I don’t mind Millie’s voice like yea at first it was kinda strange but now I associate this voice with the character. Really liked this episode and striker is definitely a good antagonist.
I think the best part of Helluva Boss is that they’ve released such high quality content at such a quick frequency completely for free. The next episode is going to be the longest of the season so it’s going to longer to come out than usual but I can’t wait to see you react to it!
Honestly I feel like Stolas is so adjusted to Stella being a total sadistic jerk, that he either doesnt care about the phone call, or he's learned how to shut her out when she's on a rant so he didnt hear what she said
Fun Fact: You are correct! Millie’s sister is Trans, you can tell by her horns, female IMP horns have thin white lines and male IMP horns have thicker white lines! :)
Well, Elijah say she's the Harley and that identified herself with Moxie and we all know how Ivy and Millie are. Conclusion? Elijah wants a not-so-average-girlfriend with attitude. Take note girls!
Millie’s original voice gives me “cutesy psycho” vibes (one of my favorite tropes lol), and I admit I prefer softer Millie as well, but one thing I will say about the voice change is that the VA for Loona (Erica Lindbeck, a.k.a. *Barbie)* also voiced Millie in the pilot, but obviously voicing 2 characters with 2 distinctly-different vocal styles at once is a lot of work for one actress, so they replaced Millie’s voice to take some of the workload off of her. Honestly if I had to choose one or the other, I don’t think I could handle it if they changed Loona’s voice over Millie’s. 😖 Edit: In case it hasn’t been mentioned (though it probably has), Striker is voiced by Norman Reedus, a.k.a. Daryl from the walking dead.
I was hopping that after Blitzø told Millie that he’s not above hitting a female in front of her daddy, Moxxie would come in and say, “neither am I, once Stolas shows up.” 😆
Part of what gets me about how vehemently you hate Millie's new voice is that the change in VAs means 1) Erica Lindbeck isn't overworked by having to voice two characters in several episodes and 2) Vivian Nixon has work, does a great job being exactly what Vivzie envisioned for the character, and gets paid. To me, it just seems really disrespectful to just *constantly* harp on someone's hard work. It's not that I don't think you can have an opinion, it's just that it does get annoying when you comment on it *every* episode. And again, just seems disrespectful to this VA.
yeah, she goes on about how much she hates Millies new voice in every reaction, all we need is the first statement that she doesn't like the new voice, she doesn't need to constantly go on about it
Yeah, this is what has been bothering me too. It’s fine to have an opinion and preference for a voice but repeatedly bringing up her dislike of Millie’s current voice (and insisting that this voice will never be Millie’s voice to her) just comes across as disrespectful to her VA :/
I agree with her, i wasnt a fan of the voice change either. I dont think it came across disrespectful, this entire video is a lighthearted reaction based on personal opinions
@@iknowthatyouknowthatiknowt2930 if it was just once or twice it wouldn't have been disrespectful, but she kept mentioning it in *every single video,* and that's the point where it became disrespectful. Having an opinion is one thing, but constantly dragging someone's hard work just because you don't like their voice is another.
Also fun fact: During Stricker's song, Blitz is eating cheese on a stick with siracha sauce, that is a reference to a HB livestream where Brandon Rogers (the VA for Blitz) was eating cheese slices with siracha haha
8:37 also, male demons seem to have all white hair, whereas the females have it black. If you look at Millie's sister, you can see that, despite her hair being black, the roots (or at least part of it) are still white
Notice during the mud-wrestling; in the background, Stolas leans forward eager to watch Blitzo get down and dirty while Wally Wackford pulls away, slightly concerned.
Freaking Norman Reedus guest starring in this episode I swear I had to contain my inner fangirl squeal because I was at my grandparents house for a couple weeks when this episode aired!
"It's the aggression okay. I prefer the softer Millie." You prefer the demon born and raised in the ring of wrath, without wrath? Your wrong on this one her new voice fits her personality much better.
I just started watching your reactions and I love how quickly you said Blitz loves Stolas. You've maintained that opinion this whole time. I've never seen anyone else do that. They always question it.
12:24 "His feathered daddy!" Funniest moment in the reaction to me. Also, petition to let Elijah play a villain, maybe? So she can make her character have so much fun and in such a cute way you root for her anyways?
10:19 Wait a minute, Elijah's "Impsona" here has a clip in her her hair shaped like a bee, and that same imp girl showed up at the party in the Queen Bee episode. Wow, they were forshadowing episode 1x8 even back then.
Just to be clear the Imps and Hellhounds aren’t immortal, they just have REALLY long life spans so Striker very well could have killed Millie and Moxxie if he wanted too And believe it or not Striker did genuinely want Blitzo to team up with him, he’s got a bit of a “villainous respect” for him
You know I used to not understand why you were so adamant about Millie’s voice, since it was only in the pilot. However, I realized that I feel the same way about Angel Dusts voice actor getting replaced. Even though he was only in one episode he put on an amazing performance that really resonated with me and I probably won’t ever get over it. So while I don’t agree with your opinion, I totally understand getting attached to a voice actor.
I can understand why they changed Millies voice from the pilot. Like, I guess you could say she didn’t even had a personal voice actor. She was voiced by the same person who voices Loona (So that was like kinda a “self-dialogue” when Loona and Millie talked to each other, but that’s totally a normal thing anyway. I mean, Alex Hirsh voices so many characters from his own show and some from The Owl House, he totally talks to himself a lot). I think they just didn’t find a right person for Millie back then, but wanted to release the episode to the public as soon as possible (Well, that’s a PILOT after all) PERSONALLY, I didn’t like the change of the voice too at first. But then I just realised that, at the end of the day, I guess this voice fits her. Aggressive? Yeah, but I think it’s one of Millies personality traits as well, so it does fit her personality. And I love the accent (I know the creator of this video has nothing to do against the accent, I just wanted to add how much I, personally, love the accent) But again, people have different opinions and likings, and if you like the previous voice more - it’s totally your right, and you don’t deserve to get hate for it. I hope you’ll feel better about this voice one day And, great video as usual, btw And YES, Sally May is indeed a transgender character! Her hair roots are also white (Male imps have white hair, while female imps have black), so she probably dyed her hair black! I’m glad you noticed the horns, not everyone notice them, great observation!
I love how Stella just didn’t care of the fact that Stolas was right there when she was talking to striker. Also, I think Stolas did here because he did look up at her with a surprised look at the end. Also, I’m super excited for the next episode of helluva boss I hope we get to see the reaction soon it’s going to be great.❤

Yes, Striker is going to be a problem later, he works for Stella and Just because Moxxie entered the room to see the weapon Blitzo could figured out what was happening, this gonna be interesting in the next season
I have the exact opposite view of her voice, the softer tones wouldn't match her intended character personality, she is aggressive, she is assertive, she was raised in a rough strength is power environment. But its subjective, we can have soft spoken dangerous individuals but a little fire ball like Millie aggressive tone works for me.
MILLIE BEING HAPPY FOR CATCHING THE BOUQUET AND SAYING IT WAS SO FUCKING WORTH IT ITS ALSO MY FAVORITE PART i just love relationships in this show they are all so cute and complex and perfect and so incorrect in all the best ways. i love this show, im glad you are reacting to it.
I wanna explain something real quick: Demon royalty like Stolas cannot be killed by normal hell weapons like Moxxies guns or Millies knifes. They can only be killed by angelic weapons. the only way to get angelic material is the spears from the exterminator angels that come to hell ones a year to kill of sinners. They leave their spears all over the pride ring and then these get taken and either sold directly to demons (Vaggies spear is an angelic spear) or they get forged into new weapons (strikers rifle or revolver). Blitzø and the other imps can just die from anything. Charlie and her dad count as angels (Charlie is an Angel demon hybrid) and can only be killed by angels that have a higher rank in heaven (Lucifer is probably second only to god. I have no idea what rank charlie would have in heaven). That's it! Love the video! keep up the awesome work!
8:26 “Is Millie’s sister supposed to be a transgender character” Yes Sally May is MTF trans and yes the creators did use the horns to indicate she is a transgender character which also can show Millie’s parents are supportive of their 2 queer daughters.
Amen to your feelings on Millie's voice. The aggressiveness is 100% my issue with it too. It makes the accent sound 100 times more fake. After watching the pilot I was so excited to have an animated southern character that didn't sound like they were a hillbilly fresh from their first metal concert and still riding the high. Then the voice change happened T_T Also, while I'm sure some folks have given you a heads up already, now seems like a good time to bring it up again: this show has a LOT of batshit fans. They take anything they perceive as 'bad' directed at it as a deep, personal insult. Anything from saying you don't like a certain character's voice to misidentifying a character and they will lose their gourds. So just be prepared for those folks. My recommendation is to ignore them, a lot of them aren't even regular viewers. They show up in the comments section of anybody who reacts to this show. The creator of the show herself learned the hard way that interacting with her fanbase is can only end in nervous breakdowns and shutting down one's social media accounts.
I know his was a year ago and you wont see this, but if you look closely all the female imps have black hair and all the male imps have white hair! Ofc there's also some with no hair so you have to look at their horns. I'm guess there's few going trans which it's why sometimes you'll see a slight mixup of white hair thin stripes. Also in Sallie Mae's hair you can see a white splotch which is where the root of her hair is! I'm also guessing they wanted to make the hair colour thing official after the pilot because Millie also use to have that splotch but now she doesn't.

Hey! I happened to be looking on the Helluva Boss wiki for some character ideas, when I saw something that made me realize something and well, I thought I'd come back to tell you, Elijah, and anyone else who happens to be here 2 months late. So that one imp in the crowd at the awards ceremony(?) for the winner of the festival? The one that Striker kicked in the face but that ended up taking it as physical contact? The one that you said looked like you? The one with the bee barrette? Apparently she's a self-insert of one of the crew members! Plus the white roots in her hair, female IMPs have black hair while males have white
Ok but the aggressive voice fits her character better. She’s such a badass, as you’ve already seen a bit, but it gets even better.
It doesn't
Edit: In case it hasn’t been mentioned (though it probably has), Striker is voiced by Norman Reedus, a.k.a.
So, how’d s2e5 go?
I prefer the softer Millie."
You prefer the demon born and raised in the ring of wrath, without wrath?
14:42 THE PAUSE WHEN STOLAS LIKE REALIZED
Just to be clear the Imps and Hellhounds aren’t immortal, they just have REALLY long life spans so Striker very well could have killed Millie and Moxxie if he wanted too
And believe it or not Striker did genuinely want Blitzo to team up with him, he’s got a bit of a “villainous respect” for him
You know I used to not understand why you were so adamant about Millie’s voice, since it was only in the pilot. However, I realized that I feel the same way about Angel Dusts voice actor getting replaced. Even though he was only in one episode he put on an amazing performance that really resonated with me and I probably won’t ever get over it. So while I don’t agree with your opinion, I totally understand getting attached to a voice actor.
I mean, Millie's pilot VA is still here though. She voices Loona
I think they just didn’t find a right person for Millie back then, but wanted to release the episode to the public as soon as possible (Well, that’s a PILOT after all)
PERSONALLY, I didn’t like the change of the voice too at first. But then I just realised that, at the end of the day, I guess this voice fits her. Aggressive? Yeah, but I think it’s one of Millies personality traits as well, so it does fit her personality. And I love the accent (I know the creator of this video has nothing to do against the accent, I just wanted to add how much I, personally, love the accent)
But again, people have different opinions and likings, and if you like the previous voice more - it’s totally your right, and you don’t deserve to get hate for it. I hope you’ll feel better about this voice one day
And, great video as usual, btw
And YES, Sally May is indeed a transgender character! Her hair roots are also white (Male imps have white hair, while female imps have black), so she probably dyed her hair black! I’m glad you noticed the horns, not everyone notice them, great observation!
I love how even Vivian is stunned they got Norman Reedus for Striker
Fun Fact: Striker is actually voiced by Norman Reedus AKA Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead
Whenever Blitzo does those big puppy dog eyes, its so cute and adorable!!! He loves Luna as a daughter!!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE that Norman Reedus voiced Striker for his introduction episode! 🤩❤
I never understood why people were so shocked about Stella calling striker to kill Stolas
I love how Millie just straight up went all Protective Wife Mode 😍
I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to Millie's voice either, but she is an amazing character and she really loves Moxxie so much!!!!!!!
To be fair, the more aggressive voice fits since the character was made more aggressive
WE'RE GETTING CLOSE TO EPISODE 6 BITCHES :D
I love how Stella just didn’t care of the fact that Stolas was right there when she was talking to striker. Also, I think Stolas did here because he did look up at her with a surprised look at the end. Also, I’m super excited for the next episode of helluva boss I hope we get to see the reaction soon it’s going to be great.❤
Sallie May had only two scenes and she made it count!
viewers: "i wanna watch elijah react to helluva boss!"
elijah: *has her own reaction and opinion on a voice change*
viewers: *start foaming at the mouth*
I really love Stolas so much!!! He's my favorite character!!! The way he's flirting towards Blitzo is so cute!!!!!
The fact that Stella hired a hitman for Stolas while he was sitting in front of the table was hilarious!!!!! LOL!!!!!
I was shocked when I saw that Norman Reedus voiced Striker! He is incredible! This show has grown to something so incredible that it grabs the attention so many different people!! Christina Vee, Norman Reedus, more big names to come!
This animation bit is flawless and sends so much fear
Bot!
@@roo1014yeah no there isn't no bot Ive met with over 40 subs😬
Fun Fact: Millie's dad Joe is voiced by Edward Bosco, who also voices Alastor in Hazbin Hotel. :)
Another fun Imp fact, male imps have white hair and female imps have black hair, and they have scars that show up white, like Blitz’s patches
I think you're the first person I've seen that noticed Sally May (Millie's sister) is trans! Bravo and great reaction!
RUclipsr Morgan Terry, love her btw 💜💜 Had a fantastic reaction to this episode . . . when Striker started singing "Sweet Victory" she went *How funny would it be, if he started singing "Sweet Victory" from Spongebob?!!*
Omg I was binge watching your helluva boss and hazbin reactions and I found this an hour later 😅
Nobody asked. No-one cares.
8:09 your light died agian
Fun fact about Blitz: He loves horses, like a lot
Ah yes, still a point in time when people actually liked Stella or thought "Okay, maybe she has a point..."
This is my favorite episode! So much that I wrote an original villain song for Striker!
I can't wait for your reaction to episode 6, I think it's the best of the season 💞
I didn't even notice that the imps have different horns based on their sex.
Although, I did notice that Stiker has both imp horns and shark guy eyes.
Fun fact some of y'all probably didn't know: Striker isn't a full imp, but is actually a hybrid
I figured as he looked different- also heard some theories, it's pretty neat
I wanna explain something real quick:
Demon royalty like Stolas cannot be killed by normal hell weapons like Moxxies guns or Millies knifes.
Indeed yes, Millie's sister is canonically transgender and is voiced by Morgana Ignis who is a trans actress. So happy you noticed the horn patterns!
Then the voice change happened T_T
Also, while I'm sure some folks have given you a heads up already, now seems like a good time to bring it up again: this show has a LOT of batshit fans.
Bro do you even know why the voice was changed?
If not then shut up
I'm glad that Millie has a different voice actor.
Norman Reedus is a perfect Striker voice , I love and now i need more!
Elijah you can't imagine how excited I am for the next episode, it's really amazing, both the animation and the storyline
3:11 I just realised the music we hear in the background is the same we will hear in the first episode of the next season during Stolas song.
I feel so bad for Moxxie. He's one of my favorites and he deserves better treatment. I just want to give him a big hug.
You are up for a *_HELL_* of a ride in the next episode
I like the last scene so much🤣not only she was talking openly about killing Stolas, but Stolas was also reading a book about Imps 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, no! I did not catch that detail with the book! 🤣
@@WhyAreWeAwake I'm always reading everything in every scene from Helluva Boss🤣 did you saw the warning that shows up in the add with the angels? When the little lamb is doing the paperwork there is a warning apparently written by the superior and I laughed so much when I read it🤣🤣🤣
@@lya_monteiro no! they're so careful with the details in this show! i have honestly mostly been watching the reactions and then catching a full episode here and there after. i should flip it, but i'm so busy. it's my shortcut to knowing more shows with good queer rep watching by queer reactors videos. i will totally watch hazbin hotel before anything with spoilers, though. it's more my vibe. i didn't know it existed until elijah reacted to it, which is bizarre!
@@WhyAreWeAwake The crew from both the shows likes to add a lot of details, try to check it out when you have the chance 😉
@@lya_monteiro Word! Thanks!
To answer your question, yes Millie's sister Sally-May is indeed a trans gender imp. (Also I think Sally-May's voice actor is voiced by a trans gender person as well.) Just so you know.
I still don't know why Stella is bothering to have Stolas assassinated. Nor why she hates him so passionately. I say this as someone who watched all the episodes so far
I cant wait for her to get to the next episode.
Theres SO MUCH action in it
"you know you like him blitz"
after watching episode 6 it's complicated
I think Striker could be an Envy demon of some kind. All of his tempting offers, his handsome and confident persona...he's everything a lot of imps (or even people) would want to be.
I believe he's a Greed Imp, based on the description of the Greed ring
I never picked up on the horn stripe difference between afab and amab imps 😮
7:26 no one asked but from all the characters I’m verosika 😂
Man, I love this episode. The animation is getting better and better with every episode. And Striker is such a cool villian: his design, his fight scenes and his voice (did you noticed, that he is voiced by Norman Reedes?). Moxie is so loveble and cool in this episode and next episode, he and Blitz (and the others) are getting even better. You will see, what I mean, I`m so excited 😆.
Me who never knew millie voices changed 💀
She has an aggressive voice, because she’s from wrath
Some sort of designer (character or background unspecified) named Cecilia Goncalves.
So this member of the show staff is probably a Striker simp, representing a solid portion of the fandom. Pretty cool!
This is it everyone, where Elijah approaches the serious part of the series!!! >:D
very good that you caught that little fact about the horns. not alot of ppl caught it at first.
Ahh finally!! i been going through your library looking for this one specifically :P OMG, I am excited to see how you react to this one!!! much much love ♥♥
