You can replace the fans with some Noctua 40mm (or whatever size they are) which will help the noise. Also 360s have been so hacked to death, I'm sure there is a fan speed controller in the software for Aurora (I'm less familiar with it than other stuff)
The fan might be really loud because often people would perform what was called the "12 volt fan mod". Which was done by cutting the power line to the fans and splicing it into the 12 volt power line for the DVD drive. It essentially "overclocks" the fans to run at a higher speed and remain maxxed out. You can also change fan control settings with some of the dashboard mods so they might have instead just maxed out the fan profile in the settings. But judging by all the work done on this console I think the fans are wired directly onto a 12 volt line. There is other locations that you can get 12 volt from for the fans too. Some after market fans even had adapters that split the power from the DVD drive without any need to splice wires.
Like lee denson said, those temps are fine. the og 360 ran at 75 -85c on the gpu on a good day, so seeing 50c is really nice. Some of the newer revisions run cooler around 70 to 75c on GPU. Those do not have the red ring problem. if you are already seeing this chances are there is cracked solder on the GPU that was present before the seller modded it. You can take a heat gun to it once it dies (to the gpu) and get the solder crack to refuse and "fix itself" but like doing this with any GPU you are on borrowed time at this point.
I also do have a Xbox 360 elite, hacked and modded. The OG fans are also loud, but not as loud as yours in the vid. There is probably a software to lower the speed of the fans, but with these consoles it will be always better to have optimal cooling to avoid the RROD. In earlier days, after PS1 and N64, consoles were always a bit loud, just to think at the PS3 fat lady, but we are no more use to that noise, as the newer generations, starting with 360 slim, PS3 slim, Xbox One S, and Series X are so silent.
I've heard how the latest model Xbox 360s are far more easier to soft mod or something so I'm not sure why he spent a fortune on this older model with the rrod issue 🤷♀️

Actually, Jasper(phat) motherboards are the best. Second is the Trinity(Slim). Aurora is a dashboard, not a menu. FSD is very outdated, but still had some great features that Aurora has yet to implement, but that is due to them wanting to rewrite some code.

Also, that socket that the smaller additional board is connected to is a jtag port, it's used for programming the entire system. The method used on this console was JTAG, not too messy either, fairly decent install. IMO If customs damages your purchase, they should have to pay for a brand new item, if it's one off, they should be forced to reimburse the full amount. Any customs agent who ruins someones property should be fired for destruction of property. I don't give a crap if they're worried about a bomb. The fact those government employees can get away with that both in the UK and US apparently, is pathetic and unjust.
My uncle did this as a job and ended up giving me one I still use to this day. Any game I want permanently I just slide the disc in and it'll burn onto the Xbox.
I mean... You got a load of additional stuff that could be sold to make some money back?? Or convert the controllers to MIDI so you can use them in actual music software
Man this brings back memories. There's also a mod you can do on your console to where you just make your cd drive loose to where you install the game or in todays terms pre load the game, then just drop the disc in, let it boot up, then after games running take the disc out and now you can technically play that 1 disc game on 2 consoles or more.
this requires taking the case apart and having the top of the cd drive loose to where you can open the top and remove the disc without hitting the eject button.
07:58 - I'm really sorry dude but that is not "running fine". It's very clearly running quite a bit below framerate. I would call that framerate unplayable since there's almost no scenario in the modern era where your only option to play PS1 would be on a 360 and pretty much any other solution will give better framerate than that. I think you would have agreed if you played it much longer.
Bro no intake fans..the thing is just sucking thin air if any. No wonder it red ring, there's no extra flow being put into it everything is pulling out. A few 40mm fans on a different side to push air into the console to the heat sink would help or through the dvd tray spot (mount it externally)
I remember hooking up a dual NAND and dual HDD's that was setup on a relay that would automatically switch between my hacked HDD and my Xbox Live enable HDD. That's not to mention casemods galore!
Don't be fooled by this guy, the xbox modding community for the xbox/xbox 360 is very active, and online services still exist. You can still get online and play games as well. But if you are on a modded console you will be needing a stealth server and it is recommended to play on an alt account. Aurora is just a modified dashboard to be able to load/keep track of all your games easily which can be changed back to the default xbox dashboard if you wish. And if you are looking to buy a RGH/JTAG 360 I would check out Tony Mondello and then Cipher Services for a stealth server.
I remember 9th grade. My uncle would mod Xbox’s and I had a shit load of peoples Xbox’s in my locker all the time. I made so much money burning games at 10$ each.

I wonder what's up with the RRODs, this should be a Jasper console, one of the best that doesn't have GPU issues.
"Rock band wasn't the greatest music game in the world"
I sadly have to agree even though I did enjoy it for a time the sheer quality of the game and lack of variety of songs was rather disappointing.
Nice content as always 🔥🔥🔥🔥... Shared this with my mates .. was truly curious and they enjoyed the content too

Just you know, that black circular thing was a seat off of a cheap stool
You know you can do this yourself it's been about for years the way RUclipsrs use HACKED now a days is pathetic you got scammed as well not even worth half what you paid
I lost brain cells watching this.
meow
@UglyracerPlayz73274 😂
i flashed my 360 years ago. im banned until 12/31/9999. Just a few more years :)
It's also loud because that fan on top don't have enough ventilation and all it really needed was one big fan from an Xbox one or newer Xbox 360
I miss my jtagged xbox literally downloaded any games through microsoft store and had unlimited gamepass online in game items anything and i could use my main Microsoft account. Never got banned i miss. The og days
You don’t know when your dealing with console that has online store your being watched all day it’s not like the PS2 original Xbox GameCube Nintendo Microsoft Sony are watching everything you do what your playing if they want to take a game away from you they can do that very simple I wouldn’t try hacking a console that had online you can’t even use action replay anymore cause of the achievements and trophies you would be able to unlock every achievement if they were still available
I swear this the only system I had experience actually taking apart too mod it & Jtag/RGH it. Doing Hot Swap Mods for GTA IV online when the Airport was the hangout spot, fighting in helicopters & drag races & drifting & Boxing matches & stunt drivers, head to head matches lol The good days
what are you talking about guitar hero and rock band are the same is that one has through the fire in flame or through the fire and flames i forgot the name of the song its been forever the other does not . i like both of them soon i might buy a hacked xbox 360 on ebay
I love how he never fails to make amazing content!
Didnt see the diodes or resistors that should be daisy chained into those red lines, guessing it one of the reasons for the systems failing health as its meant to help protect the CPU.
A moment of silence for Ben’s finger
😂
i love this guy
I can almost guarantee whoever painted that was an Auburn fan.
Were "over seas" did it come from?
IMO If customs damages your purchase, they should have to pay for a brand new item, if it's one off, they should be forced to reimburse the full amount. Any customs agent who ruins someones property should be fired for destruction of property. I don't give a crap if they're worried about a bomb. The fact those government employees can get away with that both in the UK and US apparently, is pathetic and unjust.
Amazing Video! Enjoyed Watching this video ;O
My uncle did this as a job and ended up giving me one I still use to this day. Any game I want permanently I just slide the disc in and it'll burn onto the Xbox.
Nice
I’ve had a couple jtags growing up and my friends and I used to have so much fun modding online. Wish they were still relevant.
Is the disk drive required to run the Xbox? I wonder if the heat issue improves after you remove it and replace it with another fan.
No not needed unless you want to back up your physical disks to your hard drive.
Crazy paid $480usd for a console you can get from Facebook for under $80 and mod for $2 with a 1k ohm resistor
I used to have a hacked 360 and the games were burnt onto blank disc from my computer. Essentially i had every game you could think.
Turn the fan speed up under the settings..
Apart from the damage, this console looks so sick. Like the paint job looks so cool, I want one myself 😭
I got like 8 of them
@@youcantstopme5136 where do you buy this rgh consoles ?

“Hopefully it has garageband” 😭💀💀
I still have my modded Xkey 360. I had a 2 tb hdd with practically everything out at the time. I even got CoD 1 month early once. 🙃
he actually learned how to use a jtag xbox before buying. Good for him. Edit: Atleast I hope he did...
" now these are just regular Xbox controllers" Me: the nostalgia
07:58 - I'm really sorry dude but that is not "running fine". It's very clearly running quite a bit below framerate. I would call that framerate unplayable since there's almost no scenario in the modern era where your only option to play PS1 would be on a 360 and pretty much any other solution will give better framerate than that. I think you would have agreed if you played it much longer.
Reminds me of my modded OG, hardware so poweful then It could emulate a lot of stuff. You could ftp, ise isos and a bunch of stuff
0:46 that's a part of a stool
Bro no intake fans..the thing is just sucking thin air if any. No wonder it red ring, there's no extra flow being put into it everything is pulling out. A few 40mm fans on a different side to push air into the console to the heat sink would help or through the dvd tray spot (mount it externally)
the razor blade techniques were horrifying
That's the Tom petty guitar I had that guitar hero. definitely a good find
Back in like 2002 I had a original Xbox I had hundreds of Xbox games installed and I had almost every other console emulator. The good ol days
Hey, guitar hero controllers are good! They're becoming quite rare nowadays.
Not really lol their just over priced .. people are giving them away .. and selling them in console game bundles locally online ..
I did a lot of xbox 360 modding and I don't imagine myself using stock xbox again
Honestly the value of guitar hero guitars should only sky rocket over time.
I remember hooking up a dual NAND and dual HDD's that was setup on a relay that would automatically switch between my hacked HDD and my Xbox Live enable HDD. That's not to mention casemods galore!
Thank you for saying rock band is not better than Guitar Hero! I've gotten into many arguments about that topic!
I swear I've seen this video before
Sir you called SEGA SAGA and said you never played crash bandicoot absolute insanity
I hope you put thermal paste back on when you put it back together again 🤔
I USed to Have a modded Xbox Original And i still do it has over 10000 Sega and nintendo games from years before 2000, still love it.
Wow, thats insane how broken that came while it was wrapped up so much. Is that common?
Idk if you heard him but he had mentioned real quick that it probably happened from UK customs taking it apart.
When you said at least it's not rockband I'm like bruh those are rockband controllers
why wouldnt the seller just ditch the rockband stuff omg
That paint is gona come rite off on the paddles
Actually there is Dash launch Wich let's you go to the default dashboard

What JTAG or RGH is this? I'm assuming a RGH Falcon which is the least of my favorites. Lots of redrings.
What a bad good looking MOD there are way better mods having all that + running silently and cooler ...
I remember 9th grade. My uncle would mod Xbox’s and I had a shit load of peoples Xbox’s in my locker all the time. I made so much money burning games at 10$ each.
Watching him try to play 10 yard fight or the original Sega mastersystem was funny. Hey those were all we had. And we loved them.
Need to modify it with liquid cooled or heat shields. No way is this system worth it if you have to constantly check temps.
the aurora menu is so cool does anyone know how to create a menu like that for windows just to show the cover front and back same like in aurora ????
Guys my friend owns a xbox360 that has about 99 games on it but no Nintendo or PlayStation or any wierd apps...how can i tell if its jailbroken or not?
"Yur a TechTuber, Harry!"
Sorry just want to say. That is not a UK system.
The plug is wrong. We have 3 prongs and not 2
The new soldering and shit are so sketchy
Had a R2-D2 one with C3PO controllers. Greatest console I ever owned
Those are worth quite a bit now if I remember correctly
I remember having a hacked xbox 360 that was gears of war themed & we ended up hacking halo 2 so our SMGS shot grenades, rocket launchers shot tanks and plasma pistols shot ghosts lol. Good ole days
At my “arcade” in my state also known as Dave n busters there’s a guitar hero
