Over the past 10 years I’ve shared multiple travel videos online and the question that I get the most is “How did you grade this?” This is my color grading process for travel content. Cheers, Flo
Thank you very much for this very informative and detailed video on color grading! This is exactly what I've been wanting for! I know that it required a lot of work and time to create this video, so once again, thank you soon very much and good luck in your creative endeavors! Looking forward to more amazing videos from you!
Love this, great video as always. Simple process, clear and concise. It is very similar to my current workflow, except I tend to skip transcoding to Prores as I edit everything in Davinci anyway. I'm always blown away by the image straight out of camera on Blackmagic cameras, nothing beats it.
@@OfTwoLands😄 Btw you don’t use your Pyxis? Also can I use the Canon 24-70 or the 16-35 USM on the FF open gate with no crop? No sure if these lenses are full frame
Im interested to hear more about your experience with lenses with IS and the black magic 6k pro camera! I have a sigma myself which is beautiful but doesn't offer stabilisation..
Thank you for the wealth of info man I'm gonna save this video 👏👏 I have film convert nitrate too, your work is one of the reasons I don't feel like I need to buy dehancer 😅 Your work inspires me to try to capture such great cinematography even just where I'm at 👏
Thanks for the video! I watched your BMPcc4k grading video from a few years back. Are you still using the Black magic conversion lut, or are you using color management for the black magic film to extended video?
A bit off topic but I am wondering how the bmcc6k ff is to travel with? I am considering purchasing this camera to take hiking/travelling with me, using it handheld (for days at a time) with only minimal additions such as a battery grip. At it's price range it produces amazing images with opengate which makes it very difficult to find an adequate alternative. I ask this because I am concerned that the camera is quite susceptible to the environment and may not be physically up to the task. Cheers!
It is really good! I've taken it to NYC, Brussels and other places without an issue. I would say though to use internal batteries as they last quite a bit for travel content and they are also cheap and light. I carry 3/4 on me on my trips. I have taken my Pockets to Antarctica, Greenland and in the desert so I am sure you will be fine :).
You said you like the canons for the stabilization, are you still using the gyro in davinci? Cause I can’t seem to use it when I have stabilization turned on my sigma lens.

All I can say is that everytime you produce a film, the exposure, colour grading and editing are spot on in my view.
Thanks so much mate 🙏🙏

I love IS lenses especially for travel and outdoor work! The ones I listed are the ones I use all the time and have been doing so for years :).
Passionnant, très interessant de découvrir ton process et tes intentions
Merci 🙏☺️

Great tutorial video.
I noticed that you put Color board on top of Filmconvert settings.
Is this intentional ? Why not the other way around ?
Thank you!! I have alway done it that way as I always prefer to check overall sat, exposure and contrast before.
I would like to see more of your process in Davinci, which BMPCC Lut do you add to the raw file?
I don’t add any luts. I just export as log 422 👍
@@OfTwoLands I see. I thought it just added a film color grade but I didn't know that it grades the log
With the NISI VND do you get any sort of IR pollution or X pattern on your footage?
No I do not. That’s why I still use it after all those years :).
You said you like the canons for the stabilization, are you still using the gyro in davinci? Cause I can’t seem to use it when I have stabilization turned on my sigma lens.
I actually don’t use Gyro. Doesn’t work with IS lenses so I prefer not to.
what are your export setting in DaVinci when you're working with BRAW files do explain
ProRes 422 in 4K
@@OfTwoLands Thanks
