WWII Warbirds Over The Potomac: The Arsenal Of Democracy Flyover, 2015

In honor of the 70th anniversary of VE Day, those of us along the Potomac were treated to a remarkable sight: a wonderful gathering of vintage WWII-era aircraft making their way down the river towards DC for a very unusual flyover. We took a chance and tried the Great Falls aqueduct observation deck on the Maryland side of the river, and despite the local tree cover, were granted some beautiful views as the formations swept in from Leesburg and down towards town.
