    Watching regionals now. With new bat rules it’s sad how we never see homeruns anymore. Always come back to this video it’s electric

    This brings back alota memories. Wish they had this when I played for Canada back in 2003. Golfed a ball to the centre against USA west straight over the fence. One of my most proudest little league moments.

    13:24 Epic game. 9 innings and won on a walk off. That game was a total pitchers duel, even into the bullpen. So good.

    Neat. I am a Little league umpire and I've only seen a handful of LL homers in person....that is, home runs that clear the fence as opposed to the ball that goes sixty feet from home plate and is repeatedly thrown around by the infielders.

  • @maddybutyoutube

    Ok so where I'm from the fields were like this
    5-10: small diamond like this field
    Small barrel
    11-13: Intermediate diamond, 70 foot bases, 50 foot mound, Big Barrel BESR
    >14: Big diamond, BBCOR
    I think this setup is better because kids can adjust to the the different field and bats

  • @lukebogartmix
    @lukebogartmix 9 лет назад +6

    It's not just the fence's fault. It's the bat more than anything. Youth bats are incredibly hot and set up horribly for when kids have to go into high school. When they switch from a 31/21 Little League or Big Barrel bat to a proper BBCOR, they won't hit the balls anywhere. Because it's so easy to hit with these bats, coaches and players end up not caring about mechanics at all, and just throw their hands out at the ball like an idiot and still end up hitting home runs. Hell, even Freshmen I'm seeing won't be able to hit the ball over this fence using a BBCOR bat. By around 11 or 12, the 1.15 BPF bats should be illegal, and something that's in between that and BBCOR bats should be developed and used instead, BESR bats make a good fit for this, but maybe in a drop 5 version.

    • @joedirt341
      @joedirt341 9 лет назад +2

      Totally agree. I hit my first homer with the Easton 2012 XL1. I had never used a composite bat before, and I noticed right away the ball flew off the bat way to easy. It takes a low amount of skill to actually get a decent hit with the youth bats manufactured today.

    • @joedirt341
      @joedirt341 9 лет назад +2

      I'm not saying the the kids playing in the LLWS today are not talented, they are. I'm just saying the bats are way overpowered.

    • @CamsGames1
      @CamsGames1 9 лет назад +2

      FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES!!! When I moved up to high school, my on-base percentage dropped a lot, just because with bbcor bats there is a much smaller sweet spot. They should really consider using at least drop 5 bats for the years before high school.

    all the people whining about the field size. its about connecting and its all relative. your team has to bring the best mix of field, pitch, hit and run. bitching about the field doesnt change any of that. your team still has to win. lots of eyes and pressure.

      I think people on here fail to realize the speed these kids are throwing from a 46ft mound. 70-75mph is crazy..they are the best of the best at their age group..go to any local little league and watch 10-12 yr old division and they are throwing 40mph max lol and these kids are throwing 35 mph faster almost double..watching llws is better than watching mlb

      alg1124 some of these pitches were barely at 60 mph and where i play its a 13u team our field is 260 left and right field then 300 center and we pitch from 54 ft. this year we are most likely going to the LLWS and that will be a serious downgrade if we play on those small ass fields.

    @35:56 He like waved at it. I know Easton bats, and they don't just EXPLODE the ball over the fence every 2 at bats. They must have those bats like Corked or like specially popped up so everyone can think they have a chance to make an MLB Team...

      He might have been saying he was next, I think he actually connected a HR on that game as well, LLWS is more like a HR derby. Still fun to watch.

      what?, I think he was saying he was next and was greeting the other player, the reason i think he said he was next is because they are giving their best. I love Little League sportsmanship.
