@@isbieiskandar9460 even if they are not fed live prey, carnivores in modern are still encouraged to forage on their own as part of the enviornmental enrichment programme.
They certainly don't lose the hunting instinct, as they will gladly kill every small animal entering their enclosure

As Indonesian we failed keeping our 3 subspecies alive and only sumatran tiger is surviving.

sometimes i feel they better live in cavity rather than live in wild.
No people who kill tigers and cut down the forest for selfish reasons should be held in captivity. Burning down the forest to make palm oil plantations.

The colonizer (the Dutch) was responsible of the extinction of 2 other sub species.

It is nice to see a Sumatran tiger. Pretty, big and beautiful tiger. I hope Anala would go through any type of challenge. I am happy to see she is not captivated in a small cruel prison. She is hearing her keeper- this means she was raised with love and care. She is made to confront challenges and the nature.

Well, the Sumatran tiger is still a 300+ lbs cat, in the case of males. It's a BIG kitty.
For comparison, though - male Siberian tigers can reach more than DOUBLE that weight!
They may not look small but they are still the smallest out of all the tiger species and they also are more bearded and maned compared to the others having the narrowest stripes which help them blend into their native environment making a great adaptation. As with all tigers though no matter which they are their stripes are unique to them no 2 patterns are the same and they run skin deep. These patterns are often the easiest way to tell one individual from another much the same as our finger prints.

So glad to see zoos are trying to make animals entertained. There are countless of research papers that indicate the importance of such things in zoo animals.
It’s called enrichment. I’ve seen videos of big cats playing in boxes and rubbing their faces in perfumes and different smells.
All animals in human care benefit from environmental enrichment. Sadly, plenty of pet owners don't realize it

No they should be extict because they are cowards, they run from fights. That sloth beat tiger and the tiger ran to the water. Such weak animals those useless muscles should have been given to the king of the jungle. Male lion never runs from any meat eating animal. Even kills hyena and a hyena is bigger than sloth bear but male lions kills it. But tiger ran away from sloth bear. Thats why people hate tigers it's because they always run from fights. I hate tigers so much i wish they could be extinct

Well, I have never saw any species of Tiger except for Bengal Tigers. I have read much about other Tigers and Sumatran Tiger was one of the greatest. They are critically endangered cat. These beautiful beasts are now in danger. It feels quite happy to see them enjoying. Hope they don't get extinct.

Right ?!! She’s gorgeous and I love her stripe pattern which to me looks like they’ve been delicately brushed on. They’re also as unique as Anala herself with no other Sumatran tiger having the same pattern she does just like our fingerprints,they run skin deep as well.🐅❤️

Such beautiful animals. Without the help of zoos, it's highly likely the only way we could see animals like the Sumatran Tiger would be in photos and videos of the past. The species would likely be gone. Our animal friends are battling every kind of existential threat we can imagine, from poaching to human induced climate change. The human being has a lot to answer for when it comes to mass extinctions. Over the past 500 years or so we have successfully wiped out so many species of both flora and fauna. Without many animals, fish and insects, our own existence would be on the block.
I dread the day we are capable of long distance space travel, because yes, I do think there is life on other planets, even if it's not super intelligent aliens, there will be life out there. When the human being arrives, that life will be snuffed out in a cloud of fumes, pollution and deliberate destruction. It's like we just can't help ourselves.

Show me a video where male lion runs from any carnivore. Never!!!! Male lion never runs from any meat eating animal. It would run from lot of hyenas because they are many but theres a video where hyenas run away from male lion. The king and his brave heart will fight till his death unlike useless scaredy cat tiger who ran from a sloth bear

We learnt about how their homes are being destroyed and had to make speeches about it at school last year.
I think it’s about 8 football fields worth of hectares of their jungle is cut down every hour. So sad.

Sumatran Tiger is the smallest species of the tiger. So I believe one person has a chance to beat it.
