I don't get the whole "I want an SUV" craze, but to each their own. I am debating right now between the 2024 Genesis G80 3.5T AWD or the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V AWD.
For the Cadillac, it may be worth waiting for the 2025 refresh. The previews have been amazing!
Both seem to be getting refreshed in 2025 so you should wait
What are you getting?
Cadillac is a 3 L twin turbo v6 if I'm not mistaken, but both are in AWD, so honestly, at that point it's a decision in preference
Good luck finding a CT-5 V series. In my area they dont even have them im looking at having to ship one in for the 2025 model. All Cadillac dealers withing 2500 miles have no allotment for them
I can tell that Genesis is luxury to Hyundai's group
The G80 is out of my price range, but I'm absolutely considering a G70.

I thought about the 70, but it is a touch small for me. Sad they are going to discontinue it. It needed a refreshed dash at the very least, something more modern along the lines with the 340. I really don't like the middle to the right with the weird tach

The only negative is going to a crappy Hyundai dealer for service. Like taking your Corvette into a Chevy dealer for a issue.
@markj9544 I own a Genesis G80 and experienced only great service at the Hyundai dealership in my area (metro Atlanta).
We have a stand alone Genesis dealer in Utah
Yeah that is their biggest issue. They only have a handful of standalone dealers in the country right now. I think less than 10 last time I checked. Hyundai dealers are terrible and have no concept of what a luxury vehicle buyer is. The complaints are across the board about their service of Genesis vehicles.
Except you do take your corvette to a Chevy dealer

I've let mine sit for 2 - 3 weeks at a time...never had an issue.
Genesis, is their own brand. They have different designers and is not made in Korea.
Genesis are designed in Rüsselsheim, Germany, Namyang, South Korea, and Irvine, California in the United States. They are produced and manufactured, however, in Ulsan, South Korea.
They did poach a lot of designers from Germany though.

Btw most of my friends are in the automotive field just like me and we are just there to make our money and go home.

There’s no loyalty in those automotive jobs anymore.
We drive BMWs and lexus Mercedes and Porsche
