Not just the last bar, but all the fuel for pitch control. Engine should be used only in emergency situations. A so upgraded plane that he played at the end should go easily 2000m with every single bar of fuel.

I think the highest I've seen my classmates get was 222 meters in Paris. We focused on exterior upgrades rather than speed ones, most notably a blue biplane.
Watching this video made me remember the one time I got godly RNG and ended up going the full distance required to get to Santa on day 1. It kept going on so long that I had to actually FORCEFULLY make it end.

It's true, I used to live in Alaska. North pole is a 15 minute or so drive from fairbanks. They have a Santa's workshop, it has a giant Santa statue, reindeer, and everything. If I remember right it's open year round.

My elementary school straight up had a book on how to make paper airplanes of all shapes and sizes. There was a helicopter, a nighthawk, an f-15, there where darts and planes designed to do all kinds of tricks. Safe to say I never returned it. ;)

I miss Flash games and Newgrounds and kongregate. Was such good times to be online before Kong has nearly shut down entirely with their chats and forums gone, at least some things continued like Transformice...
So the engineering way to fly this plane is use up all the fuel as soon as possible and let it to fortune to find the targets for continuing the flight instead of keep the fuel for control and fly the plane wittingly to those targets which gives speed for free. Very clever.
