What an incredible life he has had
WWII pilots, of all nations, were "Supermen" in terms of superior health & longevity! I'm 78 & was born just after
the end of the War & can't believe that these men, that I remember in their twenties, have now reached the Century
mark! We will never see the likes of them, again!
Thank you for your sacrifice god bless your soul
This man’s memory is amazing!!!!!
Thank you for your service Sir
I had a few relatives serve in WWII. So many brave young men, risking it all for country and democracy. A brave generation of heroes.
After the war Lt. General continued to fly in Canada. Based upon his observations he promoted a plan called the Mid-Canada Corridor to develop sub-arctic Canada. It had support from businesses, but not from the government. It is a brilliant plan.
The greatest generation. We owe them everything!
Aye. Eternal gratitude for Canada's WW2 HEROES #RESPECT
What about the WW1 generation?
Sadly to many wars to count except to say thanks to all for your service @@lyndoncmp5751
TY for your service brave sir !!! Men of your era were a special kind of people that we all need to aspire to be more like. Without you and other men like you our freedom surely would have been taken. God bless you.
He's a novelist. Like a Canadian Tom Clancy. I read his books when I was a kid.
What books?
Respect, Sir.
Eternal gratitude for Canada's WW2 HEROES #RESPECT
The facts that come to the surface after time.
Wat an interesting, articulate gentleman ❤.
Thank you for the freedom Sir, Cheers!
Glad to see General Rohmer is still with us. But hey, let's not forget our heroes of the 1st & 5th Canadian Divisions & 1st Canadian armoured brigade who were fighting & dying, opening the road to Rome @ the same time.
God Bless you all! X🙏🏴🇮🇪🙏❤️🙋🫡

General Rohmer is a national treasure. Thank you, Sir, for your devotion to Canada.
Thank you 🇨🇦💫🇳🇱
Dad was in one of the gliders landed nr ranville
Thank you ❤
Thank you for your service!
The USS Texas is almost finished with her restoration. Perhaps some time in the future, she can sail back to where she fought alongside those who stormed the beaches? It would be a grand thing to put her on a global tour.
To me, it seems inappropriate to not have a ceremony on her deck for any WWII ceremony, for she served in the Mexico blockage, then served the ending of WWI, then fought in every theater of war in WWII and was wounded/damaged in combat. She even flooded herself to fire further than she was designed to fire, to aid in the push inland.
Come on news teams, Texas was there for you, now you do what's fitting and be there for her.
Amazing story..! ❤
That's _Lt. General_ Richard Rohmer to you folks.
I had a great chat with him a few years ago. A truly kind gentleman.
@@MrRobster1234 He looks every bit of it.
Telly loves you all.
Thank you Canada 🇨🇦❤.
sad to have served and sacrificed only to see what has become of the world today
Younger generations don’t respect the huge sacrifices made for their freedom. The saying Never Again was known in time to be ignored and war will repeat. The youth with all their freedoms never fought for any of it. They are allowing their freedoms to fade away and their children will fight and die to restore it, if they are successful.
stop whining
@@kornalbabua2000 you’re doing the whining. Got nothing better to do than criticize other people’s comments loser?
Less than one generation, back at it again.
thank you mister Rohmer
Surprisingly, his voice cord isn't degraded like his peers in US. Is that a Canadian privilege?
Juno Beach yes?😊

I was hoping to hear how this 100 year old Hero felt about our Canadian Chaplains not being able to evoke God
in their prayers for our dead heroes on Remembrance Day 2023. That might be controversial.
Thank you Soldier. My Grandpa was there on the beach too. Live long and tell the stories the National Post won't ask you about.
Amen!
The Vets uniform is brand new, not WW2 at all!!!
let hin know in case he forgot russia ron the second world war.england and united states were bit players

WWII was 80 years ago - nothing has changed so get over it and move on with your life people!
We should always remember the past and try to do better.
Do you enjoy your life now? If you do, be thankful and remember these events and people.
Ungrateful fools like you is why history always repeats itself. Learn and remember the past.
attention seeking @sshole...get some help.
What a horrible thing to write. This one of the most important events in world history! NEVER to be forgotten!
You’re lucky these men fought for our freedom!
Otherwise you would be speaking German and pledging allegiance to the memory of Hitler and the Nazis.
