I loved the Sunshine Family. I had the trio and I think I had their house. They were sweet gentle dolls and the dolls encouraged recycling, reuse, and creativity. I love the Steffie and Ricky sculpts. The Mod Ken is my favorite Ken sculpt and I love the Stacey sculpt. Thanks for this presentation.

How very very interesting. I am now fascinated in learning good information. Bradley is a walking encyclopedia.
My mom wouldn't buy me Barbie opting for Ideal Tammy &Pepper instead. My mom seemed to love Ideal dolls more than Mattel. I have only recently(last 4 years) gotten interested in Barbies history past basics, when I actually traded my ideal Tammy family, I had painstakenly reassembled off eBay (I discovered I was out of love with them), for the early Barbie family (which I adore) I now own. I am only missing Ricky and am not sure I want Tutti, as I recall all the issues with her wires. My grandpa did buy me a Skipper and a family friend a Tutti.

Some bend leg ken dolls can be found with "USA" on the bottom of their foot
