Song sounds so depressing perfect for garlemald I for one whole have loved to hear this rendition in the actual credis scene of endwalker or sometime in garlemald! And I always think of and remember Quintus that stubborn man when I hear this tune and his story 😔😭 (*edit*) I honestly can't wait for S.E's next expansion after endwalker in FFXIV and see what they do with garlemald in a whole + jullus's character and his development and maybe tie in with gaius??? I predict Jullus will be garlemald's new ruler and he will be like a city state ruler but that's just My idea. Also that ending of this video DAMN 💀 💀💀
Gaius as leader of the new nation of Garlemald maybe? It could be made particularly symbolic. From the standpoint of the Ascian made Garlean Empire now led by the Black Wolf himself after "shedding his pelt" and having become an ascian hunter. On top of how he was the man framed for assassinating Varis, which would be seen as the death of the last Emperor/Empire by "Gaius's" hand. I like the idea of Jullus having a hand in the new Garlean Nation but Gaius has far more experience in a leadership role and still holds true to the love for his people. But I can see it being similar in theming too to Lyse and Raubahn with Jullus being assisted by Gaius.
Love this arrangement! You wouldn't happen to have like sheet music or a midi or something for this would you? I've been trying to make an arrangement of this song for a bard ensemble, but I'm terrible at transcribing by ear. >_>
Here's my midi transcription! It's definitely a tricky one due to the jazzy nature -> drive.google.com/file/d/1TVdUqjGqJ79Vsvo4ZbRA3preKvvkMTx6/view?usp=sharing The tempo is 69 BPM (yes, really)
