As a German myself I can tell you how brave you are for learning such a difficult language Believe me when I tell you that even we Germans struggle with our own language
Haha! So truth! Frankly my German boyfriend is still struggling to explain of German grammar when I ask him something. I wish my mother tongue was German.😂
Easy way to kill fruit flies: take a small glass, use any kind of sweet fruit juice and a bit of vinegar and top it off with dish soap. The flies gravitate towards the juice vinegar mix, want to sit down and drink but the dish soap takes away the surface tension so the fruit flies sink down
Oh, nice to see that your days are more easier than in last weeks vlog :) And dont feel stressed about speaking and/or understand german and rather replying in english. Thats something were not stressed about and in cities where a lot of students living it's kind of a normal thing. Take your time with learning.
yes i am living in germany and it doesnt bother me if someone talks to english with me. Most of the people especially younger people can understand english.
I'm always glad that German is my first language. It must be extremely difficult to learn. Especially if you're from Asia. I think even people from Europe struggle with German but not that heavily. The Roman languages have at least some tiny similarities ^^°. I don't know in which city you're studying but I hope you can adapt well, find new friends and can explore Germany a bit.
I guess it all depends on which part of Asia you’re from. I’m from Asia, but most of my friends and acquaintances who had to prepare for their study and work in German didn’t struggle to learn German as much as they did when learning Mandarin.
@@rin__ That's interesting to know. I still think about applying for a Buddy-Programm of my university for next semester. In case that there will be people who have difficulties or just to make them feel welcome right from the start. If I was about to study in a country super far from everything that I'm used to, I'd be very anxious. So having someone by your side can make a big difference.
As someone who speaks both German and a Roman language fluently I agree that German is more difficult in terms of grammar. I wish everyone great success and don’t give up! It’s gonna be worth it
some german words give french pronounce vibe. I'm not french but this kinda gives similarity to some words or is this my imagination 😅😅 not gonna lie some words pronounce is a lil hard but luckily there are so much similar words pronounced with English and my own language (Azerbaijani) at least even tho they don't have same meaning like "vater" " eigene" but l can remember with some similarity with those
lol where i live ( herten- rheinfelden, swiss border ) we always say that the biggest citys near are basel and freiburg like freiburg is so urban for me but to be fair herten has like 5000 people living there so everything is compared big :)
You can do it! 🥺 I‘m Austrian (neighborhood country) and have a lot of German friends. They have an excellent health system and superb food, also the people are helpful most of the time. Don‘t give up! ❤💪
your room is starting to look more pretty and cozy like before. so glad to see you adjust to your new environment. goodluck & study hard! go eyoooool 🫶🏻
For the fruit flies. Put a small bowl or cup with equal parts tap water and vinegar then add 1-2 spoons of dishwashing liquid and live it close to where you store your fruit and vegetables (outside of fridge). Then change it every couple weeks and problem solved 😉.
I'm from Denmark (as Christopher! saw you watching his interview at the end of the video hehe) - really happy I found your videos! So cosy and easy to watch. I hope Germany treats you well and that you'll adjust even more to the new environment. And if you feel like a small getaway, Copenhagen is always a good idea :))
Always enjoy your videos from Seoul and now - from Germany! I used to stay in the same town for my german language school. Absolutely loved it! Your content brings so many good memories! Wish you to have the best time there!
This video was suggested to me and I find it very interesting. I think it's difficult for Koreans to study in foreign countries. Much of what is available at home is not available in Germany, for example. That's why I feel for you. I found the first video of you in Germany very sad and had to be ashamed of my fellow citizens, sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately, it's something you notice quite often, many cashiers are rude because they simply don't have time and are stressed when you ask them something in a different language. For many, foreigners who only speak English are new and they don't know what to do. I hope you don't take it to heart that you're probably experiencing more negative things to start with. Every beginning is new and it takes time but please believe me, there are so many nice and helpful people in Germany and many beautiful places. Think of the Christmas markets soon in December, I hope this will cheer you up. Hope you're feeling better bit by bit and happy belated birthday 💜
Get a cup with a bit of white vinegar, place plastic wrap over the top, and poke a few holes in it it will help with the fruit flies. Something about the vinegar attracts them. Hope this helps! 😊😊
a tip for the fruit flies: if you mix apple juice with a bit of dish soap and vinegar and leave it somewhere in your apartment for a few hours, it's a perfect fruit fly trap and you will get rid of them very quickly!
Fruit Flies_ a glass of apple vinegar and a little sprtiz of dish soap (e.g. Spüli here in Germany), put it somewhere where it is not in your way - and there you go: best fruit fly catcher ever! No, it is not stinky at all - I use it for years now and it works perfect!!!
I have studied German in school for 6 years and when I travelled to Berlin this summer I was also struck by the language 😭I got used to it after 2 days but still struggled with spoken German for the rest of the trip HAHAH btw love from Sweden!
it seems really hard .. you had to move to korea to establish a new order .. now you are in a country you never knew it was very sweet to see you ate kebab on the first day hehe .kebab Turkish food but there are too many Turkish restaurants in Germany because there are too many Turkish immigrants. The only thing that hasn't changed in the eyol vlog for years is the love of onions. old turkish yolliest ( lies 20 years old)
Girl, the eggs of fruitflies sit on the fruit you buy from the supermarket (bananas especially) and they will hatch once you are at home. I suggest either putting your fruit in the fridge, which will hinder the developement of the eggs or to use a natural fruit fly trap: use a glass/jar, and add water, a little apple cider vinegar and a little dish soap.
I don‘t know if you pay extra for your heating, or if you even have gas heating, but you might need to be weary this winter. The gas prices are pretty high because of the war. Also, the food you cook looks so delicious!
Don‘t worry about the fruit flies, they‘ll be gone soon. There are only soooo many because the weather was too warm. Normally we only have them in hot summer months but right now it‘s like a plague.
it's been a while since i've seen your blogs and i always have such a fun time catching up on what i missed. glad to see you settling in in germany eyol!
Heyy I just remembered your fruit fly problem from the last video- you can put a small amount of vinegar, water and dish soap in a cup and after a day or two all the fruit flys will be dead in the cup :] not very elegant but cheaper and more effective than the traps from dm
20 years ago, my very first teaching job was in Germany - I lived on supermarket ciabattas. Try with some cream cheese and strawberry jam - so yummy! (German bakeries are the BEST!)
Hii, I'm a enjoying the new videos you've made bcs I'm currently living in Germany too!! Hope more content from you and hopefully you'll be always happy living here for this one year! And about German, I did learn some German in my country for like more than 10 years but my language still crappy and struggling for most basic conversations, I know how hard it is, but you can do it well!! Keep fighting!!!
I am happy that you are enjoying yourelf more and adapting, compared to the last vlog which was a little heartbreaking😞💔. But you got this girl!! time heals and changes everything. Also get ready to break the bank with student discounts, they turn you into a shopping addict 😭 😂.. All the love from London 💕
Hi Eyol! I’m so proud of you. Actually I also did cry on your first video. It must’ve been so difficult for you. If it was me, I could’ve called my dad a hundred times and regretted every second but we’re asian girls! We’re brave! Hahaha i just want to know your thoughts about BTS right now huhuhu can’t help but cry yesterday when they announced 😢
It seems like you are still having a hard time in Germany. Yes, there are things that are super annoying here but I think you will get used to it after a while.

She’s right
Haha! So truth! Frankly my German boyfriend is still struggling to explain of German grammar when I ask him something. I wish my mother tongue was German.😂
So true! I am a native speaker, studied German and am a German teacher and I still have to think twice sometimes 😅

Watching your recent videos motivates me because I'm moving next year to Germany and you show situations I might get to be 😆.
OMG YES THE FRUIT FLYS THEY R ALWAYS THERE
Get a cup with a bit of white vinegar, place plastic wrap over the top, and poke a few holes in it it will help with the fruit flies. Something about the vinegar attracts them. Hope this helps! 😊😊

If you have fruit flys in your home, just fill a glass with apple cider vinegar and dish soap an all of them will drown in it
I don’t think I’ve told you this but I love the little animations you put in at the end of your video!! so cute ❤

dont be mad at yourself it's really hard learning a new language!
You are so relatable and funny. As foreigners I had time exactly as you experienced
Love you speaking German, very impressed with your progress :)
The fruit fly battle animation at the end 😂

i'm loooving these germany vlogs, can't wait to see more :D hope you're having a good time
eyooool nim! hope you have a great day today🥰❤️
ever since i put my compost in the freezer, my life changed! maybe try that out!

It seems like you are still having a hard time in Germany. Yes, there are things that are super annoying here but I think you will get used to it after a while. In general I think Germany is a good place to live. Don't worry about the language struggles. After living here for some time somehow everyone masters the language. 🙂
Your vlogs are always so calming!! Also, hiii fellow Army 💜 Is Yoongi your bias?
Wishing you all the best in Germany!
i hope you can find the beautiful side of germany :) ! toi toi toi!
The fruit flies don't really follow any logic....😂 They are everywhere.... sometimes there isn't even food nearby 🙃😅
oh god fruit flies are so annoying. you can try keeping your food scraps bag in the freezer to keep fruit flies from hatching.
