Long surgical/air line tubing on that bleeder valve, vacuum and pour more. Saves time and avoids brake fluid dripping on other parts.

Thanks Peter, my Honda Civic clutch and brake fluids are a little dark so I'm changing them soon. I run a rubber tube from the nipple into a glass jar, so I can watch for clear fluid exiting the tube when the pedal is depressed. Cheers.

Genuinely curious....how is dirt introduced into the clutch fluid system? Or is the fluid inherently dirty as it breaks down?

I recall opening the bleeder at the clutch slave cylinder and using a vacuum pump connected to an air hose to draw the old fluid out and refill the reservoir on the clutch master cylinder.

Love your videos! Please keep up the great work. I would like to try this myself on my 1997 Tacoma. So I shouldn’t have to worry about bleeding the line if I do it this way? I feel confident I can do this myself but worry about getting air in the line.

Wondering how to clean an engine that looks like that?
Step one is to wipe as much dirt off as you can with some dry rags. (A vacuum with a synthetic bristle brush will work too, if you don't mind cleaning the oil off the brush later, because the engine will probably have some oily dirt on it.) Then use some damp rags to remove the rest of the dirt, which got wet and stuck to everything. That is usually good enough. Don't apply a lot of force to old hoses, plastic vacuum lines, and wires, because the heat under there can make them brittle.
But if you want perfection, dampen a rag with mineral spirits, and get the rest of the oily dirt off. Mineral spirts will evaporate completely. Before detergents were available, people washed clothes with it twice a year to get the oil from their skin out of the clothes.
Do not use water from a hose to clean under the hood of modern vehicles There is too great a chance to get water inside the many, low voltage wiring connectors, and cause corrosion on the contacts which will be very expensive to diagnose and repair.
Of course, since it is a machine, it doesn't matter if it is dirty.

A better flush is to also press down the clutch pedal with the bleed port open, then close it before taking foot off clutch pedal.

@Toyota Maintenance. Thank you Professor Peter on today's class on clutch fluid servicing and antenna stud removal. I wondre whether a Speedout
    www.homedepot.com/p/Ontel-Speed-Out-Speed-Out-Titanium-Screw-Extractor-4-Piece-1000367/303667297
would work for removing that broken stud? Maybe the stud metal is too hard for using such a extractor?
Hope you and your family stay safe and well.
