- a wonderful walk at -10 degrees Celsius through Kandersteg! a wonderful place full of story and history!
Kandersteg is located at 1,200 meters in the Bernese Oberland and offers a fantastic view of the Blümlisalp Massif. The peaceful holiday resort with about 1000 inhabitants with all its wooden chalets has maintained its village character and in summer is an absolute hiker’s paradise. In winter the emphasis is on Nordic ski sports.

@@silviacook9256 wir sind seit l965 in den Staaten. Vorher waren 3 Jahre in Kanada. Ist aber immer schoen wieder etwas von den “alten Gefilden” zu sehen.

is a perfect village for hiking and nearby is a lake ,called - Oeschinen Lake

Been there on three school skiing trips 1969 71/73 staying at The Reudihaus ,Kandersteg has not changed much ! Do they still have the horse drawn sleighs in the Winter I wonder !

Kuba Model jest za cienki w uszach aby inwestować w nieruchomości w Szwajcarii bo go raczej nie stać aby to kupić za gotówkę a tu układu w banku nie ma to nie dostanie kredytu jako Polak no chyba że na kogoś z prawem pobytu

I was lucky to live and work in Switzerland for 6 months
in mid 80s . I have travelled around in Norway , Canada.
Scotland , Sweden but Switzerland is the finest !
For me , Norway is very close 2 nd - but much larger area
so didn't see whole country .

When i was there in 86 they said they were trying to restict development and keep the beautiful character of the village, looks like they managed to achieve that. It is truly a lovely village and on a clear day the sun rises and sets on the white mountain tops is spectacular .

@M F how is the weather there and are there still Covid restrictions?
the weather is nice. cold in the morning but by noon, its a perfect 70 degrees F. as far as covid, only restrictions are to wear a mask indoors a public facility, store, bank, etc. :)
