Did this track recently, markers stopped where they are, knee deep mud, trail probably more overgrown now (we did cut a bit of the track with a machete). Some parts gone due to tree felling and landslide and branches that some markers are on have rotten off. Really fun track. Dont attempt walking in the dark (trust me, I did), youre already likely to get lost in the day anyways
Got to hand it to you two, your sticking with it attitude. I have to wonder when is the last time anyone saw these views of waterfalls and the terrain in general? I say that based on what you said about the reality of it not looking very well traveled and by the video you share supporting that. Thanks.
Goodness me! Sam had certainly had a good brekkie! What a trouper she is! Shame that track isn’t maintained.Good on you both for the valiant effort though.🤗
@@JesseStLouis found some gnarly slicks and slides and an ancient native American village today in the least expected locations just in the hills below Yosemite. More exploration of the area needed. Some jerk left their fire smoldering right against a stack of dry timber. Used creek water to put the log out good enough I hope.
Last 2 clowns down that track would have been Dale and Perry in the 80's ... "Fiordlandomasochist", and still in the bush ... you ain't nowhere near there ... you are not a crazy tourist ... just a hard-to-find one ... 🙂
I notice you're now pronouncing 'route' the way we do... I wonder if when you eventually get home people will think you speak funny now?! Have you picked up many kiwi-isms, do you think?

One of the most beautiful natural places I’ve ever seen. Well filmed!
ROUGH hike wow// that was some thick forest.. too bad the last fall didnt totally pay off but glad you made it up there. thanks for taking us with you
It was nice to find that little falls and a good time seeing a rarely travelled area
Thanks Jesse. Fiordland really is a magical place.
It sure is!!

Loved it awesome video guys.
🙌🤙thanks!!
Beautiful scenery but it's wise to have a turnround time limit in unfamiliar territory. A simple hike down in bright light can turn scary in the dark.
Wow Jesse! How beautiful is that 😊😎☀️🌊❤
It was quite a find!
Hope you made it back out of there before dark. She's a goer.
oh yeah, she's great!
I don't think it was maintained after the 2019 floods. Was going to do this weekend but will do a different one. Thanks for the video.
I don't think it had been maintained since even before the floods

Yeah man it sure was a great experience to see that lesser travelled area

It was a bit more enjoyable than it may have appeared 🤣
Nice! Did you have to hike down in the dark ?
We made it out just before dark
@@JesseStLouis Good to hear.
In the dark!? Fiordland! No bloody way
My great-great uncle found this track 😊
Whoa, awesome! Have you ever done it?
@@JesseStLouis No never done it.
Hi Jesse, I didn't see Bali Indonesia. Have you ever visited there? Thanks
I've been but it was before I started making videos
Oh, no! Anyway, you always have a lot of fun hiking with sweet Sam. What happened in the end?
She ended up going to the trickle fall and I just sat and enjoyed the view. Made it back just before dark.
Back before getting dark was good!
Yes it was a personal victory 🤣🙌
be safe bro
🙌always my man, thanks

Wow people are so stupid sometimes. Good job!! Sounds like an amazing spot
@@JesseStLouis an absolute gem. I'm using satellite photos and history books of the area. Past forgotten local knowledge is priceless.

It's hard to get to that Kiwi level... maybe one day 😉🙌
You are aqua Jesse not bush Jesse lmao

Your wife is a champion. Treasure her.
I sure do!!
