You are not by yourself! We're with you, and thanks for connecting with us today and continuing working to teach us and to give us inspiration to try something new. Stay safe.
My wife and I had our honeymoon in Thailand last June and it was awesome to say the least! Food was great and people were so nice! We both learned Thai phrases from you before we left and now we have your cookbook and made so many things out of it! We will be making this one too! Thanks so much.
I am supposed to be in Bangkok right now but could not due to the coronavirus. I decided to binge watch all the old HTK videos and surprisingly there's a new video. I'm so blessed.
When I was in Bangkok last month the GF took me to MK to eat to celebrate her birthday, my birthday coming up next month and her daughters birthday. I have to make your sauce and try. Next to the school my my GF's daughter goes to we would buy breakfast from an "auntie" and she had this sauce that she makes that was soooooo good. And seeing how you make your sauce reminded me of auntie's sauce. Store bought stuff doesn't compare. So that's why I want to make your sauce because I know yours will be really good.
Being home quaratined and thinking of something easy to cook yet nutricious, this suddenly popped in my notifications. And yes Im going to make this tommorrow.
"The only sad part is I'm by myself".... considering we're in the midst of a global pandemic I think a lot of people can identify with that sentiment right now! Stay safe and healthy everyone!
Omg!!! I’ve been looking up for years how to make MK hot pot everywhere on the Internet but I was never able to find one. Finally. I will try this recipe this weekend. Thank YOU so much!!!!!
Thank you Pailin! We tried it today, everyone loved it. You are right, sauce was the best. I love that the recipes are low calories and healthier. I am a fan from now on!
Hi pai! Because of your past suki yaki recipe. I’ve been making hot pot like this for awhile!! And I just wanted to say thank you because all my family and friends love it so much and always ask me!! Stay safe
You need to eat more on your videos. This is one of the first ones I was like wow!!! You made it look so good I want to go to the store and make this. I do love your videos.
Since I’m in Ontario and we’re still not allowed to dine in restaurants we decided to try Hot pot at home, I used your sauce recipe and my family loved it !!!! The most delicious and I actually made stir fry with the sauce the next day! Thank you for the amazing recipe ka อร่อยมากๆๆๆคะ
In addition the stuff you have I also like sliced corn on the cob, potato, tofu skin on my hot pot. But I always have my noodles near the end together with an egg to make a noodle soup egg drop fusion kind of soup
I love those fermented bean curd specially the spicy ones i put them in my rice as side dish while eating with any meat or fish dish specially fatty meat dish
i got so excited when i saw you were making this bc sukiyaki is one of my favorite foods! my mom says i should just move to Hokkaido since i love hot pot so much lol
OMG now i know how to make the awesome taste of MK hotspot sauce..Everytime i go Thailand the first restaurant i am looking is MK and wondering how this sauce make because it is so so good. Thanks for Sharing. I am one your avid follower❤️
Yay!!! I've looked various times for this recipe on RUclips and on your channel especially. Thankfully my mum helped me out with the recipe a while ago when I made it for some friends but I'm so happy that this video is now up so I can always refer to it
I make a little noodle bowl too. I just cannot keep up with eating one or two items at a time. This is a something we always eat in Bangkok for family gatherings so I can’t even bother to set a whole thing up at home. Cleaning up dishes at the end is painful pai. Everyone got their own dipping bowl and all that jazz.
My whole family is Thai (Parents immigrated- can’t really speak Thai though :/) and I bought a hot pot + the induction cooker, so I will definitely be making this for the family!
This dish is really all about the sauce. The MK style is very popular (and they don't seem to sell the sauce outside from the restaurant). I tried many ready to use suki sauce and my favorite is the Lobo branded one. It's rather hot for untrained person but very mild for thai.
When I miss Japan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Japanese cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking.
What are the green noodles they have at MK Suki restaurants? I haven't been able to find them here, because I don't know what I'm looking for. I am super excited about making the sauce recipe!!!
Oh Pai, can you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE teach us how to make egg tofu at home?????? Love your channel and ALL your recipes. You are so wonderful to all of us, and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts!!
When this pandemic madness is over, I'm going to celebrate making this, for sure. I would make it right now buuuut getting asian products in Chile is already difficult without all stores closed. Thank you so much for this recipe!
Pailin, good comfort at home for this recommended social distancing time 👍👏! By the way, do those Vietnamese meatballs (fish, shrimp, beef, pork, and chicken) come cooked?
Have you ever had lettuce (not iceberg) in your hot pot Pailin? It’s actually pretty good! I had it in Chinese hot pot and it has a lovely crunch 💚 Oh and softened tofu skins are a must!
Please please please do a thai mookata grilled marinate meats recipe! I've been looking for a marinate garlic pork collar recipe for mookata/BBQ. I had it at a Thai mookata restaurant and fell in love. But i couldn't replicate the garlic pork collar marinate at home.
Pailin, do you have a suggestion for a sub for the fermented tofu? I have not been able to find a gluten free version anywhere. Otherwise, this is an excellent GF recipe if you use GF sauces. It looks delicious!
Love your style and personality! Great cooking skills to teach....and you practically live in my backyard, (Abbotsford)or me in yours! Gotta try this...not as daunting as I thought😊 Please can you tell me where the shop is that you bought your Typhoon 14in. Carbon Steel wok at? In Vancouver soon and it’s unavailable on Amazon right now. Would love the name and address if possible?
Hi Caroline! The one she's using doesn't seem to be available any longer ... so I added a different wok to the "Kit" here ... kit.co/hotthaikitchen/kitchen-tools-i-use , but really anything that meets the criteria on her video on woks here will be good hot-thai-kitchen.com/best-wok-to-buy/ Cheers! Stay safe friend.. Video was amazing as always.. our family is avoiding hot pot for now.. limited supplies.
The way you eat suki hot pot is the same way I do...my own full bowl, little sauce in, & dip it as well! Love it!
Add Daikon for soup base and as a hot pot ingredient. Sweetens the soup and also great when cooked and coated with dipping sauce.
I love all your recipes and when you talk in Thai I instantly feel home (Luk Kreung haha)
Thank you for making so delicious videos :)
Thank you very much! I had Hot Pot on Christmas and the Sauce was sooo good!

When buying the Thai glass noodles how do you tell which are the unbleached ones? Does it say on the packaging?
Nope you have to watch it closely, but many Voon sen exactly the same when you soak it before you use it. Trust me im Thai chef lol
Hi! ... and yep the packaging will indicate one way or the other, and they are in fact very slightly green. Cheers! Adam

Pailin, do you have a suggestion for a sub for the fermented tofu? I have not been able to find a gluten free version anywhere. Otherwise, this is an excellent GF recipe if you use GF sauces. It looks delicious!
You can leave it out of this recipe, some people in Thailand don't add it either but I think it's better with. Might need to up the salty stuff a bit.
This is my most favorite thing to eat P’Pailin 💕💕💕
