GM confirmed on multiple major YT car channels that power is achieved on pump gas. It's due to the fuck ton of cooling in front that will never fit on a front engine car and the electronic wastegate (in the first prototype iteration they were already measuring 800hp with the wastegate left wide open). Plus tons of other optimizations like super short exhaust path to turbos in exhaust manifold. The Z06's LT6 architecture was designed for trick turbo provisions since its original early conceptualization instead of tacked on after the fact.
I’m gonna say it’s totally doable on pump because 1064 out of a 5.5 liter is ~193 hp/liter. AMGs turbo 2 liter 4 cylinder makes 230hp/liter on 91 octane. Big turbo, DI and port, 9.0:1 and 7200rpm limit. Nothing American made, but there’s a few production cars out there making higher hp/liter than the ZR1.
Hp per liter argument is stupid especially when comparing them to another engine that has half the cylinders and half the reciprocating mass and a complete different cylinder lay out design. Yes, of course you can spin it faster more safely thanks to balance and weight. If you’re going to do that at least measure it against other v8s for these reasons.
Hp/liter is a measure of how efficient an engine is at making power, it’s not stupid. The Mercedes engine has a redline that’s 800 rpm lower, it’s not better because it revs higher or has less cylinders. But that’s just one example, Ferrari and McLaren both have flat plane crank V8s making similar hp/liter to the LT7. Hell, the Bugatti W16 makes similar hp/liter and that’s an 8 liter engine that isn’t balanced anywhere near as well as a 90 degree V8.
It's also a half liter bigger than a Coyote. Not a huge difference but the displacement does help, plus excellent heads and some other magic I'm not aware about
1064HP is at the crank not the wheels so it's making about 900rwhp. From what I've seen it's running low to mid 5s 60-130 so for a car weighing around 4000lbs that sounds about right. I would suspect the stock turbos are good enough for another 200-300 rwhp. How much the stock motor can take is another story but it's a good starting point.
I agree with knowing more about your car and how it works when a tuner tells you to check something. Even if you don't immediatly know what they are asking to check, Google is free. Dont waste your tuners time, look up EVERYTHING they say and do what you CAN DO to fix shit. If the fix is too much work/requires special tools/requires expertise, THEN take it in. Work on your own cars when you can folks
The hype of the GTD. Just shows how far the Mustang community has fallen. It’s not even built by Ford. Calling it the ultimate Mustang, turn in your card.
I dont care what any one say there should have been a in between model when it comes to the mustang and ford gt.... the thunderbird it should have still been around and made out to be the car it should have been. At this point its safe to say ford isn't really listening to the people they have been engineering modular engines for years yet the other side comes and out does them with 2 new modular engines🤦🏾♂️ the people in the blue oval need to be let go they're on the wrong trac. The ford gt should not have been eco..... EVER
lol “3-5mil isn’t F-you money”… that’s easily 120-200k/yr in interest with any mediocre interest savings account. Damn feel like I missed a good live! Is the first hour lost forever?
GTD dead on arrival… heavier, less powerful, worse handling, and more expensive than the zr1… and to get one it you don’t have to make a video begging Ford to get one like a wierdo
Ain’t no one gives a fuck about the gtd the car is unattainable and cars compared to it are better what was ford thinking let’s make a heavy ass car and try to make it turn better than lighter cars and smaller

ZR1 is a monster from the factory. Alex kept it rolling like a real entertainer 💯

Tadge specifically stated it didnt need special fuel like a competitor when straight pipes mentioned the demon 170. I think it does it on 93.
This is one of the funniest in a while. From Coco to Fingers. God damn.
9:18 1979 Trans Am T/A which featured a 301ci (single turbo) V8 making around 9psi and a whopping 210 to the flywheel lol.

The 86-91 C4 Corvette Callaway were also twin turbo.
This episode was too funny had a blast
“Hey Coco, one of these demon 170’s wants to race a sapphire”
“Oh I’ve driven it before”
“You have?”
I’m dying 😂😂😂

It’s back to the full show now
@@ChevyCamaroIsBetter I saw that. Thank you.
Having him drive the demon probably slowed it down honestly lol😂
That zr1 is nasty but it sounds kind of like a harbor freight shop vac lol and so does the ford gt

The ZR1 is gonna gap cars all across the country without having to depend on E85 availability for the 1064 HP.
Mid engine c8, twin turbo sound familiar? Bullet proof! LOL
Don't look at us in Bakersfield lol

I think it's kinda crazy that all sports cars aren't flex fuel at this point
Talking about clout chaser… I remember who was the first to crash the new gt500 into the wall 👀👀👀
CAR MANUFACTURING 2024 FEELS LIKE 1980'S EWW
CR is 9.8. 20 psi boost.
I think if ford wants to get ahead of the competition for the next 10 years they should lengthen and make it taller able to be made into a 6-7liter
Like a Godzirra.!
Flex fuel tune built in
Go to Turkey and get some hair 😂🤣😂🤣
Ford would have too make a cross plane crank 5.4 Coyote with twin Turbos to be close
They already have that and a 5.6 coyote variant not available to the public the mustang gt3 has a 5.4 coyote variant
@@ranware2779 it's looks to be just an Iron block. Is there a running engine
@likenem nope no running engine the video I did see they took down the 5.4 coyote variant in the gt3 yes
GM invented the flex fuel logic ...it def has it. Does coco drive the Silverback gorilla??
The have the flex fuel but nvr put it on there turbo cars for some dumb reason
