That mitt slap by M. Iakopo, the UT catcher, is bush league. It looks like she's doing it distract the OU batters. Kinzie Hansen does NOT do that.
If it was too district the hitters it clearly doesn’t work 😂😂 catchers are gonna have to try harder than that to throw off OU batters haha
It's not designed to distract hitters. If anything it helps them know when the pitcher is ready. Totally silly to assume it's distracting.

You know one thing I hate about commentators at the college and pro levels? They don't commentate on the _obvious_ . Like, WTF was happening at 2:30:43, who was that guy being held back from? Even if they didn't know (which they probably didn't), it just feels unnatural to stay silent. If this were high school, one of the commentators would've said something, "oh, what's going on here?" Or simply, "whoa." See, it's not even that I'm looking for them to have an explanation that they don't have, but don't make me feel like I'm the "only one seeing this" by not acknowledging what's happening.
So, do any of y'all know what that was about?
Simply looks like a sore loser. Nobody wants to entertain and/or broadcast that kind of poor sportsmanship conduct. I get what you're saying but this level, nobody's got time for those childish attitudes.

I googled it. The assistant coach was upset that the ball ruled as homerun by Mia Scott of Texas wasn't returned to the team. It's tradition for the players families to get homerun balls.

At 41:00 it shows that the runner at first touched the base first but if you keep watching and look closely the first base person stays on the base when the base runner wasn’t touching the base
I think because it is first base you don’t have to stay on the bag once you touch it just like if you were to run through the bag.
I just noticed after watching this game too many times, top 5th, 1st pitch to Coleman pushed her off plate and from Scott and Czech’s reaction, it looked a little intentional??? 🤷🏻♀️
