He will cancel all live performances and other activities planned for FY2024 and concentrate on medical treatment. Wow, Bill - your video descriptions are almost as good as the videos themselves. Thank you for taking the time to add such clarity and insight into your career and the ongoing practice of what it means to be a musician.
This album was my soundtrack for years and deserves much more attention. I think, despite never learning a note of mr. Watanabe’s playing it influenced me subconsciously. Thanks for posting this
I’ve owned this recording (and Kazumi’s studio version) since their original release. Always blown away by the fact that Jeff and Bill ALWAYS knew where they were going, and Kazumi, as talented as he is, kept up! This music would be so easy to get tripped-up by, or lost in! Thanks, Bill, for sharing these classic clips. Love them here, even though they’re in my collection!
This was great. I love seeing all three of you fantastic musicians playing together. But adding in your wonderful comments about your approach to instrumental song titles and the hazards of practice and the lifestyle of a musician makes this so very good. I love hearing about your life as a musician. Thank you Bill.
I assumed UNT was University of North Texas, lol but I guess not. Thanks for doing this Bill. I hope you inspire many more musicians like you did me. Young musicians should realize there is so much more than the straight ahead Neal Peart and so on. And I love these other drummers too but Bruford’s well roundness and use of melody makes him my most favorite
7 mins or so of groovy 80s fun. Thanks Bill! Obviously there's a persistent sweet spot between YES abd and Crim and this fit perfectly as a bridge between 80s Crim and then the brief 90s Yes you were part of.
Aside from the incredible musicianship involved, credit is due to whoever directed or edited this. They clearly took a pride in their work & did everyone justice here.
Great song and playing. Poor direction, editing, and camera work. Hold the frame and let the players talent speak for themselves. No need for extreme close ups and dynamic camera moves. How about a two shot, or three shot. Too chaotic to really enjoy visually and impossible to see the magic of bill except in small glimpses. Now I have to watch again. :)
I have to say that this would have benefitted more with a loose jazzy rythm. Bruford is an excellent drummer, of course, but jazz fusion is not his forte'.
I really really enjoy Bill writing these action packed vid descriptions. Thanks so much for posting these vids and writings!!.
Love seeing Bill Bruford and Jeff Berlin together again. Rhythm sections don't get any better than that.

This one being especially good, and hits close to home.

I still have this on VHS and a player!🔥🔥🔥
Wow! It's been a long time since I heard this. I met Jeff just around this time. I attended MI.
Love your written description and performance here. Thank you.

Nice commentary, Bill. Phil Collins and Gentle Giant drummer John Weathers have both been physically unable to play for years now.
UNT obviously stands for the University of North Texas because why not make a song titled after that!
Nice! I've never seen this one.
To my ears, it's a bit like a Return To Forever flavor which I enjoy immensely.
Blistering. All three musicians - bravo!

Maestro Bill was definitely one of Neil's favorites.
Like the rest of us.
In 1987, I went to see a show at the Osaka Kosei Nenkin Kaikan Japan.
Bill: if you happen to read this, and regarding the comment you make in this video, I'd like to know if you practice the Alexander Technique.

This is a true gem .. MORE !!!
This trio is oozing with talent!!
Could it be short for “Untitled”? 😊
OMG love this band, thanks for posting maestro.

I met Kazumi when he came to Zama-Shi and played Acoustic at City Hall. What year? Can't remember well, but around 2003-2005
UNT, University of N Texas? Known for its excellent jazz curriculum and 100,000 watt 88.1 KNTU-FM jazz station.
UNT is usually a reference to the University of North Texas.
just brilliant
Haven't seen this one before. Very good. Is that Jeff Berlin on bass?
Great video.
Hey bill, any reason why feels good to me isn’t on apple music?

I like the subtle energy Kazumi brings to the stage
