Want to know how to change the hoop size in Embrilliance Essentials and EmbroideryWorks? Or how to make make the hoop visible if you've lost it? What does the hoop do anyway?
In this video, I'll show you how to change the hoop size in Embrilliance. The same process works for EmbroideryWorks.
Having a hoop reference is a great feature and it's important to understand that the hoop that you see in Embrilliance is just a visual reference. In other words, it does nothing to affect your ability to save a design that's either bigger than the visible hoop or say, a different format from the hoop you selected.
Another thing to know is that the hoop preference is not saved with a design file. In other words, If I save my Love to Sew design with a 100x100 hoop but then open it at another time with a different size hoop, that's the hoop that will be displayed. Why? because the hoop is just sort of a background image and whatever hoop image is selected is the one that gets displayed.
And speaking of hoops, the size we've chosen here is the ideal size for sewing this design. It's small enough to comfortably accommodate the design and allows for a some wiggle room around it for fine tuning the placement at the machine. Getting a perfectly and precisely placed design when hooping can be difficult but I do try to hoop between the rings whenever possible. You'll get the best stitch formation and alignment that way.

I have a question. My essentials screen has changed somehow. The properties window on the right of the screen is gone!
It is very small in the right top and if you hover over it, you can see it.
I don't know how to fix it.
When I make a design and save it it says it's outside the area and won't work.....😢 Can you help me?
What I would try first is going to Views menu > Manage Views snd toggle on the various views. If that doesn't work, contact their support.

Go to View menu > Draw Hoop and it will turn it back on. The hotkey is "H" so if you accidentally hit that, it will toggle it on/off.

What if the VP3 option has the 5x5 hoop while the DST option didn't does it matter for me if I choose that hoop to work in while on embrilliance ? my machine reads DST but DST only has two hoops I'm not using
VP3 is a format for a specific machine so the hoop list is related to that machine. DST is a more generic format so the hoops depend on what your machine can use, Remember, the hoop is a visual reference only. You can make your own hoops to put in the DST list or use another hoop for a reference but still export in DST.
I can't find my lettering fonts on my embrilliance. All my embrilliance shows it the graph.

Please help. I have the embrilliance essential. I'm trying to find the Tread/pallet editor. before I had a list of different threadmanufacture, but now there's only brother embroidery thread / colors listed. how can I change this?
+sandrarose827 It's on the Utility menu. Utility > Threads. At least that's where I have it but then I have all the modules loaded.
