This brings back alota memories. Wish they had this when I played for Canada back in 2003. Golfed a ball to the centre against USA west straight over the fence. One of my most proudest little league moments.
Neat. I am a Little league umpire and I've only seen a handful of LL homers in person....that is, home runs that clear the fence as opposed to the ball that goes sixty feet from home plate and is repeatedly thrown around by the infielders.
How many homers the teams had (most to least) Tennessee - 14 Japan - 13 California - 12 Mexico - 11 New Jersey - 5 Panama - 5 Texas - 4 Connecticut - 3 Curaçao - 3 Chinese Taipei - 2 Canada - 1 Indiana - 1 Nebraska - 1 Uganda - 1 Germany - none Oregon - none
Kaiden Mullen i mean i credit the kids for having skill and stuff i understand shit gets real under presure, Im just saying most of these kids you can see give a half ass swing and the ball go over the fence.
Why would they get rid of the electric bats like that, it made Llws more fun to watch, now with the dead bats, with home runs being rear, it’s not the same anymore
To be fair, the bats used that year were fucking outrageous, too big of barrel, they have slim down the barrel of bats used for the world series years since
Ok so where I'm from the fields were like this 5-10: small diamond like this field Small barrel 11-13: Intermediate diamond, 70 foot bases, 50 foot mound, Big Barrel BESR >14: Big diamond, BBCOR I think this setup is better because kids can adjust to the the different field and bats
It's not just the fence's fault. It's the bat more than anything. Youth bats are incredibly hot and set up horribly for when kids have to go into high school. When they switch from a 31/21 Little League or Big Barrel bat to a proper BBCOR, they won't hit the balls anywhere. Because it's so easy to hit with these bats, coaches and players end up not caring about mechanics at all, and just throw their hands out at the ball like an idiot and still end up hitting home runs. Hell, even Freshmen I'm seeing won't be able to hit the ball over this fence using a BBCOR bat. By around 11 or 12, the 1.15 BPF bats should be illegal, and something that's in between that and BBCOR bats should be developed and used instead, BESR bats make a good fit for this, but maybe in a drop 5 version.
Totally agree. I hit my first homer with the Easton 2012 XL1. I had never used a composite bat before, and I noticed right away the ball flew off the bat way to easy. It takes a low amount of skill to actually get a decent hit with the youth bats manufactured today.
FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES!!! When I moved up to high school, my on-base percentage dropped a lot, just because with bbcor bats there is a much smaller sweet spot. They should really consider using at least drop 5 bats for the years before high school.
These fields are big at all, no leading, stealing before the ball reaches the plate. Our field are alot bigger, i dont know the exact size but the shorter HRs are hitting the fence.
When I played dizzy dean the fences when I was 12 were regulation at least 250 all the way around and I was hitting bombs on some of the 300 ones now high school is 320 down the lines and 400 to center still dropping bombs as a freshman
I love how I see so many people being like field is to small. Well for kids pitching from that close is like hitting a 80+ fastball or breaking ball. And some leagues play in bigger fields so the pitching is slower and easier to hit
When I was 12 we were playing on 300ft fences. Most of these are standard popups with the occasional bomb. They should move the fence back another 25 feet at least.
all the people whining about the field size. its about connecting and its all relative. your team has to bring the best mix of field, pitch, hit and run. bitching about the field doesnt change any of that. your team still has to win. lots of eyes and pressure.
I think people on here fail to realize the speed these kids are throwing from a 46ft mound. 70-75mph is crazy..they are the best of the best at their age group..go to any local little league and watch 10-12 yr old division and they are throwing 40mph max lol and these kids are throwing 35 mph faster almost double..watching llws is better than watching mlb
alg1124 some of these pitches were barely at 60 mph and where i play its a 13u team our field is 260 left and right field then 300 center and we pitch from 54 ft. this year we are most likely going to the LLWS and that will be a serious downgrade if we play on those small ass fields.
You actually have no idea how true this is. I hit a 2 RBI triple in a 14u showcase tournament last weekend to get in the go ahead run and all I got was a couple of claps. ):
That's not even fair, their using like -11 bats, and the fences are like 225 I'm 12 and I use a -5 bat and my fences are 300 and I hit it out, plus the mound is like 45 feet.
@35:56 He like waved at it. I know Easton bats, and they don't just EXPLODE the ball over the fence every 2 at bats. They must have those bats like Corked or like specially popped up so everyone can think they have a chance to make an MLB Team...
what?, I think he was saying he was next and was greeting the other player, the reason i think he said he was next is because they are giving their best. I love Little League sportsmanship.
Watching regionals now. With new bat rules it’s sad how we never see homeruns anymore. Always come back to this video it’s electric
This brings back alota memories. Wish they had this when I played for Canada back in 2003. Golfed a ball to the centre against USA west straight over the fence. One of my most proudest little league moments.
4:16 that looks like some horror movie stuff
13:24 Epic game. 9 innings and won on a walk off. That game was a total pitchers duel, even into the bullpen. So good.
Crazy how much a difference the USA bats have changed hitting this is 51 mins the 2019 one is only ten
I keep on watching these llws videos every day until the 2016 llws games start. :)
Neat. I am a Little league umpire and I've only seen a handful of LL homers in person....that is, home runs that clear the fence as opposed to the ball that goes sixty feet from home plate and is repeatedly thrown around by the infielders.
I really like the sportsmanship all the teams show
How many homers the teams had (most to least)
Tennessee - 14
Japan - 13
California - 12
Mexico - 11
New Jersey - 5
Panama - 5
Texas - 4
Connecticut - 3
Curaçao - 3
Chinese Taipei - 2
Canada - 1
Indiana - 1
Nebraska - 1
Uganda - 1
Germany - none
Oregon - none
Notice how almost everyone is using an Easton 😂😂
Easton sponsors the tournament and gives each player a bat, helmet, cleats, batting gloves, etc
Zechariah Griffin yeah
and Demarini bats
Since easton sponsors the tourney, the kids gets to use the their bats that are about to come out the next year
Half these homeruns are literally all Bat pop. Most These kids didnt even finish their swing, but some of them are great hits
Kaiden Mullen i mean i credit the kids for having skill and stuff i understand shit gets real under presure, Im just saying most of these kids you can see give a half ass swing and the ball go over the fence.
Kaiden Mullen I mean Life is gonna hit them one way or another, no avoiding it,
Kaiden Mullen pretty much,
So true
Lol Shut Up Like you Could Even Come Close to these Kids.
2012 llws was the best change my mind
It’s my favorite year of the LLWS.
8:11 holy shit that's a grown man
BRING BACK THESE BATS!!!!
Stop hating on these kids. I doubt any of y'all could do better. I already know that I can't.
Iman Wehelie I could
move the fence 50ft forward dingers for days!!!!
1:04 thats why i like baseball, lots of sportsmanship
I love how wegener only has a 5 second clip
Why would they get rid of the electric bats like that, it made Llws more fun to watch, now with the dead bats, with home runs being rear, it’s not the same anymore
To be fair, the bats used that year were fucking outrageous, too big of barrel, they have slim down the barrel of bats used for the world series years since
This almost looks like a video for easton. Almost all are in the XL series.
I'm watching this in 2017 and I realized it was really old when a couple people said their favorite player was Derek Jeter
Especially when one or two players said their favorite player was David Ortiz.
Nothing like the tink of loaded bats.
I’m watching this in 2020 thinking how imma be bc I got singed up for this little league 💪
There was me thinking home runs we'rent very common in real life.
Ok so where I'm from the fields were like this
5-10: small diamond like this field
Small barrel
11-13: Intermediate diamond, 70 foot bases, 50 foot mound, Big Barrel BESR
>14: Big diamond, BBCOR
I think this setup is better because kids can adjust to the the different field and bats
6:24 wait now there are foot-jobs... 0.0
Hahahahahhahah
Wow!,that's a lot of home runs.
These kids are amazing
Greatest sound ever
People always saw that the fences are too short but most little leaguers are not this big these are the best if the best
I would say the fences were short though there were a few balls that were good and hard line drives that just were able to get over
I'm scratching my head if why these are half ass swings but it still goes over the fence?!?!?!
luv dis vid
where i live, we have 5 diamonds, 3 are close together theres a 222ft, a 244 and a 266 then we have another 244 and then a 325
It's not just the fence's fault. It's the bat more than anything. Youth bats are incredibly hot and set up horribly for when kids have to go into high school. I'm not saying the the kids playing in the LLWS today are not talented, they are. I'm just saying the bats are way overpowered.
FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES!!! When I moved up to high school, my on-base percentage dropped a lot, just because with bbcor bats there is a much smaller sweet spot. They should really consider using at least drop 5 bats for the years before high school.
I use a 32 24 and I'm 12 is that bad
I'd start using a BBCOR by 8th grade, you're fine for now.
It's sportsmanship
Amazing sportsmanship @ 1:03
sweetness
Watched the whole thing
Can you show the Home runs for the LLWS 2013
These fields are big at all, no leading, stealing before the ball reaches the plate. Our field are alot bigger, i dont know the exact size but the shorter HRs are hitting the fence.
When are they going to move the fences back?
I was playing for Texas this year
In middle school baseball we play 60-90 fields with 325 ft fences with bbcor bats.
14:42 what kind of pitching form is that same goes on 14:43
nice video glad u changed ur picture
cant wait for 13 highlights!
These kids are crushing the ball
Can you do more llws videos, thanks. + 2012+2013 would be the best!
Move the fences back 50 ft
Kaiden Mullen 225 ft currently is still too small. make it 300 feet. 275 is still to easy.
Kaiden Mullen what are you talking about they hit HRs past the bushes
they should move it to 250 ft. hb that?
how old are these kids
Kaiden Mullen 11 12 13 14
When I was 12 playing for a baseball team The fences used to be about 250-260 feet
Mine are 275 with -10 bats
how come the bats sound different because i have an xl1 and it sounds like 3/4 instead of more composite
When I played dizzy dean the fences when I was 12 were regulation at least 250 all the way around and I was hitting bombs on some of the 300 ones now high school is 320 down the lines and 400 to center still dropping bombs as a freshman
my high school field is 395 to the corners and 425 mid corners and 420 dead center...
I love how I see so many people being like field is to small. Well for kids pitching from that close is like hitting a 80+ fastball or breaking ball. And some leagues play in bigger fields so the pitching is slower and easier to hit
Are you going to make 2013 llws videos
Can you please upload Chinese Taipei and Japan's games? Thanks so much!!!
They should move the fences back like 20 feet and make the bases like 10 ft farther away.
That bat pop tho it sounds the same and 400TH COMMENT BABY!!!!!!!!!
when you can half swing and hit a homerun.....move the damn fences back
When I was 12 we were playing on 300ft fences. Most of these are standard popups with the occasional bomb. They should move the fence back another 25 feet at least.
If fences were farther bases would have to be longer too so it's not just a bunch of extra base hits
You are right, they cant steal until the ball passes the plate, they cant lead. Mine was alot bigger:
Are you going to do this world series? PLEASE?
I like how its this huge deal when the fences are like 200. When I play I play on a legit 90 foot diamond and 300+ foot fences and hit homer runs.
225
So I should probably use more yellow bats?
14:44 you can breack your shoulder pitching sidearm
Little League is grades 4TH through 7th, however it is rare that there are any 4th or 5th graders
No it's 5th through 7th grades 4th graders are the rarest
u should make one from 2013 llws
At 47:43 he has my last name but is not related to me
Are you going to do 2014
all the people whining about the field size. its about connecting and its all relative. your team has to bring the best mix of field, pitch, hit and run. bitching about the field doesnt change any of that. your team still has to win. lots of eyes and pressure.
I think people on here fail to realize the speed these kids are throwing from a 46ft mound. 70-75mph is crazy..they are the best of the best at their age group..go to any local little league and watch 10-12 yr old division and they are throwing 40mph max lol and these kids are throwing 35 mph faster almost double..watching llws is better than watching mlb
alg1124 I throw 73, travel ball
alg1124 some of these pitches were barely at 60 mph and where i play its a 13u team our field is 260 left and right field then 300 center and we pitch from 54 ft. this year we are most likely going to the LLWS and that will be a serious downgrade if we play on those small ass fields.
They don't even put good swings on the pitches, but they still leave the yard #225feet.
I'm surprised I didn't See Cody Schroeder from Desoto
I played football against him and he is so big and powerful
I was so happy for that Uganda player!
They should move the fences back again. 225 feet is nothing with an aluminum bat.
Kari2025 ikr I play on 300+ ft fences
*bonk* "goes 226 ft" ANd ThE CrOWd GOeS CRazY!!!!
'At 18u tournament' *hits 380 ft walkoff grand slam to win the tournament* "finger claps"
You actually have no idea how true this is. I hit a 2 RBI triple in a 14u showcase tournament last weekend to get in the go ahead run and all I got was a couple of claps. ):
+üsuurr at a 16u tournament some kid robbed my Homerun and I could've sworn a golf game was louder than the place where I played
+üsuurr it shouldn't really matter if you get a lot of claps or cheers, but that you feel that you did good for your team.
Max George i know, that's what it's about anyway! :D
NoNeedToBeUpset But this is the WORLD SERIES
23:36 when you don't own a can opener
those fences are 250ft ive hit home runs over our fence in center at 379 and ive hit a walk off grand slam on a 340 fence
How old are you
13
i also play for an elite travel team tho
How tall are u and how much u way
5 11 156
Our fences are 300ft from the plate
why did you delete cole tomei's highlight video
Where are the dingers Australia we need to hit some
Lorenzo needs to come to MLB and get drafted by the Seattle Mariners.
Once I hit a homer about 205 feet in the first inning and im only in AAA fall ball and it was my first
Gary Thorne announced the Baltimore Orioles and Little League World Series?
Home Runs? all I see are popups in highschool
***** Yeah,True
AJ808 yep thats true
AJ808 and what were you doing when you were 12 years old?
Playing baseball
AJ808 ABOUT A WEEK AGO
Why isn't there a us game at volunteer anymore
God I love Gary Thorne
Ryan Lyle has one of the biggest heads ive ever seen
Where do u get the footage
180 in the corners and 200 in center field
That's not even fair, their using like -11 bats, and the fences are like 225 I'm 12 and I use a -5 bat and my fences are 300 and I hit it out, plus the mound is like 45 feet.
No mound can be shorter than 46 for LL dumbass, most of the kids hit the ball over the second fence which is at least 30 feet behind the fence lol
Patrick B yea u are kinda dumb lol
Has anyone noticed that kotaro kyomia pitches right handed and bats left handed?
Well, that's pretty common. I'm a switch hitter and pitch right.
I throw right and bat left
LLWS Back Up!
Have all of you noticed that all the kids were using composite bats.
Yeah. They only need to tap the ball, and kids with good swings (Very Few) crush the ball
They should move the fences back to 300 feet seriously. These kids hit pop ups and they go out. It's too easy for them
where do you sign up in NEVADA
Well first buddy you need to make sure you're one of the best players in Nevada.
u have to play little league
@35:56 He like waved at it. I know Easton bats, and they don't just EXPLODE the ball over the fence every 2 at bats. They must have those bats like Corked or like specially popped up so everyone can think they have a chance to make an MLB Team...
DJ Pico on New Jersey hit a home run with a swing that shouldn’t give you a home run.
at 1:04 why would the 3rd baseman high five him?
He might have been saying he was next, I think he actually connected a HR on that game as well, LLWS is more like a HR derby. Still fun to watch.
Because that is sportsmanship which Little League is all about. To bad you think otherwise.
what?, I think he was saying he was next and was greeting the other player, the reason i think he said he was next is because they are giving their best. I love Little League sportsmanship.
Sportsmanship dude
What if they took little leauge independent then cal Ripken and had one mega champion ship
i play in league were they have the same rules except u cant use a 32in or bigger bat
14:44 what is that pitching stance
