Hope we could build on his work and actually, outsource such stuff to AI while keeping minimal amount of jobs for humans. Leading to a more meaningful work experience. One may wonder then, how/what would the rest of the humans then do? Redirect the redundant employees from these bullshit jobs into helping other employees find hobbies that they could spend decades doing. Or atleast keep their current hobbies in check. The system provides them with money through exercises or cycling or other bodily exhaustive tasks which lead to energy/electricity production (like in prisons). There was a whole episode on this in Black Mirror on Netflix. Where people are living in small cubicles. They "work" by producing electricity by cycling, like in prisons today, and they gather up points. Some people have higher points, some have lower. The higher your points, the higher your progression to a better square shaped cubicle. You even date people. It was a remarkable episode and the best thing about Black Mirror is that you do not have to have watched previous episodes to understand the current one. Each episode was around an hour or hour and a half long, where the story is built from ground up.
Being obsessed with measurable "success" destroys. Taking care of one's daily tasks would be sufficient and people more relaxed. I never umderstood how lots of people could accept such a lie. Hope for change.
We so sadly miss David Graeber's voice today. He left us way too soon, but there is still so much to learn from his essential search.

Egal wo man hinschaut...

Excellent production.
