I really appreciate getting new ideas for longer shorts, as that is what I wear - in fact, I am wearing a new pair of black jeans-style shorts that are a smooth 98%cotton and 2% stretch fabric right now that are almost identical to the ones you showed so this is very timely!
I really liked this options!! My sisters had a cirurgy in her leg and she had to wear loose shorts for confort. This ideas are wonderful for that. You've made the impossible possible: you've turned them into a wearable/good looking item!
For me, the reason the black shorts work at all is that they serve as a sub for a slim black skirt. They look great with the metallic T and the short denim jacket, and I like them with the pretty blouse. Otherwise, I think Bermuda shorts generally look dumpy. I'm petite, so perhaps that's the difference, and I like my legs so always choose shorter shorts.

What is wrong with being old? I am old and am so very sorry I offend you…I am someone’s neighbor …although I don’t know them…am I supposed to love them or is it up to them to love me? Other than being old and offensive I am kind…maybe the kindest thing I could do is euthanize myself? Again my very sincere apologies for living to be 72…I will pass this on to my mother who is 96…I am sure she will take this to heart and stop leaving her house…I know she doesn’t want to step into public looking old…I mean who would?
That is not at all what it's about. I love older people. In the video I talk about some things that age us because there are styles that make us look older no matter what our age. Just because we get older doesn't mean we have to dress like we are older. Sorry you decided to take it wrong.
