Have y’all ever tried using the Rockshox trailhead app? You can put the serial number of the fork it’ll help you tube it based on rider weight. I think it would be interesting to see a comparison between what it tells you and what pressures or rebound you usually tune forks too.
I replaced the Judy (silver?) that came on my hardtail with a Marzocchi Bomber Z2. It was on sale for about what you guys paid for this Judy Gold. I can't imagine ever wanting to go back now, the Bomber is _so_ much better.
Really hope the new frame is a crazy down hill frame. The Tick has been sending it a lot and even though it wouldn't be good for climbing I bet he would enjoy one!
I'm a little late to this initial impression video. Purchased and Installed a new Judy Gold TK(strait steerer, 100mm) about 60 days ago on my DIY e-Bike(based on a 2019 Schwinn TAFF frame, a variant of the Axum/Bonafied frame) and I'm loving it. It's fitted to a strictly urban commuter bike. For 200 bux, lemme tell ya, on rough streets that haven't seen new asphalt in over a decade that I have to commute over... my hands, arms and shoulders are thanking me. The stock spring based shock that Schwinn used was garbage when new, heavy and a pogo stick with no adjustability. My money was going towards electrifying it at first. Anyway, for a "budget" fork, it's bang for the buck as a Urban commuter fork is spot on. Much lighter and actually soaks up bumps and cracks in the asphalt. I should have upgraded it back in 2020 when I first slapped the Bafang mid-drive motor on. P.S. I solved the hard tail issue really early on by installing a Selle Royal Respiro Relaxed saddle($50). My booty thanked me right away.
That's an impressive fork for the money, I've got a feeling it'll be a good one. Great to see Wolfman looking after tick, really nice to see given the circumstances Take care gents 🍻👍😎
I have the Judy gold a3.with aluminum construction. It's on a large schwinn axum with a race face bars and stem. The upgrades made a giant difference. Lightened up the front end way more controllable. And yes the key does not fall out surprisingly. I've beat up this fork all summer long. Great fork imo. Bontrager line 30 29 inch rims also gave this bike a great feel.
Absolutely man, fork changing is a sweet spot for sure then a wheelset really ties it all in. Big Brother Kevin H rides on carbon? He swears it makes the biggest of differences
Awesome video! Love that Marino frame set! Here’s a idea. Ever think about setting one up single speed? Maybe show several chain tensioners. Just a idea. Glad to see you healing up & getting back into the groove. Good luck!! 👍🏻
LMAO!! I got them big old man eyebrows, lady squatch was laughing at this intro. That fork looks nice!! Would be perfect on Lady Squatch's Specialized.
i cannot decide between Judy Gold and Manitou Markhor. both similar weight and specs. I heared so good things about markhor but also that it has loosen up after some time and there is a play in the stantions
I’m praying they release that Mongoose Ardor in a large frame but unfortunately I’m 6”3 and believe I would be slightly cramped but still yet I’m a sucker for that wine red color
😁👍Ha ha ha I put this same fork on my polygon D5 it is awesome and is like butter! I think you will like it and the compression adjustment is nice on the fly when going and doing different stuff. I run 3 clicks rebound on mine. Have fun with it when you get better!
hey mate I've got a polygon premier 5 Which is a hardtail and im pretty sure it runs a similar fork to the d5 from factory, would you recommend upgrading to this fork?
Hi I am using same fork but on an XC build, is it safe I have my steerer tube cut with 1.5 inches remaining height and is less than my stem height size?
My nephew wants to spend $600.00 on a "cheap" pair of downhill suspension forks, I told him for half the money the Rock Shox Judy Silver 27.5" wheel suspension fork would be so MUCH better. They're also only 💰306.00🍁🤘🤘
Give that gimpy arm a rest, lefty. It's painful just watching you. It's nice to see you guys share the work, embrace that. PS Nice fork & really sweet frame. I look forward to see you sending both (WHEN RECOVERED).
I feel for you trying to get stuck in there but you got to stop until your bodies fixed itself I've been there tik and I'm paying the price I wouldn't listen years down the line and it's still not 100 percent

I've been waiting on this. I have an eastern alpaka and I've been considering this fork.

Campground mailtime Halloween special baby nice guys!!
I just picked up a used one in great condition for 113 shipped. They had it labeled as a silver and didn’t know what they had.
You need to be arrested, you just STOLE that thing!! Lol
Steel is real! That frame looks rad
Dude cannot wait!!
these guys are entertaining AF
Haha Thanks!
I just got a ns eccentric frame for my next build.
I’m praying they release that Mongoose Ardor in a large frame but unfortunately I’m 6”3 and believe I would be slightly cramped but still yet I’m a sucker for that wine red color
Hope yall are doing well!! Miss you guys.
do you guys need some boost wheelset for this? or is there any particular part you would like to try out?
So will this fork fit or be worth it for the shwinn axum?
And what brand of handlebars are up on the wall, any 7075 aluminum old school TITEC
H👹llbent risers? Or maybe a pair of Thomson 3/2.5 Titanium risers😁
That fork is a perfect match for the Ardor fellas. 😎⚓👍

Didnt catch this one right away! I always cut all my forks to 7 3/4"
Nice!! We're similar lol
How does this fare against a Suntour Epixcon? I can get both for about the same price and can't decide.

is it boost or quick release
Norco storm 5 mtb 29er for $399 hope we can see that here and for $449 I guess we can have the storm 4 with hydrolic brakes
Knew it was steel, nice that it's a Marino!
OOOOHHHH YEAAAHHHHH!!!!!
I never knew that the key came out, I guess they don't fall out.
Judy Gold vs Recon Silver? Since you've ridden both.✌️
Cant be too smooth!
True!
