Because I was born in 2008, the 2010s era of Cartoon Network is the one I remember the most. And even though people's opinions on it are generally polarized, I've always had a real soft spot for it because that's what I have grown up on. The 2000's era is also a close second because a lot of shows from that era were still regularly running on TV when I was little. My absolute favorite shows from the 2010 era were MAD, the first season of Gumball, clarence, Uncle grandpa, and regular show when I was younger, with MAD and Uncle Grandpa being the ones I watched the most.

Dude, I was born in 2000. It was a bit better during my time than yours because everything during your time was live action shows. Sure, some were good, like "Destroy, Build, Destroy," but most weren't interesting. I came to cartoon network for CARTOONS! (And a little bit of anime, too...)

My ideas for Cartoon Network eras would be
    Cartoon Cartoons Era: 1996-2003
The Dark Age?(Maybe Bronze or Silver?): 2004-2009 (I know Cartoon Network was still doing very well in 2004 and 2005)
The Renaissance Era: 2010-2017 (Kind of using OK K.O. Let’s Be heroes and Craig of the Creek as reference points)

  • @BinglesP
    @BinglesP 3 месяца назад +9

    My favorites:
    1. Ed Edd n' Eddy
I have a multimedia AU fanseries for it, that's how much I love it. I still find the Ed Trio relatable and very endearing. The complexity and nuances in the small cast is refreshing and really fun to write, draw, and discuss about. My AU fanseries adds some Y2K/Frutiger-aesthetic-inspired science fiction aspects to it, and I hope that it can go far in terms of quality and companionship to the official works as well as it can. It's not for everyone, but I'm having fun making it.
    2. Problem Solverz
I am being 100% serious. I will never regret analyzing and watching the show past its art style, as it her to me appreciating the show in many different ways that most who know about it completely disregard. I also have fanwork about this one, mainly fan art and RUclips Poops much like the Eds. The show has a genuinely good sense of humor, and its concepts are really interesting, and have inspirations from all kinds of folklore and mythology, from Egyptian/Mayan/European/etc. myth to science fiction concepts. I recommend giving it a chance, especially Season 2 with its noticeably-easier-on-the-eyes art style that even includes things most of these don't, like shading and lighting, and isometric 3D geometry. As of typing this comment, my profile picture is my own fan art redesign of Alfe(one member of the titular trio) that I currently have available to view in full on my DeviantArt page alongside other redesigns of characters from the show, if you're interested.
    3. Dexter's Laboratory
I grew up with this one, thanks to Boomerang. I've attempted to make fanwork of it too, but I couldn't because the show is just that good and solid, that I can't really add much to what's not already there. Fun fact/unpopular opinion of mine: I actually significantly prefer Candi Milo's performance as Dexter in seasons 3 and 4(and other media such as bumpers and licensed video games) than his original voice by Cristine Cavanaugh.
Others include all of the original Cartoon Cartoons(including the ones that didn't really take off), Chowder, Flapjack, Foster's Home, and Gumball.

i feel like the modern era is definitely the most forgotten mostly because every cartoon is just run over by reruns and teen titans go (i dont hate ttg but its over saturated)
i think the the most forgotton era of cartoon network really is the modern era, after the bronze era huge success with shows like adventure time, regular show, steven universe, ttg, and tawog. But there are many hidden gems.
Craig of the creek is one of those shows I'm really surprised hasn't gained much popularity, the adventures made me feel like i did back when i was a kid. The mysterious air of the creek and the imaginative adventures Craig Kelsey and Jp go on really captures that child like wonder. the show is so well written and the verse is honestly pretty cool im shocked its not on the same level as a show like Steven universe, I know that's a bit of a stretch but this show can capture and audience both young and old (ok not old but like most genz). I have a lot of good things to say aboout this show i must admit and maybe im biased because me and my little sister would watch the episodes when they came out, but its a very good show and its quite comforting.

Oh god I miss seeing that animation during Cartoon Networks commercial breaks I almost forgotten about it. Saying as I go along I enjoy Cartoon Network quite a bit as I grown around it. I will speak of the show's I know or heard about.
    Space Ghost no thank ya.
Dexter, never watched but I do seen the Christmas episode, and seeing him and DeeDee made me think of Johnny and and his sisters relationship (we will talk about that when we get to it.)
Johnny Bravo, another Christmas Episode thing but I seen more then just that. I kinda grown out of it but I remember liking it.
I Am Weasel another Christmas Episode.
Powerpuff Girls watch that show fondly growing up. I have to say if they are real I probably go out with either of them when there of legal age.
Ed Edd Eddy another show I grown out of. I did watch the movie, and remember some parts fondly. I hate Ed's sister though.
Courage another show I remember fondly, and watch it to this day. Love the Kibg Ramses episode, and want to try the Scooby Doo Crossover at some point.
Samurai Jack my father is fond of this show but I never get into it. Still remember Samoorai.
It's Billy and Mandy for the Grim part, and I often watch movies from that show for the Holidays. Almost never seen the show though. Enjoyed the PS2 game myself.
KND a show I am studying right now as a matter of fact. I didn't get into it though I am fond of Operation Z.E.R.O., and managed to study it thanks to a site. It's enjoyable, and am personally fond of Abigal/Numbuh 5, and Numbuh 3/Kuki. Shame it's sequel never came as Cartoon Network refused Mr. Warburton to do one despite it being possibly the best show in Cartoon Network's history.
Evil Con never seen and never will.
Star Wars wait that was where there from? I am fons of them, and still watch them to this day. There are lots of fans who are pissed that Order 66 where the clones follow without question is retconned to Inhibitor Chips which I don't understand as with the Clones befriending the Jedi, Order 66 would've failed.
Teen Titans never seen much but I am fond of it's theme song.
Foster's Home, another show I grown out of. I still remember it but I never express an interest watching it again.
The Batman only watched some things but I remember Batman vs Dracula fondly.
Camp Lazlo another Christmas episode situation, and barely remember anything else with them.
Gym Partner's a Monkey seen a few things but probably won't be back into it.
Ben 10 another show I am studying and probably the show that is in my top 5 shows here. I remember having Toy Omnitrixs growing up, and glad to be back onto it.
Robotboy another Camp Lazlo like scenario.
Squirralboy think I heard of this one but never watched it.
Class of 3000 same as above but I recognize the teacher.
Chowder another one od the top 5s. I think this was the show that got me into cooking in the first place, and I watch them fondly and still do thanks to Hulu.
Alien Force seen less but plan to study it.
Flapjack probably 4th in my opinion. Another Hulu example and I think it's a good show, as it has some funny moments with a clever mix of CGI, stop motion or artwork.
    Secret Saturday's, Camp Lazo example.
Chop Slockey Chooks watched one episode and never went back.
Brave and the Bold had watched some episodes but just stopped watching. Not boring but not appealing enough.
Ultimate Alien same as Alien Force.
Rex I think it's decent but not my taste.
Robotomy only watched one episode, and tried to get back onto it if possible.
Hero 108, love this one but be at 5th place. Mostly cause aftee Twin Master's defeat we never seen Highroller get defeated for good.
Adventure Time oh probably 2nd for me. I remember this one quite a bit, and very fond of Card Wars. Surprised it kept for a long time, and never gets old where Jake gets to be a dad. Although I wish Finn and Flame Princess are still together.
Regular Show a show I am fond of but not number 1. I remember watching the Thanksgiving Special when Thanksgiving comes around but I wish Benson would just cool it.
Mystery Incorporated. Prefer the movies, and even the Live Action one but I like this one too.
MAD basically Cartoon Network's version of Adult Swim's Robot Chicken. Decent but too weird for my tastes. Fond of some animations under Mike if that's the right name.
Young Justice watched this but not big on it. Okay show.
Problem Solvers a show I think deserves a second chance. Suppose to be a Adult Swim show but the colors and art made it Cartoon Network and I like the one about the Tomb of Nefirititi.
    Secret Mountain nope.
Gumball. Number 1, I like it that much. Has a cult following, and I really like this one with same as Flapjack on clever animation styles but at the same time rather then in scene cuts. Hope it gets a sequel soon.
Looney Tunes show, same as aome others no feelings. Decent but not big.
Omniverse another thing I will study with the other things.
    Green Lantern no thanks.
Uncle Grandpa singlehandedly the worst Cartoon Network show in my opinion which sucks as I thought it was decent at first.
Steven Universe interested in this one but never seen an episode.
Teen Titans Go despite it being well received it's one of the shows people disliked for numerous reasons. Which is why unless I am interested I won't touch it.
Clarence a show that's meh to me.
Tom and Jerry show, it's Tom and Jerry must I say more?
    We Bare Bears, meh.
Powerpuff Girls reboot I'd give it a watch.
Mighty Magiswords don't know why they need all those blades.
Ben 10 reboot, Ben 10 doesn't need a reboot old version's better. I try it but unlikely.
    Let's be heroes, meh.
    Craig of the Creek, meh.
    Unikitty, prefer Lego Movie better.
    Future, probably worth a try.
    We Baby Bears, meh.
