      I'll send you a Lely Milking Robot/Station along with the collar.
      Let me know if she walks right in or if you have to corral her for the first few times.
      Also, watch the Somatic Cell Count numbers... you never know.
      No need to contaminate the entire bulk tank.
      You're welcome!

      The system is super clean. Whether normal milking or robots. You're fined if shit gets into the tank!

    I am very interested in this system for my herd, but have a few questions. 1) Can the Lely handle Highland Cattle with their horns and long coat? 2) Can the system handle separation of breeds ie, mixing Jerseys with Highlanders in the same group? 3) Can the Lely handle mixed species together, ie, sheep, goats and cattle in the same herd? -I would really appreciate a reply guys.

    How do you manage their grazing across your pastures if you leave gates open everywhere?

    • @pinetree2519
      @pinetree2519 5 лет назад +4

      Marilyn Pratt they keep the pasture enclosed, but the gate to the milking robot open for them to be milked on their own

    • @CathyGoes
      @CathyGoes 3 года назад

      You can use a central lane to allow access to all pastures and then you just open whatever pasture for them.

      The neat thing about farms is that they can have more than one gate.

    The thing that is hard to understand is how filthy most of these dairy operations are.Look for yourself,as many videos as you want but 95% of these farms are pigsty's even when brand new equipment is installed.My old dairyman would turn in his grave if he saw this.

    • @UndoFilms
      @UndoFilms 7 лет назад +2

      That's because most dairy farms have free stall barns. It's nearby impossible to keep them absolutely clean ... I agree, it's not pretty. However, the important thing is a clean utter.

    • @justinperecman9109
      @justinperecman9109 7 лет назад

      Not impossible. Lely also makes a system that cleans the cows when they go for their milking which seems to help a lot.

    • @bartdereu9267
      @bartdereu9267 6 лет назад +2

      @@UndoFilms That's bullshit; You can keep your cows pretty neat if you take your time for it. Dirty cows = lazy farmer.
