She would've been a perfect Burgeon Berserker type, she could trigger Burgeon and use the damage she takes from the explosions to buff the team or something.
They could fix her easily by making her C1 a passive and give her burst a passive that increases damage based on how much damage she absorbed. Increase her scalers a little and boom, you've solidified her role and made her damage viable.

The thing is, her damage isn't really hybrid scaling. It's her ascension stats that confuse people. Her kit is supposed to scale from atk and cr/cd but her scaling is too low. Her ascension stat is hp but her hp is just for tanking the dmg taken by your team. She feels below average right now, but I hope hyv has better plans for her beta kit.

(I play competitive pvp games, think dia+ league every season, Genshin is a cakewalk) Cyno.. his power felt meh compared to Raiden and even Keqing without his weapon. His gameplay pressing E when the indicator shows was also boring to me. I did like his egyptian visuals though with the Anubis vibe. But yeah I was memeing of course in my first post. You can pull any character you wish in Genshin since this game is braindead easy as a mobile game and it will never get more increasingly challenging endgame as stated by Hoyo. Dehya tho really needs fixing to even pass as an average 5*. Unless you really love her I don't see any "pull value" to add her to your account.

Dehya is my most hype character in sumeru even more than nahida. But they just have to destroy her by putting a mess up kit and not needed role. Her asc boost HP% but her dmg scale based on ATK and her multiplier is low as well. She basically can't play as dps or sub dps. She did have give dmg migitation but overall xingqiu dmg migitation even much better. The dps don't need to stick to one place and xingqiu gives heal as well. Even if u have dmg migitation but if u keep getting hit without having a heal u will eventually die. If u have to play focus dodge then it's much better to just not bring one anyway.
"What is Dehya? Dehya is a mess" Just about how I would describe her, have to agree there on that. So upset that she's so mediocre and doesn't fit anywhere. Coulda been a 5 star replacement for Xiangling, coulda been a Burgeon queen with EM scaling and other passives... Sigh*
It's still beta at this point, and hopefully Hoyo would make an update on this one to buff her kit, or make her C1 viable or passive. It's like the same scenario of Alhaitham, people deemed him trash on beta and calling him /Dendro Keqing/ at first glance, but it got flipped the page after official release, and people liking him now.

Ppl's complaints with Alhaitham come down to lack of originality for a 5 star and then some big nerfs during beta that made him average as a male again, which is sus. However Dehya is already as weak as a 5 star can get and also her kit is straight poor design, as there's no place in the game atm for a 12 sec uptime and 20 CD for a minor damage and slow off-field. And why is there a 4 sec on-field ult with 18 CD on an off-field unit? She needs a complete uptime rework and at least +20% damage at this point, she's too lacking when usually beta characters release strong and THEN get nerfed, they are way more careful when buffing. We can expect only small-medium damage increases, but 99% sure she won't get what she needs to gain a purpose, they don't like touching CDs and durations too much. After all, she's passed many inside tests to even be released in beta, so mihoyo is already 90% commited to this version and just waiting for minor tweaks. It's just sad how they butchered a hype character specially as Pyro is a very left out element this year and it would have made sense to release a cracked unit to give us a reason to run Burgeon but oh well. Guess we'll need to wait a year for another unit that actually buffs Burgeon and suddenly Dehya becomes a must pull like Kokomi, I don't like this kind of design

If the Chinese representation bias was real, Zhongli would have been more game breaking than Raiden Shogun or Nahida and Geo would have been buffed by now. Her c1 does that in a way it increases dmg based off of a portion of hp I think it’s 8% now. And c1 increases her hp by 15%. Tbh think tenacity 4pc or 2 pc tenacity and crimson set would be alright for her. Nothing about her even her weapon tells me she wants to be an em focused character or even a burgeon character.
her 3 major problems that needed to be fixed imo 1. Make her talents scale on both ATK and that chunk of HP 2. Adjust her burst be viewed as NA move set, not burst move set. So her burst can proc XQ's, Yelan's burst. 3. Her burst should be able to receive ATK speed buff
I think it should be like raiden. She does burst dmg but it is considered delivered through normal attacks so she can trigger xingqui but also use emblem for nukes + atk speed.
Her burst isn’t like Raiden where you could freely attack during, it works more like Xiangling’s burst but instead of being able to swap out immediately, she’s forced to stay on field until it ends.
@@BarQ__ Dehya's burst isn't like Itto or Raiden. Raiden's burst deals burst DMG and uses NA,CA, PA move set so she can proc XQ/Yelan but can't proc Beido's. Meanwhile Itto's burst is infused NA, CA, PA to be Geo DMG and still NA, CA, PA move set, so his burst can proc all. @Phi N in the reply is right, Dehya's burst is more like XL's than Raiden's. Dehya's burst is counted as both burst DMG and burst move set, also can't freely control like Raiden's burst. All you can do are aiming in general direction to punch enemies and press M1 at the right timing to speed up her punches. Explaining Dehya's issues in my opinion 1. Her base HP is chunky yet her base ATK is low. However, her BiS weapon gives 40% ATK why ? and all Dehya's talents multiplier are ATK scaling. 2. Dehya's burst (might/STC) deals burst DMG as you can see she can utilize Emblem of Served Fate, and her burst uses burst move set. Therefore, Dehya can't proc XQ/Yelan/Beido, she can't proc none of their burst. 3. Her burst should be able to receive ATK speed buff, I mean...why not ?
She just like Xinyan in this state of the beta: Messy kit that isn't particulary good in anything and can easily be substituted by any other unit. Even if she has another future unit that can complement her I doubt she will be worth it due to her burst and E not being that powerful and having bad cooldowns
Sadly, due to her slow ticks, Dehya won't work with vape DPS Barbara. If she did I would certainly pull for her. I might pull for her anyway just 'cause I'm a simp, but I'm not sure yet. Her kit seems awful atm, but it will probably get changed before release.

Im guessing they thought people would want her badly enough to spend more money to get c1/signature weapon to unlock her hp scaling. Perhaps with the backlash, they will realise their mistake and fix it. I'll get her regardless

i wonder if specific people in mihoyo are in charge of making certain characters because i get the same feeling from dehya that i did from Yae Miko they are both flashy and more of a concept in the persons head but they dont really try to imagine their place in the game and how they will be used.

Her E is confusing for a pyro character because you don't use that much if you have good shielder like Zhongli and Diona + Diona c6 give ally extra EM that could help Ganyu deal extra melt damage. She might helpfull for Burn with Nahida if you want to keep fire infusion long enough but we already have better perma burn team already.
Dehya is still in beta i'm sure she'll get better as time goes on it's the same with Al-Haitham we assume he's weak because of his nerf in beta only for him to be really strong in Dendro reactions when he's released
Alhaitham is dendro Childe, driver for broken element so he is by definition broken and as the game will progress and more characters will be added he will be more and more broken. Every off field sub dps or support is buff to driver characters with anemo, dendro or hydro element. Unlike Dehya, who can't be used as a pyro driver, that's why without redesigning her kit it's impossible for her to get better without making other pyro characters skyrocket. She is not Childe who miraculously gets better and better as more characters are released

The issue isn't EM scaling. In the end Raiden EM works wonderful as well... But Raiden is easy to use and versatile. You need to be able to use her without sacrificing other things so investment to EM isn't lost.
Raiden also hits with electro every second while dehya hits pyro every 2.5 seconds so any amount of burgeon she will do is gonna be less than an actual good character. Thoma with EM outclasses her in every way.
I hope her skill will be like rosaria's burst with a lot of ticks. And her dmg will scale off of hp. In addition, depending on % of the dmg taken during the time that her skill is on the field, she'll get a burst dmg bonus. Ofc she will have to be in the circle for it to work. I also love her NA so i hope her skill is like chongyun. If not, at least make her dps-able.
This is honestly just comedy at this point. And her first round of buffs/nerfs are already through so I don't expect any massive changes that she would sorely need.
They have a nice concept (a character that protects your team by taking damage itself), but they really have tons of work to do. I´d suggest making her damage soaking mechanic way stronger, that way you don´t need a healer, and the damage taken/dealt while inside her zone gives her "charges" similar to Raiden, that improves by a lot her ult damage. That way she can work as an off field defensive support that can also deal big burst damage in a small window.
she needs to be as good as/better than hu tao. meaning she needs to be doing massive damage with those punches. otherwise, i wont even bother pulling for her. im at 66 pity, garunteed, and i have 19 wishes. if she ends up being bad, im skipping for sure
Since Dehya has something going on with HP and Focalors the hydro archon is the next archon to release and hydro is the element of HP i'd say she's probably she's waiting for future fontaine characters.

It's really sad to say, but 4-star pyro characters literally do what she does but better. Bennet and Thoma are both already there to keep your group alive, with the former being able to also give insane attack buffs and the latter exceling in burgeon reactions. Her kit is interesting but badly designed

Even though deyha is a mess, I'm still going to pull for her, hell I'm skipping Hu Tao (who I main at C1) just to pull for her. But I guess it's up to the person on weather you pull for her or just skip her
She doesn't need to be built EM on a burning team. Dendro and Pyro hits change the output of burning dmg based on the owners EM but you need a lot more dendro application to keep burning applied. Therefore you could build dehya straight ATK, HP, CRITS and have the dendro get 200 to 500 EM and chill. This is because burning is a state for further reactions-- especially overload spams from electro and melt spams from cryo. The biggest issue here would come from how small her skill AOE is, not her build.
I've only thought about it now but.. why is the damage mitigation only 50%?? I would understand if she did something with the damage taken like, boost her burst damage or something. But, she does nothing with it.. so why??

Dehya seems a bit terrible at the moment, maybe if the elemental ability was 1.5sec she could do more burg... 2.5 I see as something complicated, but beyond that I see so many problems. I hope that the beta testers give a good feed on dehya so that they do something for her, that it is not understood what role she wants to give hoyoverse

Just for now, I think I'll be using her with Bennet, Yelan and...honestly don't know who else. Try to get as much ER as I can to have uptime on the burst and try and have fun.
she's a defensive support imo. so, I don't expect her to deals a lot of dmg. yeahh, i would like to see her being a broken pyro sub dps tho, since we only have xiangling atm. let's hope mhy buffing her since it still on beta ^^
You misunderstand, she ain't defending anyone as it stands. You still need a healer because if your team takes half dmg enough times they still die without a way to recover. So you play 2 units with little dps contribution.
She just absorb little damage, barely deals damage and you need a healer It is better to use a shielder or a healer and two sup along youf dps instead of her one sup one healer and dps
This also kinda sucks for casuals because they tend to pull for characters that shows a lot of character and screentime- Dehya may or may not become strong by the time beta ends but being a complete messy unit as you've said would not sit well for these casuals who would not even be able to use her properly with her complicated rotations.
I have an idea of playing Dehya+Nahida+Kazuha burning team. The Dehya build focuses only on EM and HP, priotizing EM, with the lavawalker set which make her tankier against burning damage and dealing more pyro damage due to the 2 set and 4 set respectively. We've seen how op burning Nahida+Kazuha+Xiangling team is and I expect the similar playstyle.
Lol burning is the weakest dendro reaction by far. Why wouldnt you just make burgeon teams like the ones people use now? Burning is a gimmick reaction, nothing more. Also why would Dehya be good in that team when she's going to be doing less dmg than XL? Dehya is just a worse Thoma in any of those EM teams you're thinking of.
Has anyone tried Vermillion Hereafter on her? Honestly it sounds really good on paper. Especially if her skill gives her the attack boost from losing HP when she’s off field before she enters.

It would be one thing if she just had low damage numbers, that could easily be fixed by simply increasing said numbers, or adding hybrid scaling. But that's only part of the issue. Her E places down a field that improves interruption resistance, and shares damage. But then it also ticks every 2.5 seconds. If Pyro isn't there to deal damage, then it has no use from a supportive standpoint, unless it's to augment damage for another element such as Hydro or Cryo. But the problem with that, is now it applies Pyro too slowly, and doesn't last long enough to be of much use for setting up reverse melt and vape with the SOUL exception of Ganyu Melt. But as we saw, we already have several other ways to achieve this result. No one wants overload. As mentioned before, she could be a great reactor for Burgeon and burn. Problem here is, there is little point in building her for full EM just for Burgeon, because burning dies laughable damage as is. Just use Thoma or Xiangling at that point. Pyro reactions simply suck if the character isn't either applying Pyro REALLY fast off field, or if the character in question is on the field, and is a DPS. Why do you think Yanfe was the last Pyro character released until now? It's all just damage, and if they TRY to make Pyro supports, it either becomes a direct comparison to Bennet, or they flop like Xinyan. Now her Ult. If she was meant to be played as damage, then there is absolutely no feasible reason why she wouldnt be allowed to use rainswords wkth her ult. That just doesn't make a like of sense. Her Ult has zero synergy with her E, like at all, short of just having more interruption resist. And what is she going to do, share damage with herself? And even if they DID make it so her ult procc'd Xingqiu or Yelan Q, now her Stupid E is stealing reactions from her punches, so now it has ANTI-synergy if anything. And as the video pointed out, her knockback is obscene, she WILL knock opponents away from whatever set-up you got going on. Bennet Q, Diona Q, Rozaria Q, Oz (for some reason), Ganyu Q, Ayato Q. The only ults that would enable her to consistently perform melt/Vaporize either her punches are stationary aoe Effects that persist over a duration. Of course, no point in dealing damage with her anyways, because at the end of the day her numbers are abysmal in comparison to the likes of her 5 star Peers. Here's how the fix her: 1. Rework her E to actually act as a cage, so that enemies can be dragged in, but can't be knocked out, or they'll hit a type of wall. This will give her some unique utility that we don't have yet (outside of geo traveler Q). From a support angle, Pyro characters need SOMETHING that sets them apart from Bennet, because he just does everything. But NOW with something like this, we have direct synergy with Buff/damage zones. 2. Make her E reduce the damage Dehya takes if she's the one on the field (allthough that may already be an ascension passive if I remember correctly?) 3. Make rainswords and Yelan ult work with her Q. I mean come on. Seriously? 4. Improve her number all around, or add it hybrid HP scaling to her E. Or move her c1 constellation to an ascension passive. 5. Reduce knock-back on her ult.
Can you pls calculate the damage in a burgeon-fridge team? A hydro character (Barbara/Kokomi/Mona/Candace) with a cryo characters (Ganyu/Rosaria/Kaeya/Diona/Shenhe) and a dendro character (best would be Nahida). Fridge would generate more bloom cores than a normal bloom team (without Nilou) and her ICD pyro application is like Thoma’s. Meaning she would be perfectly trigger burgeon. And that’s why she absorbs dmg from team mates. I think this would be her best role. Paired with the Paradise Lost artifact set that increases burgeon dmg.
Ok here is all you need to know about burgeon. Enemies only take dmg from 2 core reactions at a time so you making 5 cores and blowing them up is the same as 2. The ICD on that is fairly short but reactions triggered at the same time fall within it. So whats the solution? Higher frequency of burgeon triggers. Core reactions fall under the entity clause of ICDs so your elemental application ICD does not matter for triggering hyperbloom or burgeon. This is why Raiden shogun is the best hyperbloom trigger. Every second you blow up your cores and deal 2 cores worth of dmg Raiden also has perfect uptime on her E needing to refresh every 25 seconds. Comparatively dehya burgeons every 2.5 seconds with severe downtime 12s on 20s cd. Thoma burgeons every second as well with much better uptime, he needs a bit of ER but with substats thats no issue and even with some sacrifices to ER like sands or kitain/fav dehya will never make up the difference in triggered seeds. Dehya is not a burgeon unit. People have spread this misinformation since she was first announced because they think every sumeru character is supposed to work with dendro so they will make her pyro nilou.
She seems to be a new tank type unit, since she can take hits for allies while off-field and restore her own hp - and increase interruption resistance. I think she is not meant for dps, but rather Hoyo's way of trying out a new defensive character. This may also be why she is being added to the standard banner - more premium and valuable characters that do something similar may release in the future. But that's just speculation But I needed a banner to save primogems on so that is ok to me
@@Lower_X Hm, you're right. Thinking about it though... we have 1. healers that only heal the on-field character and 2. shielders - maybe Dehya is meant to make both of those more viable? Your healer doesn't have to be as good of a healer if Dehya is also taking damage for your other characters. I imagine this is mostly meant for people who struggle with dying on abyss 12. In the case of shielders, maybe Deyha would take enough damage to make a healer not needed. Or maybe her damage sharing and Xingqui's damage reduction together would end up being enough combined, idk. Just some ideas - I probably won't have her for a long time myself, I still don't have Tighnari after all ^^'
they want her to be burgeon/burning specific so bad they'd rather make her kit and multipliers super shi* to prevent people from using her in a vape team once again. rather than coming up with an actual creative idea to incentivise burgeon/burning... nilou for example is super niche and her kit is also kind of stupid with its restrictions but at least it kind of makes sense and with her numbers it's actually fun to play her in the intended way (mihoyos way).
The only way I see dehya being worth is if they somehow rework her to be a 5 star version Thoma. Otherwise she’s just not really necessary for any team

Your video, music, voice, and total presentation made me feel down more than I first heard the news about Dehya in Beta. Thanks for this info. I have loved her ever since 3.0 announcement. I look forward to her more than Alhaitam. Now I got Alhaitam and easily made him strong just using Iron Sting or even other 4 star swords. But Dehya I could not find any available team comps, weapons, or artifacts on her. As if HYV makes her like a very difficult final exam to. You need to brainstorm just to figure out how to build her. Damn, I'm planning to team her up with Yelan and nahid well I guess I need to wait more.
the main issue here is her ascension stat being HP reinforces her role as support since she only benefits from being the tank, but then her entire kit is useless because it CLEARLY indicates to be a reaction damage support (like Raiden/Albedo) but she lacks the scalings for that and her burst is just a mess because if you build her in a supportive way it deals joke damage. especially because her main weapon indicates that she is supposed to be used as a tanky dps (crit rate substat, atk% boost after using E, additional atk% boost after getting hit and having a whooping 32% hp increase when not protected by a shield. so geo reactions fall out of the picture entirely.) but even if we take out her signature weapon there are so many indications that mihoyo somehow gave the wrong scalings in the wrong categories.

Her kit its insane, and not make any sense at all. Give party dmg reduction, ok i get it. But why dehya absord that dmg. Take look xinqiu dmg reduction , he doesnt lose any hp at all? Is make any sense if mihoyo wanted dehya to be off field tank. But she only give 50% dmg reduction, that mean we still need healer or shielder(not solve the problem). Also not like xinqiu, you can bring rainsword to where ever you want,doesnt have any range, and have long uptime.
Yess dudee, her skill timing line up with nahida's tri karma, every 2.5s, if it works like i imagine, it might be crazy, just use ganyu burst, and each icicle hit will trigger burn on enemy, while melting in process. AFK melt team rise up✊

I don't really understand where hoyo sees the problem in making her scaling fully HP% wise (with keeping in mind that her asc stat is HP%). They did that with Nilou, Yelan and even older characters such as Zhongli. If they want to keep asc stat they should make her scale with it. Not to mention that her C1 is a joke (imagine Zhongli's 2nd passive as a C1, not a passive), it should be her passive. Her skill should have longer duration and attack faster like in 1.5s or 2s intervals, not 2.5s. Now i don't know if i want to pull for hu tao or yelan now, or to pull for dehya which could result in nothing but regret that i got the Flame-Mane. I don't really know if Hoyo respond to the feedback before releasing certain character, but i hope they do. Dam, maybe i should just save my primos..
em isnt good in burning, since only dendro can trigger that reaction, not the pyro as for burgeon, even if it works, thoma is better, while dehya can trigger burgeon every 2.5 secs, thoma can do it every second I can only see dehya in mono pyro burning teams (Dehya + Dendro + pyro + anemo) since dehya will provide you survivability, but bennett can do the same while buffing and generating a lot of particles for xiangling im pretty sure she will get some improvements soon, she is really weak right now at c0

Indeed..a total split unlike other character like ayato,yae who still got dmg bonus from their hp and em even tho they scale with attck..but dehya,if u built hp,only one of her skill got benefit,and if u built attck,her ascension(hp) will be useless,and her offield pyro will heal the enemy...
She doesnt need EM, she doesn't need HP. Issue is she scales as if she needs HP so her atk scalings are all low. Her skill has massive downtime which is baffling Her burst somehow pauses her skill??? Why? Her burst takes a lot of field time and is therefor a dps loss in teams that want her for her intended playstyle. She sucks at reactions too btw.

So, from my understanding here, she's perfect for Burgeon in the same sense that Yae Miko is perfect for Hyperbloom, meaning, you don't actually have to build her for full EM but just normally with crit rate and crit damage. So, she is capable of vaping and burgeoning at the same time. Additionally, any damage you take from Burgeon will then be transferred to Dehya. Aight then, cool.
Her pyro application isn't quick enough. Thoma is a better option for burgeon teams, plus he's providing a pyro shield which negates the burgeon self damage.

As a Meltyu player who don't like Xiangling. I'm quite enthusiastic about Dehya. For now I Play Ganyu, Kazuha, Bennett and Zhongli, but I think replace Zhongli by Dehya will be better for general damage.
Apparantly the best way for ganyu to consistent hit melt on her CA now is nahida + any pyro char so you may try look into that (well that's if you have nahia)

When tighnari is better than her say a lot lol. They need to buff or change a bit cus I get why the skill multiplier is low cus she is pyro and can do melt or vaporize with her skill unlike albedo. But albedo skill has 100% uptime and clear patch to invest on like def%. Also going for burgeon like Thoma is still better cus his small shield still absorb the burgeon self dmg. I would love to see her like Raiden brust with albedo skill. It is still a bit copy from other characters but I think it still work better than what we got there. Hyv I swear if u mess her up

The thing is, her damage isn't really hybrid scaling. It's her ascension stats that confuse people. Her kit is supposed to scale from atk and cr/cd but her scaling is too low. Her ascension stat is hp but her hp is just for tanking the dmg taken by your team. She feels below average right now, but I hope hyv has better plans for her beta kit.

Cyno.. his power felt meh compared to Raiden and even Keqing without his weapon. His gameplay pressing E when the indicator shows was also boring to me. I did like his egyptian visuals though with the Anubis vibe.

You can pull any character you wish in Genshin since this game is braindead easy as a mobile game and it will never get more increasingly challenging endgame as stated by Hoyo. Dehya is my most hype character in sumeru even more than nahida. But they just have to destroy her by putting a mess up kit and not needed role. Her asc boost HP% but her dmg scale based on ATK and her multiplier is low as well. She basically can't play as dps or sub dps. She did have give dmg migitation but overall xingqiu dmg migitation even much better. The dps don't need to stick to one place and xingqiu gives heal as well. Even if u have dmg migitation but if u keep getting hit without having a heal u will eventually die. If u have to play focus dodge then it's much better to just not bring one anyway.

It's still beta at this point, and hopefully Hoyo would make an update on this one to buff her kit, or make her C1 viable or passive. It's like the same scenario of Alhaitham, people deemed him trash on beta and calling him /Dendro Keqing/ at first glance, but it got flipped the page after official release, and people liking him now.

However Dehya is already as weak as a 5 star can get and also her kit is straight poor design, as there's no place in the game atm for a 12 sec uptime and 20 CD for a minor damage and slow off-field. And why is there a 4 sec on-field ult with 18 CD on an off-field unit? She needs a complete uptime rework and at least +20% damage at this point, she's too lacking when usually beta characters release strong and THEN get nerfed, they are way more careful when buffing. We can expect only small-medium damage increases, but 99% sure she won't get what she needs to gain a purpose, they don't like touching CDs and durations too much. After all, she's passed many inside tests to even be released in beta, so mihoyo is already 90% commited to this version and just waiting for minor tweaks.
It's just sad how they butchered a hype character specially as Pyro is a very left out element this year and it would have made sense to release a cracked unit to give us a reason to run Burgeon but oh well. Guess we'll need to wait a year for another unit that actually buffs Burgeon and suddenly Dehya becomes a must pull like Kokomi, I don't like this kind of design

However, Dehya is bad period. No other character is making her better right now. The game will have to introduce a pyro version of Shenhe so that that new character can add their own multipliers on to her terrible scalings for a mono pyro team or something.
Key elements to have a good kit in genshin:
1. Be an archon
2. Be from Liyue or have a chinese name
3. Do not have a tan or different skin color

Her c1 does that in a way it increases dmg based off of a portion of hp I think it’s 8% now. And c1 increases her hp by 15%. Tbh think tenacity 4pc or 2 pc tenacity and crimson set would be alright for her. Nothing about her even her weapon tells me she wants to be an em focused character or even a burgeon character.

her 3 major problems that needed to be fixed imo
1. Make her talents scale on both ATK and that chunk of HP
2. Adjust her burst be viewed as NA move set, not burst move set. So her burst can proc XQ's, Yelan's burst.
3. Her burst should be able to receive ATK speed buff

Her burst isn’t like Raiden where you could freely attack during, it works more like Xiangling’s burst but instead of being able to swap out immediately, she’s forced to stay on field until it ends.
@@BarQ__ Dehya's burst isn't like Itto or Raiden. Raiden's burst deals burst DMG and uses NA,CA, PA move set so she can proc XQ/Yelan but can't proc Beido's. Meanwhile Itto's burst is infused NA, CA, PA to be Geo DMG and still NA, CA, PA move set, so his burst can proc all.
@Phi N in the reply is right, Dehya's burst is more like XL's than Raiden's. Dehya's burst is counted as both burst DMG and burst move set, also can't freely control like Raiden's burst. All you can do are aiming in general direction to punch enemies and press M1 at the right timing to speed up her punches.
Explaining Dehya's issues in my opinion
1. Her base HP is chunky yet her base ATK is low. However, her BiS weapon gives 40% ATK why ? and all Dehya's talents multiplier are ATK scaling.
2. Dehya's burst (might/STC) deals burst DMG as you can see she can utilize Emblem of Served Fate, and her burst uses burst move set. Therefore, Dehya can't proc XQ/Yelan/Beido, she can't proc none of their burst.
3. Her burst should be able to receive ATK speed buff, I mean...why not ?
She just like Xinyan in this state of the beta: Messy kit that isn't particulary good in anything and can easily be substituted by any other unit. Even if she has another future unit that can complement her I doubt she will be worth it due to her burst and E not being that powerful and having bad cooldowns

Sadly, due to her slow ticks, Dehya won't work with vape DPS Barbara. If she did I would certainly pull for her. I might pull for her anyway just 'cause I'm a simp, but I'm not sure yet. Her kit seems awful atm, but it will probably get changed before release.

Her E is confusing for a pyro character because you don't use that much if you have good shielder like Zhongli and Diona + Diona c6 give ally extra EM that could help Ganyu deal extra melt damage. She might helpfull for Burn with Nahida if you want to keep fire infusion long enough but we already have better perma burn team already.
Dehya is still in beta i'm sure she'll get better as time goes on it's the same with Al-Haitham we assume he's weak because of his nerf in beta only for him to be really strong in Dendro reactions when he's released
Alhaitham is dendro Childe, driver for broken element so he is by definition broken and as the game will progress and more characters will be added he will be more and more broken. Every off field sub dps or support is buff to driver characters with anemo, dendro or hydro element. Unlike Dehya, who can't be used as a pyro driver, that's why without redesigning her kit it's impossible for her to get better without making other pyro characters skyrocket. She is not Childe who miraculously gets better and better as more characters are released

The issue isn't EM scaling. In the end Raiden EM works wonderful as well... But Raiden is easy to use and versatile.
You need to be able to use her without sacrificing other things so investment to EM isn't lost.
Raiden also hits with electro every second while dehya hits pyro every 2.5 seconds so any amount of burgeon she will do is gonna be less than an actual good character.
Thoma with EM outclasses her in every way.
To resume. Her best weapon is the r5 aquamarine cause her best composition for now is the burgeon team full gilded ignoring both hp and attack?
I hope her skill will be like rosaria's burst with a lot of ticks. And her dmg will scale off of hp. In addition, depending on % of the dmg taken during the time that her skill is on the field, she'll get a burst dmg bonus. Ofc she will have to be in the circle for it to work. I also love her NA so i hope her skill is like chongyun. If not, at least make her dps-able.
This is honestly just comedy at this point.
And her first round of buffs/nerfs are already through so I don't expect any massive changes that she would sorely need.
They have a nice concept (a character that protects your team by taking damage itself), but they really have tons of work to do.
I´d suggest making her damage soaking mechanic way stronger, that way you don´t need a healer, and the damage taken/dealt while inside her zone gives her "charges" similar to Raiden, that improves by a lot her ult damage. That way she can work as an off field defensive support that can also deal big burst damage in a small window.
she needs to be as good as/better than hu tao. meaning she needs to be doing massive damage with those punches. otherwise, i wont even bother pulling for her. im at 66 pity, garunteed, and i have 19 wishes. if she ends up being bad, im skipping for sure

It's really sad to say, but 4-star pyro characters literally do what she does but better.
Bennet and Thoma are both already there to keep your group alive, with the former being able to also give insane attack buffs and the latter exceling in burgeon reactions.

I think Kokomi is very powerful since her first release but people misunderstood her kits and at that time, her banner was running on the same patch as the character who can does a million damage at c0. People just didn't realize how good she is for being a hydro catalyst healer.

She doesn't need to be built EM on a burning team. Dendro and Pyro hits change the output of burning dmg based on the owners EM but you need a lot more dendro application to keep burning applied.
Therefore you could build dehya straight ATK, HP, CRITS and have the dendro get 200 to 500 EM and chill. This is because burning is a state for further reactions-- especially overload spams from electro and melt spams from cryo. The biggest issue here would come from how small her skill AOE is, not her build.
I've only thought about it now but.. why is the damage mitigation only 50%?? I would understand if she did something with the damage taken like, boost her burst damage or something. But, she does nothing with it.. so why??

You misunderstand, she ain't defending anyone as it stands. You still need a healer because if your team takes half dmg enough times they still die without a way to recover.
So you play 2 units with little dps contribution.
She just absorb little damage, barely deals damage and you need a healer
It is better to use a shielder or a healer and two sup along youf dps instead of her one sup one healer and dps
This also kinda sucks for casuals because they tend to pull for characters that shows a lot of character and screentime- Dehya may or may not become strong by the time beta ends but being a complete messy unit as you've said would not sit well for these casuals who would not even be able to use her properly with her complicated rotations.

I have an idea of playing Dehya+Nahida+Kazuha burning team. The Dehya build focuses only on EM and HP, priotizing EM, with the lavawalker set which make her tankier against burning damage and dealing more pyro damage due to the 2 set and 4 set respectively. We've seen how op burning Nahida+Kazuha+Xiangling team is and I expect the similar playstyle.
Lol burning is the weakest dendro reaction by far. Why wouldnt you just make burgeon teams like the ones people use now? Burning is a gimmick reaction, nothing more. Also why would Dehya be good in that team when she's going to be doing less dmg than XL? Dehya is just a worse Thoma in any of those EM teams you're thinking of.
Has anyone tried Vermillion Hereafter on her? Honestly it sounds really good on paper. Especially if her skill gives her the attack boost from losing HP when she’s off field before she enters.

about the weapon well, r5 rainslasher is also better than wolfs gravestone for diluc on a vape comp, the bane passives are crazy good

Her HP scaling is locked behind her C1 atm. I hope they make this as her passive skill instead.
It would be one thing if she just had low damage numbers, that could easily be fixed by simply increasing said numbers, or adding hybrid scaling. But that's only part of the issue.
Her E places down a field that improves interruption resistance, and shares damage. But then it also ticks every 2.5 seconds. If Pyro isn't there to deal damage, then it has no use from a supportive standpoint, unless it's to augment damage for another element such as Hydro or Cryo. But the problem with that, is now it applies Pyro too slowly, and doesn't last long enough to be of much use for setting up reverse melt and vape with the SOUL exception of Ganyu Melt. But as we saw, we already have several other ways to achieve this result. No one wants overload. As mentioned before, she could be a great reactor for Burgeon and burn. Problem here is, there is little point in building her for full EM just for Burgeon, because burning dies laughable damage as is. Just use Thoma or Xiangling at that point. Pyro reactions simply suck if the character isn't either applying Pyro REALLY fast off field, or if the character in question is on the field, and is a DPS. Why do you think Yanfe was the last Pyro character released until now? It's all just damage, and if they TRY to make Pyro supports, it either becomes a direct comparison to Bennet, or they flop like Xinyan.
Now her Ult. If she was meant to be played as damage, then there is absolutely no feasible reason why she wouldnt be allowed to use rainswords wkth her ult. That just doesn't make a like of sense. Her Ult has zero synergy with her E, like at all, short of just having more interruption resist. And what is she going to do, share damage with herself? And even if they DID make it so her ult procc'd Xingqiu or Yelan Q, now her Stupid E is stealing reactions from her punches, so now it has ANTI-synergy if anything. And as the video pointed out, her knockback is obscene, she WILL knock opponents away from whatever set-up you got going on. Bennet Q, Diona Q, Rozaria Q, Oz (for some reason), Ganyu Q, Ayato Q. The only ults that would enable her to consistently perform melt/Vaporize either her punches are stationary aoe Effects that persist over a duration. Of course, no point in dealing damage with her anyways, because at the end of the day her numbers are abysmal in comparison to the likes of her 5 star Peers.
Here's how the fix her:
1. Rework her E to actually act as a cage, so that enemies can be dragged in, but can't be knocked out, or they'll hit a type of wall. This will give her some unique utility that we don't have yet (outside of geo traveler Q). From a support angle, Pyro characters need SOMETHING that sets them apart from Bennet, because he just does everything. But NOW with something like this, we have direct synergy with Buff/damage zones.
2. Make her E reduce the damage Dehya takes if she's the one on the field (allthough that may already be an ascension passive if I remember correctly?)
3. Make rainswords and Yelan ult work with her Q. I mean come on. Seriously?
4. Improve her number all around, or add it hybrid HP scaling to her E. Or move her c1 constellation to an ascension passive.
5. Reduce knock-back on her ult.
I'm getting her no matter what though. I don't really need another strong unit so I'm just going for characters I like

Can you pls calculate the damage in a burgeon-fridge team? A hydro character (Barbara/Kokomi/Mona/Candace) with a cryo characters (Ganyu/Rosaria/Kaeya/Diona/Shenhe) and a dendro character (best would be Nahida). Fridge would generate more bloom cores than a normal bloom team (without Nilou) and her ICD pyro application is like Thoma’s. Meaning she would be perfectly trigger burgeon. And that’s why she absorbs dmg from team mates. I think this would be her best role. Paired with the Paradise Lost artifact set that increases burgeon dmg.
Ok here is all you need to know about burgeon.
Enemies only take dmg from 2 core reactions at a time so you making 5 cores and blowing them up is the same as 2.
The ICD on that is fairly short but reactions triggered at the same time fall within it.
So whats the solution? Higher frequency of burgeon triggers.
Core reactions fall under the entity clause of ICDs so your elemental application ICD does not matter for triggering hyperbloom or burgeon.
This is why Raiden shogun is the best hyperbloom trigger.
Every second you blow up your cores and deal 2 cores worth of dmg Raiden also has perfect uptime on her E needing to refresh every 25 seconds.
Comparatively dehya burgeons every 2.5 seconds with severe downtime 12s on 20s cd.
Thoma burgeons every second as well with much better uptime, he needs a bit of ER but with substats thats no issue and even with some sacrifices to ER like sands or kitain/fav dehya will never make up the difference in triggered seeds.
Dehya is not a burgeon unit. People have spread this misinformation since she was first announced because they think every sumeru character is supposed to work with dendro so they will make her pyro nilou.
She seems to be a new tank type unit, since she can take hits for allies while off-field and restore her own hp - and increase interruption resistance. I think she is not meant for dps, but rather Hoyo's way of trying out a new defensive character.
This may also be why she is being added to the standard banner - more premium and valuable characters that do something similar may release in the future. But that's just speculation

@@Lower_X Hm, you're right. Thinking about it though... we have 1. healers that only heal the on-field character and 2. shielders - maybe Dehya is meant to make both of those more viable? Your healer doesn't have to be as good of a healer if Dehya is also taking damage for your other characters. I imagine this is mostly meant for people who struggle with dying on abyss 12. In the case of shielders, maybe Deyha would take enough damage to make a healer not needed. Or maybe her damage sharing and Xingqui's damage reduction together would end up being enough combined, idk. Just some ideas - I probably won't have her for a long time myself, I still don't have Tighnari after all ^^'
they want her to be burgeon/burning specific so bad they'd rather make her kit and multipliers super shi* to prevent people from using her in a vape team once again. rather than coming up with an actual creative idea to incentivise burgeon/burning...
nilou for example is super niche and her kit is also kind of stupid with its restrictions but at least it kind of makes sense and with her numbers it's actually fun to play her in the intended way (mihoyos way).
The only way I see dehya being worth is if they somehow rework her to be a 5 star version Thoma. Otherwise she’s just not really necessary for any team

Your video, music, voice, and total presentation made me feel down more than I first heard the news about Dehya in Beta. Thanks for this info. I have loved her ever since 3.0 announcement. I look forward to her more than Alhaitam. Now I got Alhaitam and easily made him strong just using Iron Sting or even other 4 star swords. But Dehya I could not find any available team comps, weapons, or artifacts on her. As if HYV makes her like a very difficult final exam to. You need to brainstorm just to figure out how to build her. Damn, I'm planning to team her up with Yelan and nahid well I guess I need to wait more.
What about Ganyu, Dehya, Bennet and Kazuha, for she can to some extent, replace Xiangling and Zhongli?

the main issue here is
her ascension stat being HP reinforces her role as support since she only benefits from being the tank, but then her entire kit is useless because it CLEARLY indicates to be a reaction damage support (like Raiden/Albedo) but she lacks the scalings for that and her burst is just a mess because if you build her in a supportive way it deals joke damage.
especially because her main weapon indicates that she is supposed to be used as a tanky dps (crit rate substat, atk% boost after using E, additional atk% boost after getting hit and having a whooping 32% hp increase when not protected by a shield. so geo reactions fall out of the picture entirely.)
but even if we take out her signature weapon there are so many indications that mihoyo somehow gave the wrong scalings in the wrong categories.
Imma keep on waiting but if her kit doesn't change before Yelan leaves, I'm either going to get yelan and her weapon or Pull for Eula and her Weapon

I don't really understand where hoyo sees the problem in making her scaling fully HP% wise (with keeping in mind that her asc stat is HP%). They did that with Nilou, Yelan and even older characters such as Zhongli. If they want to keep asc stat they should make her scale with it. Not to mention that her C1 is a joke (imagine Zhongli's 2nd passive as a C1, not a passive), it should be her passive. Her skill should have longer duration and attack faster like in 1.5s or 2s intervals, not 2.5s. Now i don't know if i want to pull for hu tao or yelan now, or to pull for dehya which could result in nothing but regret that i got the Flame-Mane. I don't really know if Hoyo respond to the feedback before releasing certain character, but i hope they do. Dam, maybe i should just save my primos..
em isnt good in burning, since only dendro can trigger that reaction, not the pyro
as for burgeon, even if it works, thoma is better, while dehya can trigger burgeon every 2.5 secs, thoma can do it every second
I can only see dehya in mono pyro burning teams (Dehya + Dendro + pyro + anemo) since dehya will provide you survivability, but bennett can do the same while buffing and generating a lot of particles for xiangling

Indeed..a total split unlike other character like ayato,yae who still got dmg bonus from their hp and em even tho they scale with attck..but dehya,if u built hp,only one of her skill got benefit,and if u built attck,her ascension(hp) will be useless,and her offield pyro will heal the enemy...

So, from my understanding here, she's perfect for Burgeon in the same sense that Yae Miko is perfect for Hyperbloom, meaning, you don't actually have to build her for full EM but just normally with crit rate and crit damage. So, she is capable of vaping and burgeoning at the same time. Additionally, any damage you take from Burgeon will then be transferred to Dehya. Aight then, cool.
Her pyro application isn't quick enough. Thoma is a better option for burgeon teams, plus he's providing a pyro shield which negates the burgeon self damage.

As a Meltyu player who don't like Xiangling. I'm quite enthusiastic about Dehya. For now I Play Ganyu, Kazuha, Bennett and Zhongli, but I think replace Zhongli by Dehya will be better for general damage.
