To the ppl that says that we dvj mains are collectively downplayin on this comments section, we're just doing it in good fun! We knew what we signed up for when using this character, and it's hard not to poke fun at our character Edit: this video is also a very great help to those who finds his gimmicks unbearable. My advise when fighting against a dvj is WAIT. Do not haphazardly take your turn, move around, sidestep, but when you pressure, do not CONTINUOUSLY attack. That dvj might resort to b3 or u4, and if you block it, they're dead
Thanks for educating these people on devil jin counterplay, mainman. I can see lots of hate comments on devil jin players being downplayers, but it's a huge misunderstanding. See, we devil jin players are used to play with mostly solid fundamental tools and with a little bit of out-of-jail card such as samsara, but now they made devil jin into mostly gimmicks and not so much solid fundamental tools. Gimmicks can be killed and all you are left with is fundamentals. So when the opponents know all your tricks, you're left with a pretty much garbage character. "Devil Jin still works! Stop downplaying!" Im sorry but this very sentence simply means you don't know the matchup, lol. So git gud. People who knows the matchup makes our life, devil jin players, like a literal hell. It's simply miserable. The only reason he still works in ranked to this day is because the majority of players aren't as good as they think they are. Yes, swallow that pill. Instead of whining, learn the matchup and git gud bro. We're not that big of a problem if you want to put "a little effort" into fighting us and learning some of our tricks, because we put our max effort to learn all those tricks to make devil jin works. At least, he's usable still. We'll wait for bamco to delete his arms and legs in the next patch. Maybe then y'all devil jin haters can be happy when that time comes. Peace out.
Cant agree more. Like TMM once said T8 DJ isnt the same as T5-T7 DJ anymore. People saying "you have to work hard now unlike before the character carried you" is pure bs bcs hes always on the top difficult usage and must always relied on your own fundamental to do well with the character, and thats the thing in T8 he isnt even a fundamental based character anymore. Hence why even on the past games only qudans who can perform good on him consistently while many others cannot. Also wouldnt be surprised if bamco just decided to nerf his db1+2 and ignore him for the rest of the year lmao
Every time I play DVJ I actually feel conflicted, like a true DVJ main I do have split personality disorder. I never know If what I'm doing and how I'm attacking is considered fair play or straight BS and lack of skill. Whether I should feel happy about winning a match or sad. I try to play an honest DVJ without throwing samsara/fly/charge up/consistent electrics 1+2 like a monkey, cause I was never really used to it in the first place and I'm near Fujin. Well, in 200h i took 5 characters to Battle Ruler, so I believe I would be higher if I spent time on DVJ only. The problem is that playing him in an honest way is painful when everyone knows him in and out. I mostly gotta "assert dominance" with the "neutral" or some while standing 4s/hellsweeps or just simply try my best to frametrap people. But ofc this type of gameplay works only if my enemy is a monkey. It's funny how I basically never use mourning crow either outside of the CH one, because people attack like crazy and I would get floated 99% of the time. And even tho we have the charge up 1+2 I refuse to use it every time my enemy is near the wall. On one side it's way too sad to be on the receiving end of this so i don't want to torture my enemies at the wall and I wanna feel like I could do better than that, but on the second hand even when I do use it from time to time it doesn't feel broken at all, because people already know how to counter it. The truth is that we play a specialist character and if we play him correctly we can be godlike no matter what move we use and that's considered skill, BUT also the truth is that samsara/fly/charge up are recognized as gimmicky tools and no skill whatsoever, and I keep wondering if we really have much choice. For now I'm happy when I do win, with some really occasional gimmicks tho. The character for me seems inconsistent and has only a few combo patterns so I might as well use whatever I can to win a match. And also for people who for some reason cry about the charge up 1+2 - Since DVJ is one of the most important characters in the TEKKEN franchise and he is a literal Devil he needs to have some powerful tools to solidify "his place". Every Mishima has and will have broken tools, cope with it.

I never lose to DVJ cause I DC on loading screen🙌🏽
Why would mainman do this to the devil jin mains? Has he no mercy?
Devil Jin as “low tier” as he is KICKS MY ASS😂. And I’m a tekken emperor lol
you jsut dont know the matchup. now step right, duck, and launch lol
@@parry3439 "just sidestep hom, bro" advice
@@РоманСмородов-л2в he’s right though haha as annoying as the advice is, side stepping even without knowing the matchup, punishes SOOOO many braindead flowcharts lol and like without even having great timing 😂
Yep switching my main from DvJ to Alisa i guess.😂😂😂
I can see the next Patch Devil Jin Nerfs and Jin Buffs 😂
Under Tekken God you don't even have to beat Diablo Jim, Diablo Jim beats himself by throwing random fly moves
Here's my method:

ive seen so many anti characters, but TMM's are much more comprehensive
So devil jin has jins old weaknesses
I need a mix box mishima tutorial from you fr, I don't have the dexterity for that lmao
Bros kicking a dead horse 😂😂
How dare you, we had 4 moves
