Nice one Jason. The severn was looking serene there. Just the kind of relaxation that lasts a good few days. Nice burger there - you had the dining room to yourself. Lovely. Mark
Cheers Mark. I've recently discovered a new found love for being on the river. So peaceful; I love it. I hope the book and website are going well. Thanks again Mark. Atb, J 👍.

Cheers mate . Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciated. Yeah, your right about the raft. I need to buy a skeg for it really. It's supposed to make quite a difference to how it moves in the water. Take care. Atb, J 👍.
That was a proper burger Jason 👍. Looked a lovely trip very peaceful and relaxing. The pack raft us doing a great job. Sure it's going to see some great adventures. I was on the river in the canoe yesterday coaching a friend on some rapids. Was a good morning. Definitely going to get a good few canoe adventures done myself this year 🙂. Cheers Rick 👍. It was a fantastic day on the river. Just wish I'd tried it sooner in life but eh! better late than never. Really looking forward to getting out on an overnighter with it and start using it as for what it was designed for. I bet you've got some cracking trips planned. I'll look forward to watching them mate. Take care and have a great weekend. Atb, J 👍.
Holy smokes...that was a beast of a burger😎 yesss pleasseee ha ha, that looked lovely sir. Well Jason I honestly cant think of anything better than doing what you did there, 14 miles paddling down the river on a sunny day with a cunning plan of feasting on the whopper burger and sitting back and cruising along with the current! Great to see you out, nice to see that section of the world, cheers bud.
Thank you so much Chris 👍. I can't recommend it highly enough mate. I reckon you'd really enjoy it. It's so relaxing and peaceful on the river. Not to mention the opportunities to discover and camp in less accessible locations. Love it. Hope that you have a great bank holiday weekend mate. Atb, J 👍.
@@SandybackOutdoors Cheers mate, suns shining here for the weekend. I have an inflatable kayak I've never used, cant remember the name, maybe a k7 or something, will try to get out in it soonish, maybe a cheeky triple bacon cheese burger! have a good one, cheers chris.

Thank you my friend 🙏. The packraft is an Anfibio MX Delta. Anfibio is a German company and have their packrafts made in China. I can verify that the quality control and materials used for these packrafts is superb 👍.
@@SandybackOutdoors thank you friend 🤝 Interesting and light craft. I mainly use an inflatable kayak for multi-day rafting. It is faster and fits more things. But for light hikes, such a packraft is much better. p.s. Sorry for my english😁 I use google translator
@@Buhlosplav39 Google translator works great my friend 👍. I was packrafting for two days earlier this week in the English Lake District with beautiful mountain views 😍. Hey Dene, I hope that you are keeping well mate 👍 Yeah, I like my meat for sure although I do eat some vegetarian products from time to time. Maybe I should do a complete vegetarian camp in the future. Many thanks as always for stopping by and commenting buddy. Cheers J 🍻
Parts of my old stomping grounds there with Bridgnorth and Bewdley. The former of the two was usually our gateway into Mid Wales for our excursions and caravan holidays. There weren't so many bridges back then across the Severn and both locations could be bottlenecks especially on Sunday evenings and Bank Holidays. Looked like a great trip, did you use the Severn Valley Railway to get back or is that closed due to the current situation? Did someone come park their backsides near to you at the lunch spot or is the water playing tricks on my ears as I thought that I heard folk talking in the background and it is typical for folk to come sit right next to your beauty spot of solitude and spoil it. 🤦♂️
Hi Robert. I can remember being sat in traffic as a kid heading towards Bewdley. It would often start to back up shortly after Kidderminster with folk queuing up for the Safari Park. Had a lot of caravan holidays near Upper Arley from the age of 5. It's basically where my love for the outdoors began. Spending time in the Wyre Forest and fishing on the banks of the Severn. Happy days. Unfortunately the Severn Valley railway doesn't reopen until the 12th, or I would of jumped on it to return to Bridgnorth. Got the bus back on this occasion. The weather was great the day I did this, so as you can imagine there were quite a lot of walkers out. It almost felt like a normal day, lol. Looking forward to seeing you out again soon. Take care my friend. Atvb, J 👍.
@@SandybackOutdoors I'm well out of touch Mate, it was all Midland Red Buzzes back in my day, Double Deckers from K'Ford to Wolvo. 😉 I think the return BUZZ would go Wolvo, K'Ford, Stourbridge and finish in Kiddy.
What an awesome way to spend the day 👍( I'm a poet and I dont know it 😂) . That burger looked like it'd do the trick.Packrafting looks cool mate, a bit iffy getting in or out 🤔 . Might invest in one at some point, any recomendations ? Anyway enjoyed that ,hope you're all good 👍
Hey Mark, thanks for checking this one out mate. I just love the packraft, it's really great fun. Reasonably lightweight and quite compact too. They can be extremely expensive for the top brands. Mine is what I would consider to be a mid range brand and I can only talk about my experiences with that brand. I'd definitely recommend the Anfibio brand. Excellent build quality and extremely durable but it's still going to cost you the best part of £700 to get fully kitted out (packraft, pfd, paddle and some extra dry bags and rigging for the raft). Still a lot cheaper than a decent canoe and besides you can hike into places with the packraft that you can't access with a canoe. Getting in and out takes a little bit of practice but you'd pick it up in no time at all. It definitely adds a different dimension to your adventures buddy. If you need anymore info, don't hesitate to ask mate. Many thanks, as always Mark. Take care and atb, J 👍.
