You put up a great video, in my experience public transit in a dense metro city can kind of help (people will still drive cars and thus add to traffic) but in suburban areas it just really sucks to wait around for public transit (and it doesnt help with transporting groceries)

Connecting 2 high traffic roads is, of course, a stupid idea, would be better to connect it to a lower traffic road
