I love this show. Thanks for a great show. For those that are spouting hate towards Muslims go watch the show. they are people just like us. For those that are spouting hate about the way Sitar is dressed. Well she is not Muslim but she did a very respectful job IMHO of playing one and showed them in a good light. When she is not on the show she can wear what she likes.

There are a lot of muslim women in the world who prefer modern style like her. And they still perform their religion. 🌷

I just accepted the faith of being a Muslims. I am a member of the Nation of Islam and I embrace all Muslims sister and brothers, I live a Rastafarian lifestyle for well over 10yrs and I have always supported my Muslims brothers, this show was interesting to watch.

The comments section of this video keenly illustrates the problem. There is no set way to be a Muslim. This show was offering a variety of perspectives. Also Sitara Hewitt is not Muslim. She's Anglican.

waffles1567: Sittara isn't muslim, tho she has partial pakistan muslim decendants. She was raised & is Christan. Only two cast members were muslim: Zaib Shaikh (Amaar) & Aliza Vellani (Layla)

The show was funny. I do miss it. I had no idea so much fuss was made over this funny and stress releasing (on both sides) sitcom.

Did anyone actually watch the interview ,, because according to the comments most of the people here don't seem to understand a word ,,, cursing at muslims and Islam (I think some people have this as a permanent job now), if u hate islam that much why r u watching videos about it,, do u have that much emptiness in ur life!!!! ,,,,
and judging Sitara Hewitt for not dressing up modestly (she's christian,, did u expect her to come wearing a hijab ??!!) besides even if she was muslim she's free to wear what she likes and it's not our job to judge her since none of us if perfect!!!!

    • @redrose9350

Good points! Nevertheless, Sitara ought to try to show some respect to her audience by dressing less provocatively! Especially, if she is a Christian! It would have helped to bring the message of this show 'home', also! There is enough controversy, and she made it worse! Esp, since she represents the Muslim and the Christian perspectives!
Anyway, the sitcom was wonderful! I loved it!

ALL religions spew bullshit, hatred, and bigotry, and are anti-intellectual, anti-science, homophobic and misogynistic.
All religions have hate-filled fanatics/extremists, and good, kind followers.
Little Mosque worked because it was HILARIOUS, well-written and had a grand cast.
I watched it many years ago, and a serendipitous stumble led me to it 7 days ago. I binged on season 1, and am now limiting myself to 2 episodes a night.

Wait, are you saying that I don't understand men, because you understand women so well? That's very hypocritical and arrogant of you. What is it about the human body being shown that insults you so much? I would say that the mere fact you pointed out there still existed a difference (however small you may think it), 'degrees of nakedness' you stated, shows you know there's a difference, but don't want the responsibility of holding in your crudeness. Again, what about Manoj Sood?

Oh ok, so you're telling me nobody else noticed Sitara Hewit's legs!? What is this? Babar accent? I'm the pervert now? I mean somebody has to bring this up.

This show didn't promote tolerance, it promoted religious tolerance. A tolerance of archaic thinking at the expense of science and social progress. There was one episode about gays being married in the church (which the muslims shared), and I forget what happened exactly, but there was no meaningful message about the tolerance of gays. It was more along the lines that religious "respect" is more important. Keep your religion off free society.

I am a Muslim living in the U.S.A and I saw this show I was kind of happy because I saw that we muslims were spreading the deen but then I saw this interview and became really disappointed especially by sittara Hewitt because she portrays herself as a steadfast Muslim in the show but the is completely shameless in real life like on this talk show she was showing all of her legs and her dress was very reveling astgfirulah I hope she becomes a better Muslim and wears a head scarf in real life too

THE PROPHET (SAW) SAID THERE WILL COME A TIME IN THIS DEEN THAT THE MUSLIM WILL FOLLOW A LIZARD DOWN ITS HOLE. ISLAM DOES NOT NEED A COMEDY, A TV SHOW DRAMA. THIS IS THE RELIGION OF ALLAH AND IT WILL GO FOWARD.
MEN & WOMEN ARE NOT ALLOW TO MIX. PERIOD. THE LAW OF ALLAH IS FOR ALL TIME.
DO NOT THEY TO CHANGE THE LAW OF ALLAH, OR U MIGHT EARN A SEAT IN THE FIRE
