When John Williams gonna die ... the world is gonna lose one of the greatest legends and talents the world has ever seen especially in the music scoring industry!
We're blessed to still have him today given that he was already in his mid-40s when he scored the very first Star Wars. Who would've thought that he'd outlive Carrie Fisher?
What a living legend. I’ve had the honor of seeing him live 13 times, and it’s breathtaking to see him conduct the music from Star Wars and beyond only feet away. Can’t wait to hear what he’s done for TROS!
the only thing about star wars that absolutely EVERYONE can agree on is that John Williams is awesome. the score of Star Wars is undeniably one of the greatest parts of our pop culture
Cameron Bleecker indeed and definitely a redeeming quality of any Star Wars film. Definitely a very emotional experience to be able to hear his last work for a new Star Wars film.
The fan base can split on certain aspects of Star Wars but when they are all united in their love for the music and John Williams, you know that’s something quite magical.
God bless you Master John!! You are a legend and we thank you so much for the Star Wars music!! and for all the wonderful music you've written. Your music has always been the soul of Star Wars!!! Much love and admiration from Mexico🤗
Gallo Pinto indeed... definitely wills be a moving moment knowing this will be his last Star Wars music he will compose, an absolute pleasure to look forward to this week.
Eh the music in TLJ was very tame, not really anything new. And both TFA and TLJ WAYYY overuse, and misuse, the force theme. I love John Williams he's my idol but, yeah he definitely is just doing like a greatest hits orchestration, sad that he is like the rest of us and can't fit in well to the lackluster Sequel Trilogy
@@MaxRamos8 I don't think the Force theme has been _misused_ but rather _overused._ I don't think it's bad though; this trilogy highlights the roots of the Force and we get to see its influence on the generation in the trilogy. It'll probably be used much less in TROS than the previous two.
Hope he is still around for Indiana Jones 5 which has been rumoured to have Alan Silvestri as a co-composer. It is sad that the London Symphony won't record again, in the past there were two great Orchestras in London for recording, those being the LSO and National Philharmonic which was disbanded in the 90s and Jerry Goldsmith worked with them for years.
John Williams is the most influential composer of the last 45 years bar none. He developed THE modern language of Film music with Star Wars, Close Encounters, Raiders and ET. He returned to the "Romantic" scores of Korngold, used his influence of the great Russian and European composers and of course his mentor Henry Mancini to emotionally hook us in and make us feel the strongest emotions at exactly the right time. There are film composers and then there is John Williams.
The music on the trailer from last month was the best thing about the whole trailer. That slow brooding out-of-this-world climb that starts with just a few plucks and then everything comes in... and it leads to that crescendo where you hear the main Star Wars theme but it's slowed with background chords that add a different layer to it... John Williams the Yoda of OST composition
His piece... into the asteroid field... it takes me to a different place, almost like you can feel darting through the field as imperials are hot on your tail.
John doesn’t look his age and I hope he’s just as healthy as he appears! Truly a legend and I’m so deeply grateful for his role in my life and the lives of so many others
Blockbuster movies will never be the same without this man. The biggest movies of all time, the classics that everyone will always remember, so many of them just wouldn't be the same without his iconic themes. It's hard to think of Jaws or Jurassic Park without also thinking of the music.

Max Ramos Don’t say the rest of us like it applies to everyone. If you don’t enjoy the new movies as much that’s totally fine but don’t disregard anyone who feels differently than you
@@Business_News I have to disagree. Even though John might have said that, he composed pretty badass music for the uninspired prequels, and the sequels have had much more life to them. Say what you want about the plots for the movies, the sequels, overall, have much more life than the prequels yet John is still able to compose great music all around
A great musician, composer and conductor. From his days as a pianist for Henry Mancini on "Peter Gunn" in the 50's, through his years at 20th Century-Fox in the 60's ("Lost in Space", others), and then his movie scores, starting in the late 60's and 70's, he has built upon the legacies of Max Steiner, Alfred Newman, Erich Korngold, Mancini, and others. And he's still going at 86.
If he decides to retire after this, I wouldn't be disappointed. He has MORE than proven himself, we are all lucky to have had this man for such a long time.
Whatever reaction you have to the film, I would urge you to stay and sit through the end credits music and appreciate that we sadly will not have the pleasure of the work of Williams for that much longer. He is one of the last of the 2nd generation of film composers.
The greatest unifying factor to all three trilogies: this genius man right here.
Without his music Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars.
Justin Clement 🤘🎥🤘
Imagine SW without its music. No you cant because its impossible.
These trilogies are far from unified. However, John Williams is still the Maestro. 😎
Has he medically been tested and verified to be a genius?
Star Wars wouldn't be what it is without John Williams elevating it to a whole different level.
I would argue that ANY movie isn't what it is without John.
