This song, Red Red Wine by UB40 only reached only at 36 on the Billboard Top 40 on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Countdown in January 28, 1984, as I was listening to WHYT "Hot Hits", FM-96.3 when I used to live in Dearborn Michigan back then. It came back in August of 1988 when I listened to the Top 40 radio station KJR, AM-800, in Seattle Washington when I live in Bremerton when Shadoe Stevens is doing the American Top 40 Countdown after Casey Casem left, and before moving to Carson City Nevada with my older brother in September 1988, and I have listened to KWNZ "K-Winz", FM-92.3 in Reno Nevada temporarily and in October 1, 1988, Red Red Wine by UB40 did reached at number 1 by knocking out "Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin out of not only of being number 1 in September 24, 1988, but also out of the Top 10. I feel unhappy then they have a big dropper for Bobby McFerrin's, Don't Worry, Be Happy.
Just got back from a trip from Maui and listening to this reminds me of cruising down the road in our black dodge charger GT listening to this having the best time of our life!

Well, if it means anything, that song showed exactly my own relationship with alcohol (esp. wine!) before getting sober in 1989. It was a very sad time for me when I saw all the wasted years I would never get back. But I wouldn't TRADE ANYTHING for my sobriety now.
