    Just discovered your channel after getting back on a bike 20 years later. 41 with a 3 year old so trying to get into it. Got a specialized hybrid bike and have been pulling a trailer and loving it. This past weekend I was lucky enough to find a 2nd hand GT Agressor pro and completely stripped it down, cleaned and building back up. Waiting on the new crankset for the 1x and I’m done. I’m looking at different fork options. Videos like this are great because as a dad/nurse/husband to a Disney addicted wife, the budget is small.
    Thanks for putting out great content!

    I've been using Epixon for 3 years and it's starting to show signs of malfunctioning. It's having a fork "suck down", not able to hold air, and the lockout starting to give a little. All of which are problems that top-end forks do have, so it's not Epixon itself, and also fixable with a fork service. Long story short, I need/want to change to another 200 dollar-ish fork, and this video was a big help! So thank you so much for buying and reviewing these forks for everyone!!!

    Yea man I knew the x fusion would be the best one! I love the look of those forks man their just so clean and stealthy. Those frame guards are expensive and I’ve heard great things about them I think you guys will love them!

    :P you guys totally missed out a "serviceability" category. Thats kind of an important one. Though im guessing only the enix and epixon are actually serviceable from the list and those made it to the top of the list anyways.

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS
      @WOLFTICKVIDEOS  3 года назад +19

      For sure man, not a bad idea and may actually throw that in next time. I dont really want to tear into any forks so I didnt think of that but it could of been a mention like thru axle. Thanks Vexis

    • @richardsneddon2976
      @richardsneddon2976 3 года назад +4

      Maybe they could also throw in durability as on of them has failed already and another I don't think has even been tested yet only fitted. Yes you are correct the epixon is serviceable and I think the xfusion is too . All the others are made in the same factory with an insert in them like a hood stay or trunk stay . And once they fail that's it .

    • @upstatecre8

      @@richardsneddon2976 Oops I just left a similar comment. This is a really good discussion though I’d love to see someone do some quality research. That might benefit the rest of us. Can you imagine if these forks were reversed engineered by say fox or rock shocks.? Then it would just be a matter of ordering that $10-$20 kit and breaking into him to fix them.

      Afaik the buckloos and bolany 32mm forks are copies of suntour XCR forks but with a drawn cup for the air spring (so still disassemble-able) rather than finishing the inside of the stanchion fine enough to use it. Drawn tubes are much cheaper than a honing process.
      Since they are still openable, volume spacers in there (or just putting varying amounts of oil into the air tube before putting the piston in) are free for tuning the progressiveness for big bump capability. IMO all of these forks could have equal "big bump" absorption by setting the sag height to a lower percentage for forks that have a lower volume ratio (at the cost of worse small bump compliance), but with oil you can adjust the volume ratio AND sag height for both small bump and big bump control. And then rebound of course is critical so it doesn't buck you off after a big hit.
      Then the real question is whether they're close enough that you can just put a $65 Suntour LO R cartridge in there when it blows.

    • @MiGujack3
      @MiGujack3 3 года назад +1

      @@nickopedia5669 I constantly keep hearing about using Suntour parts on Bolany forks, but I have yet to see a video of someone showing a how to video and results.
      I really want to do it, but no info except comments.

    You two are a funny crew. I envy the fact that You guys are family. My Dad died recently and there's no way for Me to do and share something like this with Him now. So I've been watching Your show for the information and always in the back of My mind this low level huummmm missing My own Dad. It's a bitter sweet fruit. Anyhow, thought I'd deal with that thought by admitting it to myself and sharing it for some form of theropy; You'd have liked my Dad. He was a ...Dad. Even other people would call Him when they had a problem, He'd put his shoes on and make time. A good, hard working, Navy Sr. Chief and Father to anyone in need. So, Good For You guys! I'm Happy to see You two having fun with this channel and together as Family. Both You are proud of the other, which is a fundamental to really caring. Much Respect. Benjamin

      Benjamin thank you for sharing brother. 🙏 We wanted to start this channel to show our relationship and our lifestyle, so exactly what you watch for. • @BenjaminWasHere
      @BenjaminWasHere 2 года назад

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Knowing your thoughts here, make my original impression even more important. When someone says, “I love you brother.“ What does that mean? Removing the relationship between the sexes, it’s the same thing when you say to a girlfriend you have, “I love you sweetheart.“ What defines this “love“. I think I know. Not going into detail, on the fundamental criteria for feeling so close to someone else, feeling such that he would rather take harm than to let it happen to them, you put your life on the line for them, those sorts of reality checks, have at least one huge variable synonymous to all. Respect. When respect reaches a certain level, and that moment it becomes “love you buddy,“ or “I’m in love with you sweetheart.“ So for your information if I am correct, U2 respect each other. To very high degree. Make sure you recognize that, make sure you never allow that to decrease, and, if you can… Increase it more. In those things that you respect each other, challenge the other one and push them. If your father respects how fast you are on the bicycle, allow him to push you and increase your times. Obviously, his respect to increase accordingly. This is a very simple explanation of My point, hopefully get the point. Interestingly, I respect You 2 for Your Father/Son relationship and how You’ve Translated that relationship into your channel. Because of this very simple formula, anyone watching your channel will end up subscribing to it I think. It’s a matter time before your channel blows up. And everything based back on, “the respect” between You Two. Side-note: Did you realize, I’m the guy that made a comment about your cauliflower ears and BJJ?

    I think Bucklos, Krsec and Lutu are all the same exact shock from the same factory. I need a 26x4.0 fat bike fork with rebound and these are the only two available with a straight steer tube on the entire planet. Which would you go with? I contacted X-Fusion and told them they won your showdown and asked them to PLEEEEAAASE make a $250. decent fat bike fork with rebound, but I ran out of characters, so who knows if they'll get the message. PLMK what you think.

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Well, I just ordered the Bucklos fat bike fork with the rebound from Amazon due to your video. They only have 15 left in stock and I'm afraid they won't restock and I'd be kicking myself. All the Bucklos Fat forks on eBay (and there's a ton of them), don't have the rebound adjustment- go figure. I can't tell if they are old stock or new stock as they cost more than the ones with rebound on Amazon. Even so, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to look at and/or review the fork I "almost" bought; www.aliexpress.com/item/32938425625.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.39493c00YH5xEM&mp=1

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Hey, before you go, I got a few questions, if it's no trouble??? I want to change the headset when I install the Bucklos fork, but I'm not 100% sure of a few things. Do I need special tools to remove the old cups or can I a piece of hardwood and a rubber mallet to bang them out? Can you simply go from a headset with open bearings to a sealed bearing headset? And lastly (I I just need confirmation on this one).. you cannot installed a tapered steer tube on a bike that uses a straight steer tube, right?

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS
      @WOLFTICKVIDEOS  3 года назад

      No sepecial tools needed, now you can use a screwdriver to punch them out but be careful! You can go from open to sealed, now the tapered question-NO.......But if you have a long enough steerer tube and a 44mm internal headtube then yes. I believe it is cane creek or chris kig that sells an adapter.

    Hi guys interesting vid . Guys you know I watch all your vids but I feel this time I have to say something. On your original review of the lutu forks I nearly bought them . I then started to research them a bit more and there is a lot of horror stories out there on them . I feel that on a slack bike they could possibly be on the verge of dangerous. You said they are broken now but you stand by them after all you have put them through. But they have failed ! No longer operational. Even that gold coating is coming off . These forks are only around 3 or 4 months old if you were to buy another set that would be more than the suntour or xfusion . They are both serviceable. The lutu are throw away . The same goes for all those cheap forks the bucklos etc it turns out they are all made in the same factory. All I can say is I am glad I researched this further and never bought them. I am sorry guys but I felt I had to say something on this .

      Hey Richard thanks I think. We are a little confused with your comment and we're hoping that maybe you could clear things up for us. We definitely want the #wolfticknation to feel like they can be open and honest about how they took something we said or share an opinion that differs from ours. You took some time to write this so we want you to feel heard. The part that has us concerned is the part you say "but I feel this time I have to say something". When we read that we felt like you were saying something like,"I have been holding this back" and like we mentioned that's not what we want. Please let us know how you really feel and what your concerns are so we can continue enjoying each others roles in this setting, meaning Content Creators and Viewers. Please get back to us with any questions or concerns and don't hold back. Thanks- John and Jeremiah

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I think I explained it pretty well . The lutu forks failed as in they broke so they have not survived. So how can they be rated . Let's say that was your only bike and you had paid good money to buy these and after only 3 or 4 months they are to be binned. And you have to get another set they then become more expensive than the epixon , xfusion or rock shox as they can all be repaired . Even the gold coating I could see in the video its wearing off . Guys I know you said you put them through hell but they didn't survive . Or let's say they broke or failed on a really big jump what then . Have you ever seen pinkbike squash tests on suspension and what happens now if it was say a slack head angle then well it could be very serious. Have a look and see some of these videos on them . I just feel that they were championed by you guys and they had no right to be . Listen I am glad you got back to me and I salute you guys for it .but after watching this video last night it got to me the more I thought about It and felt something had to be said . I could have bought them . I nearly did and what if they failed when i was landing after a big jump at speed ? . Anyway wolftick rules .

      @@WOLFTICKVIDEOS listen guys if you had said on that video these fork are stone cold last and they broke on us after abuse or not . They are not suitable for bike parks trails or etc . If that is what you are looking for buy something else but if they are for commuting only and light gravel roads then yes buy them . You would have earned my respect but to put them above other forks that are still working doesn't seem quite correct as they are all still working. If they had survived and were still working well fair enough.

      @@richardsneddon2976 Yeah man, we just don't really recommend stuff. Don't get me wrong when Jeremiah gets a new toy he is biased as all get out, but this is why I constantly interject my 2 cents worth and try to temper his enthusiasm just a little. We did not make this rating system to be anything more than a complete mindless entertainment piece. I mean we even said I came up with it while drinking🤪 for heaven sakes😄. While the system is for entertainment purposes only, we stand by our decision to include the Lutu and the points it received. No other fork we have tested has received 5 full hard months of 20mph rock gardens, dozens of 12-15ft jumps, and 30 or 40 times down black diamond trails hitting all the features. Remember this fork is not made or recommended by the manufacturer for any of this abuse but handled it, not for a weekend but for 5 months. We paid our own money for it and we are considering buying another. Save some frustrations for the next couple of forks and tires that we are going to review and score because I'm sure it's going to upset some people.🤣 Thanks for taking the time to address this and I'm hoping after you have time to consider these things you will feel better about it. We will try to do a better job of communicating these things to the viewers and I will try to crack down on Jeremiah's over the top enthusiasm for new stuff to play with😂. Thanks Richard and we value you as a loyal part of the #wolfticknation.👍 Now I gotta go and watch the movie Rad with Jeremiah🤘.

    But...I do have a question: Ebikes...I know, I know, that's "cheating" but, I got one recently to check out... The bike I got has cheap parts across the whole bike: My BB is "cracking" as I peddle, in particular, my front fork bottoms out. Such a piece of Doo Doo! Hence, I've been watching Your fork reviews. Problem is, these forks are for normal bikes. My Ebike monster has 4" tires on a 26" wheel. Straight tube. No thru axle, just a nut. Like old school bicycles used to have. So I'm trying to find a front fork and I'm wondering if maybe there's a video of yours addressing the unique measurements of a 4-in tire 26-in rim Ebike? Or, perhaps you know about these kinds of measurements for wheel and can just tell me, what you recommend for a budget front fork? Much respect, Benjamin.

    1:36 those guards work really well, protect agianst scraping up the frame or fork, but they should have larger versions for enduro and downhill forks, the fork guers only really fit xc forks. The guards are nice for the really prone areas on the bike. But they don't work on extreme shapes.
    I had do bail while climbing, my hip misaligned throwing me off balance I went running down the hill and bike fell over and fork hit a rock, but barely a å mark on the guard. So I thing these work great.
    Jus take sure to not touch the adhesive too much or the won't stick well.

    How do you think the Enix would compare to a Rockshox Recon Silver TK? The Rockshox will no doubt be a bit heavier due to steel stanchions, but which one do you think would be better overall? Currently looks to be about a $50 difference between the two. I actually have an Enix on my son's custom built full suspension bike. It works good, and has held up well with him, but that's with the weight of a 10yr old kid.

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS
      @WOLFTICKVIDEOS  3 года назад +1

      Well man I can say it may be a better route then the Enix. The Enix is a great fork but it is very light and tinny while the rockshox is a heavier duty overall fork. Its smooth and soaks a lot up and may be a better buy for a bigger rider. That and parts availability is crazy!!

    • @WOLFTICKVIDEOS

    I know it’s an old vid but my rockshox recon silver has steel stanchions so it weighs an entire pound more than my Bucklos fork with aluminum stanchions. The thing is I literally don’t feel safe riding aggressively on the Bucklos 🤣
