- This was just one of the several tornadoes that struck last night in the nocturnal tornado outbreak in Oklahoma (4/27/24) Blended my video and my brothers together to fully capture this strong tornado. #okwx #ardmore #tornado #nightimetornado #tornadoes #weather #oklahoma #FALCONWX
I live in Ardmore. The sirens had gone off already and most people were sheltered up before it hit. Three times the sirens went off. Nobody was hurt. It did leave the entire city without power from midnight till afternoon on Sunday. Our police, fire and emergency management were all over this. Ardmore is no stranger to tornado outbreaks. Inspite of any damage (unpreventable), when no one dies, your a success. Well done Ardmore.
Terrifying outbreak. My respect to the residents of Ardmore who recognized the imminent danger & behaved accordingly.
Good to hear. I live in Henryetta. I have a cousin that survived the Sulphure tornado by hiding in her closet. Her house with the rest of the town is destroyed.
Here I sit at home on Plainview Road still without power. Glad most of Ardmore came back on. Several homes were leveled in Plainview Estates from this very tornado.
I hate days like this past weekend. You know that it's coming, you just don't know when or where.
I liken it to hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house: I don't know who's all going to show up, and it might be a disaster, but we're still gonna have turkey. Lol!
Glad everyone in Ardmore was ok!
This is an awesome/terrifying video of a nighttime tornado. It's creepy how everything behind it is dark after losing power, but the glow of the area that hasn't been hit yet keeps it illuminated.
Well done!
I like to watch videos about tornadoes and storm chasers but I don't like seeing people suffer and lose everything, it's unfortunate. Greetings from Argentina!
nice catch...this is the 1st video ive seen of a tornado from saturday night
It never ceases to amaze me how people just keep driving around near a tornado like it's just another Tuesday or something. Must be kind of like how California locals barely even notice a magnitude 4 or 5 earthquake.
Just shows how many stupid people there are in this world. Oblivious to any and all danger.
My hazards will keep it away 😂
They can't see it duh
I’ve driven in many a storm. Enjoy it even. In such a situation one’s eyes are on the ROAD; And then what other drivers are doing. Never mind the rain on the windshield and glare at night.
They can't see it!
Prayers going out
Where the hell are the sirens
@jerryausten5273 Power was probably knocked out... probably why you didn't hear sirens.
Well you can see the towns main power is out, so.
Additionally, the sirens don't continuously sound. They operate on cycles, so they'll go off, go silent for a few minutes, and go off again until the warning has expired.
No power!
It’s amazing that none of the tornado footage from the last few days has sirens
Absolutely awesome visibility due to the cloud color variation. Very nice video.
You all sure get a lot of action with these spring time tornadic severe thunderstorms down that way!
What the hey hey?! People driving around like nothing is happening?! Sirens???!!!
Those are all stormchasers
There are sirens. They are hard to hear over the other sounds and the chaser's voice. They are definitely going.
There are probably sirens going off, but they can be hard to hear at times, especially if it's windy and pouring rain.
@@Cortney_Mikel Definitely the truth.
@@Cortney_Mikel You can hear them faintly in the vid from 0:28 to about 0:35.
Seeing a tornado is terrifying during the day, but they can come at night too!
How does anyone ever get any sleep? The horror!
You don't
i should have known the emergency system was working but yll do a excellent job on covering just be careful yll
Awesome Tornado 🌪 video 👍! By the way Ardmore Whiskey 🥃 is good 😂
In Bengal ( India) it is called loundu- boundu
Does anyone know the exact stop the tornado went thru on the west side . I use to live by budros ….. looked like that was near the hotel or one mile up near the softball fields
Was there damage there cuz I have family there.😮
That is EERIE!!!😰
are those headlights in the clouds or a reflection on your windshield?
Reflections.
No sirens.
There are sirens. They are hard to hear over the other sounds and the chaser's voice. They are definitely going. Listen closely around 0:28-0:35.
Tornado at night is scared
It couldn't have been that strong, cars went straight through it😊
A true monster. Terrifying
Im surprised that car where driving into it and out of it when it was passing you road
How many oh my gods do you need to say?
yep that one thing i noticed no sirens going off mmm
Sirens run for a while, then have to stop, or they will overheat and burn out.
And, the power may have been out in the section where sirens are.
Never depend on sirens, I mean never.
They have no back-up. If there is no power, that means, no sirens going off.
ahh i kinda figured that why but yll do this for a living and u got my deepest respect for that
There are sirens. They are hard to hear over the other sounds and the chaser's voice. They are definitely going. Listen closely around 0:28-0:33.
That’s my nightmare
Terrifying‼️‼️‼️
😢😢😢
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
at least you have sirens. our city said their upkeep was too expensive.
but our city is run by idiots.
Awsome where is the sirens really concerned that this city hasent got the m wheen they should
I'll repeat like I did above, the power could be out...they have to have power to operate.
And, sirens have to stop after a certain length of time, or they will heat up, and burn out.
There are no back-up generators to run sirens.
Never depend on sirens.
It's usually too late if they go off.
@@dalesmyth7398 oh sorry I didn't see it my apologies though I love tornado and what happends is incredible

You should turned it in before you video tape. Peoples lives depend on you. Isnt that why u do it?
I along with numerous other chasers and spotters reported it.
Quit screaming. Call the authorities and report it. And quit screaming.
Authorities?
So, you are paying cops, mayors, fireman, city workers, etc. salaries thru taxes right?
They work for the citizen.
So, how are they an authority? I've never understood that.
They do what they are paid to do.
Its moving NORTH!!!
I reported it to NWS Norman before I filmed.
“Somebody needs to call this in. You know, on a phone, like mine that’s filming this tornado. No, it won’t be me calling it in. I need to film it! Let someone else in the path of destruction call it in.”
I submitted a social media report before I began filming. It was called in and reported by other chasers.
