Hi there Andy. I don’t see anything wrong with feeding excess fry to your other big cichlids. As you said in the video it’s why they have so many fry in the first place. The only time I think I ever have problems with feeding live food to a fish is when you get that food from a pet store and it’s in poor quality that could pass to your big predators. People need to be realistic, especially with the larger fish. Not enough tanks or prospective buyers to grow out the amount of fry a good pair can produce in a year!
Well Done Andy. Its the most responsible thing you can do with the fry. Can't keep them all. Have the same issue with my Cubans but my Jack Dempsey's love the occasional treat..
Totally agree Andy you have to do what you need to , and there's not a lot of big fish keepers in the hobby so this I'd not cruel but sometimes essential .

I have lots of frys and their parents has some more Bach of frys. I was thinking about taking them to the pets store for store credit. On the other hand I want to keep them too. 🤔🤔🤔
Hey Andy, Question, Ihave 12 black nasty fry, when should Istart to separate as idont want too lose any while trying to spawn. They are .5 inch to 1.5 long. Ikno that’s still pretty young but I want to be safe

Store credit! Forget they I buy them, grow emand sell for 20 times what I paid for them. That is the way
