kind of pretense is you, in your apparent need to shit on anyone attempting to be sincere. The image of the mask with all the people on it is showing what the mask is protecting - it's a simple concept to recognize when watching the video. If someone mentioning that they see that in it - and that they thought it was artful - brings you somehow to images of cock-sucking and hipsters, you might want to take a step away for a bit and examine the impulses behind your instincts or ask yourself why you feel the need to personally insult people in a thread about a song. Step outside. Breathe in some air. The sun's out.

I saw Jeff Garland. One for the history books. It’s been a day or two since we talked, only briefly before your solo show at the Lounge Axe via Chicago around 97’. I chased that great J-45 sound for decades. Turns out, I’m more of a J-35 kind of guy. Along with OO’s in all their various forms. Between Tony Klassen and your inspiration, I scratched many an itch. Thanks for all the music and the masterpiece that was Summerteeth.
