The Amityville lamp monster immediately brought to mind the Family Guy cutaway with Stephen King thinking up a lamp monster for his next novel.
“Mansquito” was absolutely born from the drunken bet in the local pub that they could make “The Fly” 10 times better than “that jerk Cronenberg”.
Why don't they just eat the killer tomatoes and killer donuts.
There are so many I could name but "Night of the Lepus" could have been #1. It was actual bunny rabbits and was also parodied on South Park with Guinea Pigs.
This was a great list, but I'd definitely give at least an honorable mention to Jack Frost, the story of the killer snowman which would be in Blockbuster often side by side with the Michael Keaton family pic version. Perhaps that was his most diabolical move...

I’ve seen Syfy horror movies, ZomBeavers, Zoonimials, Monster House, Coraline, 9, The Black Cauldron, Holidays, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad and The Descent. How in the wide wide world would this list and other lists of lame monsters scare me?
