Relocation of Historic McNab House, Pompano Beach

March 1, 2020 - An historic, all-brick home in Pompano Beach, Florida, was moved successfully to its new location four blocks away. The painstaking move took hours along Atlantic Boulevard, the city's main East-West thoroughfare, to the delight of all who turned out to watch. It was slowly rolled, along with a separate garage structure, to its new home in McNab Park to be preserved, after developers bought the land on which it was originally built. The house belonged to one of the city’s first families in 1926. It will be restored and leased out by the city as a restaurant and adjacent botanical garden for everyone to enjoy.
