Easter Trains at the Border (WCML) - Easter 2024

Welcome to this latest video ‘Easter Trains at the Border’ which was filmed at Easter 2024. The running time is 25 minutes 35 seconds.
I spent several days filming trains at locations on both sides of the England / Scotland border on the West Coast Main. Locations included Qunitinshill, Bensmoor Wood, Gretna Green, and Springfield on the Scottish side of the border. Locations on the English side of the border included Floriston, and Metal Bridge, while Gretna Junction and Millhill are on the border itself.
The video features a variety of rolling stock including Nuclear Flasks, Royal Mail EMU’s, Engineer Trains, Petroleum and Tesco trains, along with a number of passenger services from operators including Avanti West Coast, Trans Pennine, and Scot Rail.
Classes featured in the video include 66, 68, 70, 88, 156, 325, 390 and 397.
Also featured is West Coast Railways Class 47 locomotive 47245 (VE Day 75th Anniversary) working 0Z47 from Carnforth Steamtown to Perth.
