    Without the sharp rims and corners it looks a lot safer for pedestrians than the Tesla Cybertruck but the design is not as 'sharp' in my opinion. I think it is a smart move of Dongfeng to try and take the Chinese truck market before Tesla does.

    • @0ooTheMAXXoo0

      They cannot "take" the market for many years since they have to ramp up production for years just to be making enough trucks to make a difference to the statistics... It is not likely that any one company will "take" any market. Tesla's ultimate goal is to have 20% of the market of new car sales which seems near impossible for any company to achieve...

      ..
      and families definitely really need more affordable options on more ways to make up for the endless money printing causing endless devaluing dollars = ongoing inflation.
      The political puppets can't have it both ways and not expect things get out of control. People will only take so much before protests over all the financial problems caused by our own government. 😮 🤔

And, yeah, if this copycat ever comes out, the 50k cybertruck might already be available. • @0ooTheMAXXoo0

      The straight panels on the cybertruck is because the steel is so strong that they cannot bend it. The main reason the cybertruck looks like it does is because of functionality. Curvier shapes means soft steel like every other car. Differences from the cybertruck will in most cases mean less functionality since the main deciding factor for cybertruck design was functionality.

    • @SteveLomas-k6k
      @SteveLomas-k6k 5 месяцев назад +2

      @@0ooTheMAXXoo0 The last thing the CT design was about was functionality- certainly not as a truck. It's to get attention. • @lkrnpk
      @lkrnpk 5 месяцев назад

      I would say Cybertruck is all about the appearance of functionality. Elon knows that vast majority of truck buyers do not actually haul much in the bed or anything, they just want to brag they have the toughest car out there, main thing it should be big, mean looking and have “country” vibe. Cybertruck maybe does not have the latter but they definitely went for poser crowd who buy trucks to show how “manly” they are, not to haul stuff

    You guys got more freedom in Australia, here in Canada we weren’t able to buy anything we wanted, I’m all for BYD car if it was allowed, but first they need to have an established dealership so if it was ever broken I have places to fix them, it’s a new car company so there might be some broken parts and quality issues.

  • @ismailnyeyusof3520

    It’s just another China copy of a (usually) American or European design. Expect to see this being offered for sale in China and later the rest of the world soon. As for Cybertruck’s seemingly sharp corners, I had a chance to inspect one closely at a Tesla showroom in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thr sharpest corners at the back are actually both rounded off and placed quite high above the ground and unlikely to injure any pedestrian. The corners at the front are an optical illusion as they are part of well rounded off corners and won’t injure any pedestrian any more than traditionally designed vehicles would.

  • @timokuusela5794
    @timokuusela5794 5 месяцев назад

    Without corruption, it is impossible to sell Cybertruck in EU as a "car". It will be actual "truck" ,speed limited to 80 km/h. And there will be other "truck" regulations too. The sharp edges alone would make it impossible to register as a "car", and trucks have similar regulations; there can not be sharp things to harm pedestrians. Even the lights are illegal here, but that is the case with most electric cars, as continuous light bars at either end are actually forbidden.

      Every Tesla model is cheaper than the gas cars that they are competitive with!!! Has been that way since the early days of the Model S. Larger margins than gas cars while you get more for the same price or lower price for same specs... Model 3 is just about the cheapest new car you can buy in the USA total cost of ownership for 5 year and 10 year calculations. Cybertruck should be very cheap to manufacture and they will have versions that are much cheaper once they ramp up their supply chain and manufacturing... 50k version will be no problem for example... maybe even a 40k version like they announced before we had 22% inflation in the few years since...

      Outlets for tools: 0 in frunk, 3 total
      The cybertruck is cheaper, accelerates faster, has 10x the torque 2 extra inches of ground clearance, with the credit its $ 2760 cheaper (because the rivian can't even get the full credit somehow), the cybertruck has steer by wire, the Tesla OS on an 18" extremely responsive touch screen display, with a smaller one in the back, an insanely tough and durable (and heat resistant) exoskeleton with the torsional rigidity of a sports car, a simple interior with no frivolous buttons, bidirectional charging, better thermal management, an amazing sound system, a lockable tonneau cover which is so strong you need special tools to break into and one of the biggest windscreen wipers on the planet
      The rivian, on the other hand, has an extra charging port in the frunk, and steering wheel stalks for people who need those, still, for some reason
      Given all of this information, what do you prefer about the Rivian truck? Because I have never driven either, maybe you know something I don't from just the specs

    Having rented Chinese cars on many occasions, I would never buy a Chinese car, ICE or EV. I simply cannot understand how people think these tinny cars are good. Perhaps it’s just the relentless advertising and promotional stimulus, particularly with Chinese EVs, that has people mesmerised like rabbits in a spotlight.

      @@RagnarinVa There are also many videos complaining about Tesla , GM, Ford, Chevrolet qualities and even call back to fix problems of the vehicles. Besides being the manufacturing capital of the world from low end to high end products China is now ahead in satellite network (Beidou), space station (Tiangong), vehicle rovers (Chang'an) on Moon and Mars, the largest network of high speed train (40,000km), No.1 seller of EVs in the world (electric vehicles) and I can go and on. China has surpassed quality issue long time ago. What make the West to Sh*t in its pants now is THAT CHINA CAN BUILD HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS AT HALF OR EVEN A THIRD OF THE PRICE.
